I thought the club were going to have words....clearly having an impact. Stream gone for 2nd time and been off for over a minute !
-
Got into a good position on couple of occasions but we lack the skills to find final telling pass or cross. Excellent Polworth pass to Cole who just crossed randomly without looking up to see where anyone was.
-
Guaranteed every game...

A bit dramatic Dave, 3 of the back five played International Games a couple of weeks back. McGinley is also a defender. Maguire is the only player that could be out of position and even then he has played defensively before. If we get any injuries during the game then it would be a worry for sure. Fingers crossed we get much needed 3 points.
-
Quite a few defenders of St Mirren stance earlier in the thread. FWIW I would agree if they have been unlucky and / or unfortunate but the SPFL must feel there is a case that St Mirren have not been following as stringently the Covid protocols as other clubs have. That would appear to be backed up by repeated multi player outbreaks. Time will tell but something appears quite fishy in the state of Paisley...
-
Well if it is left up to the SPFL we should find out in season 25-26 what they would like to do for season 20-21. Killie game was 3 weeks ago FFS. Are they waiting for feedback from Hercule Poirot. They will not award 3 points and a 3-0 win so tell us when the game can go ahead and same with St Mirren game.
-
He will end up at Oxford or Aberdeen / Hibs... I would take him back but he was hot and cold and injury prone. A fully functioning Cadden would walk into any team outside the Old Firm up here.
-
He did say he would get in trouble with the gaffer..... He strikes me as quite a knowledgeable guy and is well spoken. But for all that it is very naive to say some of the things he said. As an employee of any company you are better not to infer or state the competition is better in a live discussion even if it is true. In some ways I am glad he made his comments about St Mirren. Even if it is totally untrue it Throws the cat amongst the pigeons. One hopes if gets the SPFL to make any kind of decision coming up to 3 weeks after the Kilmarnock game. The silence is deafening.

Your responses tend to be a tad condescending. No one is purporting to be an expert and a lot of posts are borne out of frustration that the game was cancelled at the last minute. What I am querying and many others is how is it possible for 2 1st team players to test positive and ONLY one player requires to isolate. Then you have another positive test and as many as 4 or 5 suddenly need to isolate. Are these 1st two players introverts that keep to themselves and only mixed with one player. I don’t believe for a minute St Mirren are at it as it could bite them big time. But how difficult is it to say to test and trace that 4 or 5 players were in close proximity to the 3rd player who tested positive when there was probably little difference to the initial 2 players. If you were a conspiracy theorist you could say when the 1st two players tested positive they wanted to keep as many other players for our game. Then the minute another player tested positive and quite probably another key player - lets get this game off. The problem is that there will be no way for the SPFL to prove it even if they did bend the rules.
-
Very much this. Only one additional player tested positive and suddenly they are unable to field a team. How do you have two testing positive with only one additional player isolating and then one additional positive test and Armageddon ensues. It does not make sense. I have to believe that St Mirren are not at it but u could see how if suddenly they are missing half their 1st team s it would be best for them for the game not to go ahead. Of course the SPFL investigation will get to the bottom of it and we will learn of their decision in 2023.

