  1. I am on page 34 of this thread, so no doubt someone has got there before me. How many fans would have started Cummins, Moore + Carswell in the play off games. My educated guess is NONE. Nothing agin them, but they are clearly not good enough. If they get p1ssed off with the manager for their shortcomings then so be it. I hope they carve out decent careers elsewhere but they are not top league material. I hope Moore proves me wrong, but his cameos have done nothing to convince me.
  2. Spoke to ticket office earlier. Looking for 2 tickets for friends ( I have mine ) - both Sheffield United fans. But being based in Edinburgh - it is a no go as they were only selling in person. Bit like GazzyB The chap at the office said it was unlikely to be an issue - opening the South stand to home fans. All 3 stands were selling well, but no sell out in the home ends. Until that happened - no real story. Expect there to be 7000+ Well fans. More than enough to drown out 1500 currant buns. Or 1500 + a few hundred infiltrators dotted around. Cmon boys - do they job - see us over the line..
  3. It would appear we are forgiven for last season Thanks Lets hope we can finish the job on Sunday
  4. I would have taken a draw or even a 1 goal defeat tonite, so a 2 goal advantage going in to the home leg is more than we could have hoped for. What tonite showed is we are every bit as good and have players that can score goals, something Hibs and QOS lacked. Play with the same passion and energy and we will come thorough this. Sure Rangers might score and in fact they probably will. But so will we. We play to win on Sunday and if we end up with a draw - party time
  5. If it is genuine and I believe there is previous to suggest that to be the case. I have one request - can someone from the club with higher English please PROOF READ these emails. I manage a team of reasonably intelligent people, but I still ask to review certain emails that are of vital importance and that are sent to key strategic clients to ensure minimal errors and the message is 99.9 % what it should be.
  6. Glad to hear it. Hopefully we are still in it for the 2nd leg. To outnumber them 4/5 to 1 may make a big difference. Be the 1st time I have ever watched an old firm game at Fir Park where we have had the majority of fans. Glad Rangers decided to get our backs up. Hugh Keevins is a cretin
  7. Flies in the face of what the club policy is or they are saying it is. Just having a Motherwell address would or should not guarantee you a ticket if you are not on a Well Society / Season ticket / Previous ticket buyer database. Plenty of Old firm fans live in Motherwell !
  8. Well done the club and Flow. Absolutely the correct decision - we are getting 2% of their capacity and they are getting 10% of ours. F@ck them if they have the temerity to complain. Glad also to see the sales restrictions for the home end for the 2nd leg. Should restrict the currant buns to a handful which can be easily managed if required....
  9. The club have a responsibility to the home support. They should not be selling tickets to anyone who is not on their system. I hope someone at the club is reading this or someone is having s word with Alan Burrows right now. I have just seen Neil McCann state on Sky Sports that Rangers will win - with no caveat on how we play. Almost as if it is not worth us turning up. Cm on Motherwell. It could be a Carlsberg moment none of us will forget. That is what is at stake.
  10. I would not give them the entire way end. Give them half of that and sit them at the back of the stand. Still nearly 2500 tickets If what I am reading on here is correct and the ticket staff are only selling home end tickets to those whose details they have on file and who have bought tickets before, then that should minimise the issues. Of course Rangers fans will have tickets for the home end. But stick to that policy and it should be a few hundred at most. I like most on here do not think that this Rangers side are anything special. If we can keep the Heid and play well at Ibrox we should have something to play for in the 2nd leg. I still worry about the Manager and his ability to get the players motivated and organised for the 1st leg. It may annoy a few on here but having 3 ex Celtic playersin Pearson, Skippy and McManus may well help. McManus said after the game on Saturday he will be bursting a gut to beat Sevco
  11. A few players including McManus and Pearson are one booking away from a suspension, no need to risk them. I would expect a few 1st team players, but the majority the lads that have been on the bench. Hardly a weakened team with the likes of Sutton and Ainsworth etc
  12. Would not surprise me. But would be a fkin disgrace. You support Motherwell u get your backside to Fir Park. No excuses. None. Priced well for a big crowd. Any of this crap about losing to the orcs - remember how the Lord of the Rings ended. The good guys won
  13. I saw that on twitter. Not very diplomatic or clever. I suspect he likes most of us gets a bit pissed off with all the negativity. I am sure he thought he would be welcomed with open arms and that there would be no or little criticism. He obviously did not reckon on the likes of Milo and MJC ...... Still as you said - not the best of responses.
