With the money being paid for players down south a figure around £1.5m is fair for marvellous Marv. Whatever we get for him. I would worry big time next season. He is the one player who on his day looks the part and creates from nothing. A huge loss if he goes this summer.

It was clear fir all to see we were well of the pace. It was clear for all to see the defence was chronic It was clear for all to see that we are not up to speed and next Saturday will probably come to soon for us That said I have been very optimistic before and we have come a cropper, so I hope my fears are unfounded.

I went along and for 2 minutes it was a great game. Shame about the next 90 or so. Defending like amateurs if not worse. Hibs did not have to work hard for their goals. At one point it was shooty in for Hibs and it easily could have been a worse scoreline if they had taken easier chances. Hibs fans would be relieved they did not get Skippy on that peformance. Hard to find any positives. Thank god for Murray - so I could watch most of the 3rd set on the phone as nothing was happening on the pitch. Credit to Leanne Dempster who came over to say hi to a few fans at HT. We have had poor pre- seasons before and managed to do ok. But after today I could not see us beating many Top flight teams

Going to head along to Easter Rd today since almost a home game.. Looking forward to seeing some new players in Claret and Amber. Wonder who will be assistant to McGhee ? Craigan possibly, but would he give up his media duties as not sure he could do both

More like fkin pathetic I hate it when stalwarts of this club are treated like waste of space. A second year may prove a luxury but I would much rather retain the services of Hammell and Lasley than take a chance. For what we are paying them I suspect this still represents good business.

The point is sadly it did. Motherwell lost out far more than most other clubs than maybe Celtic, Partick and Killie when Rangers imploded. They absolutely deserved their fate. But we lost out on 5-10% of our gate receipts as a result. We are a business and it is no surprise that our losses have been greater the past few years. I don't like it any more than anyone else on here but the Old firm out a fair chunk of cash in our coffers. I am sure the club budgeted for 3 home games v the old firm and to only get 2 will quite probably mean we may well have 2 less players in the squad than we were planning or hoping for. The SPFL should have known this would be the outcome / reaction. The fact that they did not sums up that organisation and its leadership!

You cannot compare a midweek game with a non old firm club to us missing a Saturday to an Old firm club. I don't give a flying fuck about the midweek games away to Inverness or Ross County, because at best we only ever take a few hundred to these grounds on a Saturday as it is. I don't even mind us missing 1 game v others but 2 extra away games to the old firm puts us at a huge competitive disadvantage v the 3 teams who have 4 home games v old firm. So not only will we miss out on £250 k v these teams - we could also end up a couple of league places behind Dundee for example. Double shafted as it were. Nothing will change so we live with it. But anyone who fails to see this is an uneven playing field is blind as a bat......

Let's live in the real world for a minute We have been shafted. We have lost out on £120k of budgeted revenue. Our competition in the likes of Dundee will gain an extra £250k over us which is as much as 3 players. We stand less chance of gaining points having 2 away games more v old firm over 3 sides. The club are right to protest.mThe SPFL are a shambles and conjure up Sh1te like this routinely. That £120k is as much as the Well Society are raising in a year.

I likes Erwin a lot. But to be fair that was based on his last few months with us and not the previous 2 years. He did of course have a bad injury or two which slowed his progress. I would gladly have him back but doubt it would happen. Probably now end up at Rangers, Hearts or Aberdeen !!

See if I have this right ? Almost one full month since end of season and the only confirmed news is McManus on a 2 year deal. Happy about that. But we have rumours of Ainsworth to Plymouth. Hall to Brighton and now Robbie Leitch to Burnley. Flow to COO at the grand old age of 33.... Exciting times to be a Motherwell fan.......YAWN..... PS - Happy for Flow. Like the guy, but not sure the Commercial side of the club has been addressed at all. In terms of sponsorship and hospitality income. If he can help turn that around I will be convinced he has what it takes...

Decent set of fixtures Would like to go to Annan and I suspect quite a few will Glad to see we got a home game v Sevco. I hope we turn out in good numbers. That should be a good game and 100 times better and more relevant than a pre-season friendly Lets get behind the team from the get go.

Noted an article on news now site claiming that Ainsworth is mulling over a move to Plymouth Argyle. Maybe nothing in it, but they are claiming noises on social media. Wonder if there would be a nominal transfer fee as he still has a year left on contract. Always capable of a cracking goal, but struggle to find a slot in starting 11. Also Scotsman has Moult at No6 in top 50 premiership players from last season.....quite right

I agree. Great draw. Gives us a chance to earn a few pennies and stick it to them once again. Hopefully at Fir Park. Even were we to lose - the next 3 teams are easier than some other draws. Thinking about it - apart from Airdrie also it was a cracking draw. Will go to Annan away if a weekend. Hopefully we get a decent turn out v h**s at home. Few people go missing for these games. No stomach for the fight

Finishing 5th is hardly a rotten season. A rotten season is what we had last season. A rotten season is what United and Killie have had. Going forward 5th will probably be as good as it gets! Sore one today and a few players need a reality check. Beaten by a better team that were well up for it. Disappointing that a youngster like Watt did not give the impression he cared or the impression he tried.

Red neck for sure, but means nothing to me this game Finishing 5th is a result given we looked like heading into another play off or worse. Still proves we have not got a strong squad and little funds to strengthen.

Probably posted earlier in the thread but who is actually out of contract other than the 5 mentioned in the press? What about Wes Fletcher ? Seems to be mixed info on his contract situation ? Would be a shame if Hall leaves, but he is quite probably entitled to think if I am playing 1st team I should be on similar wage to Kennedy and Laing. Although he is a few years younger....