An away point is usually always acceptable. However we have had a mediocre if not poor start to the season by all expectations. Beating Aberdeen 3-0 away and being the better side v Hibs at Easter Rd shows what we are capable of. The problem is we have lost too many narrow games v teams that ought be be below us come the end of the season. So we really need to start winning against the St Mirren and Ross County’s etc. I know I am tempting fate but St Mirren are on a 5 or 6 games losing streak in the league. Please Motherwell let’s not be the team to give them a much needed 3 points. Lets start to put a winning run together and try and establish us as the best team outside the top 4 with a chance maybe to challenge Hibs and Aberdeen come the end of the season.
-
Is it not now 5 caps and 5 wins = 100% record = fkin impressive. Hopefully he can pick up on these performances for us next few weeks.
-
The BBC should stop fkin about with votes. Like every Rangers or Celtic player will not win regardless of the reason behind the vote. It is a joke. Literally Tony Watt could beat 7 opposition players from his own half and score from 20 yds v Defoe scoring a trundled deflection from 10 yards and that would get 80% of the vote.
-
Again - when was the last time we had 2 players in a competitive game for Scotland. I agree neither has been consistent for us but I hope they do themselves and Scotland justice.
-
Have we ever had 2 players playing at the same time in the full Scotland Team ? To be fair Gallacher would be better than McTominay at CB. If Clarke comes up with 3 at the back now with no Tierney then he is not the man for the job for me. I am thinking these players missing may be a blessing in disguise if he now plays a 4-4-2 0r 4-5-1.
-
Tough one. Although even if he signed a one year extension then you could argue his worth to us in the team is as much as the compensation would likely be. Certainly the case of he signed 2 year extension. Lets face facts - if he was that desirable to any club that could afford him they would have bid this window and not risk him signing for any number of clubs come January. No bid as far as I am aware materialised.

Flow tweeting that no incomings tonite. But has suggested a free agent possible next few days ?
-
Looks like Nada happening on deadline day. Good news re Campbell but I was hoping we could have got a winger in and maybe moved one or two on. Club tweeting a picture of Cole an hour ago suggest that is that. Hopefully Carroll is back next month and can stay fit.
-
It is a decent effort to be fair. Although the clue / mistake is him agreeing terms with Motherwell ! Would like some drama as long as it does not involve Campbell going out the door.
-
Sensible but hardly inspiring or that exciting.....
-
That is a very valid point. However it does fall down in that the Betfred Cup starts as a mini league. So if Killie forfeit games v Falkirk and Dunfermline how does that not unfairly disadvantage Clyde and Dumbarton who are in the same league ?
-
I listened to Doncaster on Sportsound and he was essentially saying that Killie could forfeit the Betfred Cup Games v Falkirk and Dunfermline, but that they do not have the powers to do so for a league game. It would be somewhat bizarre if Falkirk and Dunfermline were awarded a 3-0 win but not Motherwell FC for exactly the same set of circumstances. Inability to field a team. The interesting point was that St Mirren could prove the rest of their squad was OK and unlikely to have breached strict bubbles / guidelines. Whereas Kilmarnock were unable to do this ! So one wonders what any investigation will uncover...…. As much as I would like the 3 points without playing this would be a minefield and the least likely option. The game will be re-scheduled and if it is found that Killie players have breached protocols then there is a precedence to punish the players and even fine the club. IMHO you cannot find Kilmarnock FC guilty on the basis of stupidity of players much like the Aberdeen 8. Ban the guilty players for X games and make sure our game is re-scheduled during that timeframe. Assuming there has been any wrongdoing from Killie players. Innocent until proven guilty etc.
-
St Mirren rightly should be angry at this decision if and when confirmed. I fully accept that health comes first, but I would be hoping for a similar outcome when we inevitably have a handful of players with Covid19. A precedent has been set if this game is off.
-
If you add the coefficient points of all 3 clubs it comes to 16. Good luck to Dundalk. The Moldovan mob were seeded higher but to get a Faroes team in the play off round is taking the piss a little when others are playing Spurs, AC Milan etc. I am glad we were in Europe and hope to be again soon. But that does not change my mind that UEFA it is one of the most self serving organisations on planet earth. Basically it all about how we maximise revenue and literally NOTHING to do with sporting integrity. I have never agreed with seedlings in cup competitions but the fact UEFA seed every round up to the group stages is ridiculous. And as mentioned to give Champions League losers multiple chances and an easier path. Taking the piss at this point......

That depends on whether they feel there is a risk to other players inc our Team. I am not sure the protocol but as long as they have 13 fit players and a goalie the agreement is for the game to go ahead. If 6 are affected then that would leave enough players to play the game.