  14. I have long since given up equating watching Motherwell with value for money. More so the extras such as hospitality etc. Many is the time I have been let down by average food, average service and just a general failure around what constitutes good customer service on many occasions. But I will keep going back because it is my passion - my ability to get way from pressures at work, even this season ! That is why most of us go back. I am happy to pay the season ticket prices for next season regardless what division we are in. If we do drop a division, then the club will need our support even more so.
  15. Spot on. The vast majority of us (myself included) wanted to help the club build a cash reserve for hard times. I am sure with more effort we can get a few hundred more members, but to get 2000 fans to continually put more money into the club alongside season tickets and hospitality and travelling away not likely to happen. Quite simply people either do not have the money and/or have other priorities. Les is a clever man - there is no doubt about that. He should have gone into this thinking - what if this does not come to pass. What happens then for him that is. We should be and are no doubt indebted to Les as he has somewhat come to our rescue. Hopefully he will continue to back us for a few years yet. Maybe there will be another buyer out there. As long as we are run on a prudent budget with no debt, then we should survive come what may.
  16. Absolutely this. I know money talks. But if all we get for Ibrox or Easter Road is between 950 and 1500 tickets then I would ONLY give them the top half of the South Stand - still 2250 tickets and double or 30% more than we would be getting. You are probably talking an extra £25k by selling the rest of the South stand. Hardly worth it, given what is at stake. Of course the home end would be infiltrated, especially by the currant buns
  17. I enjoyed that. Was a good listen. Always balanced views. Thought Matts point re us keeping up with Ross County was a fair one. 25 from 27 points was nothing short of miraculous from them. Keep up the good work.
  18. We should win the appeal but probably wont. What are their options ? You could argue it was a red and a 1 match ban. But is it a case it is either a red or yellow ? It was never intentional and as much as Reilly is stating a red was not warranted - his falling to the ground flailing about certainly did not help Skippy's cause at the time.
  19. It depends what allocation they give us if they beat Hibs. Any of that 950 sh1t and I would give them half the South stand at most. The top half at that. Nowhere near the main stand please. Not fair on other Well fans and Hospitality to mingle with that mob.
  20. I thought QOS played quite well as did Rangers at times. From what I saw from both teams - it will be a tough ask. Have to hope that Rangers run out of steam if they get past Hibs. By the time the play off comes around all fans will hopefully be behind the team and Manager. Many myself included are having a go to vent our frustration at what was a poor performance yesterday. Losing to Rangers would be a nightmare but beating them would be up there with European games and cup finals. The team need our support whether they deserve it or not.
  21. I would expect there to be no lap of anything given it is not now our last home game of the season.
  22. I will head along in the hope we do play some fringe players. Keeping our so called better players free from suspension after Skippy yesterday is more important than the result. I would also like to see the likes of Dom Thomas and Craig Moore given 90 minutes.
  23. I love the optimism, but that game today told me that essentially we have players that have not got a big game performance in them. Maybe if we take 4 fans to Ibrox they will perform, but we know anything over 1000 leads to an utter inability to play anything resembling competent football. As for the Manager. Talks an average game and delivers even less. It is like listening to a broken record and I wonder of the players feel the same. Never been to Palmerston. Looking forward to it.
  24. It is like fkin groundhog day. I generally am a glass half full kind of guy, but that was an abject performance for a must win game. Only saving grace is that with Kill ie and Ross C winning it did not matter much. However there is NO way and I mean NO way we are winning a 2 leg play off v Brora let alone Hibs or Rangers. The game is a bogey. Championship here we come. The players are spineless and I have to wonder what Baraclough is doing. That did not look like a side that was overly motivated given what was at stake. Would like to see the equaliser but Long looked culpable again. Hopefully league reconstruction means we are only down for one season. I will be at the play offs but only because I am deluded that this team and Manager can conjure up a miracle. Evidence of last few weeks suggests otherwise.
  25. It would appear that Leeds are also in for Lee Erwin. Would love him to stay but with every other day that passes and every other club that is mentioned it looks less and less likely. Not the finished article granted, but he has the attributes to do very well in the game. Typical for us - he comes on to a game on on the radar literally a couple of months before his contract is due up. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015/05/13/report-leeds-send-scouts-to-watch-celtic-linked-lee-erwin-after/?
