  1. THIS....22 points from 12 games and joint 2nd. It was painful to watch at times and if we play the last half hour like that v Dundee United, we will be gubbed. I thought Faddy played OK in the 1st half. Better than some of this seasons games. A few things he tried came off. Our ability to retain the ball second half in their half was woeful. Ainsworth and An ier was like bloody pinball which set another Hibs attack. Still 3 points and a clean sheet. Good Sunday evening.
  2. Just seen the BBC highlights. I was away on business and so missed the game, but I have spoken to a couple of people who were very upset with the performance and of course the result. Goal wrongly chalked off and another penalty that could and possibly should have been given. How many is that this year. It is getting beyond a joke!! Poor defending from the corner. You could Q the goalie not coming out, but Hut hy has to do better.
  3. The most poignant post of the night. I am off to bed to suffer nightmares of a smiling Pat Fenlon come Sunday at 3pm. Has our bubble burst - hope not but beginning to worry...
  4. To lose 2-0 to a team of a similar standard who are down to 10 men is honking, but so typical. Only saving grace is that I missed it. It is being a Motherwell fan, but does not excuse the fact it happens time and again. McCall screwed up on Sunday and much like Kuban - resting players made no difference at all. Hibs on Sunday - god forbid we lose. I will hibernate for the winter...
  5. mmmmmm Vigurs not even on the bench. Injury or his form of late?
  6. I noticed that also. If we lose I hope it is not because of god awful officiating - unless of course it is in our favour :-) Surely to christ we will not be denied another penalty.....
  7. Somebody take a photo please I am down south with work and would like to see the display.
  8. Not forgetting the stonewaller in Inverness when Vigurs was chopped down in the box. Add to the soft one Aberdeen got at Fir Park, I make it arguably 4-5 penalty decisions that have all gone against us. As for the second goal. Neilson made a mistake but I still blame Lawson whose stupid pass to Ramsden whilst Stevie May was a few yards away and the subsequent pass for Ramsden which was hit well away from Neilson and meant he was scrambling across his box on a very wet and windy day. Neither of these crap passes and decisions were made and Neilson has no decision to make and we probably don't concede a soft second goal. McCall's s after match interview was telling. They matched up to our formation after 10 minutes and that gave them the upper hand, well why not change it again. It was poor tactics from the Manager and poor performance by the players. Epitomised by May racing in to score the 1st and anticipating exactly what happened, all the while Hammell and McManus stood rooted to the spot! I can only assume that Anier and Ainsworth were carrying slight knocks and McCall did not want to take a chance what with the weather and the game on Wednesday.
  9. Thanksfully there is plenty of hope for me..... Did I say he was the problem! I said he is not the solution. No-one gets pass marks today including the Manager.
  10. Lawson and Ramsden are as much to blame for that second goal as Neilson. Stupid passes all round. Worst performance of the season and not surprising giving the team selection. Moore has done more in 2 minutes than McHugh did in 65 minutes. Vigurs is good for taking corners and that is about it. I have lost count how many times he loses the ball in midfield. Absolutely no width in the team which is a bizarre choice from McCall. I would have started with either Zaine or Ainsworth and Moore.
  11. It was always likely to be a catch 22. If he was guff he would stay but would we want him too and if he was delivering - which for the most part he has Viking would want him back. Best to be prepared. Would be inclined to give Moore and McHugh more of a chance with Sutton or Faddy in a more forward role.
  12. You fail to take into account our wage budget. I am not saying all McCalls signings have been spot on, but for the most part he has done well. Vigurs is our David Luiz. A very skilled and competent footballer, but a tad slow and lazy. Some of his passing today was sublime and his corners were almost all on the money. A HUGE improvement on Hateley in that respect.
  13. steel boy is a miserable tw@t. Always has been, always will be. When you cannot be content with a Motherwell side sitting 3rd and consistently over performing over the last few years - he never will be. Every now and then I agree with a small element of what he says, but it is so obvious he posts for effect
  14. I would not make that bet East Stand Al...... Call it a hunch...
  15. Well your email has you stating that he is in Sheffield right now talking to them. Be kind of sad if you made it up
  16. Absolute baws Bookies are going for Nigel Cough...
  17. For once I am inclined to agree with Steelboy. Call him foolish that he wants to go to Parkhead and follow his/our team. I on the otherhand admire their enthusiasm and willingness to go along to Parkhead. I gave up a long time ago... By all accounts we had a decent away following. He/They should go there confident in the belief the team will turn up and play as well as possible and with a confidence based on the last 4 or 5 results. The outcome sadly was the same as it inevitably always is. Even McCall was annoyed, but unsurprisingly it is his job to make sure they are in the right frame of mind. Celtic are a better team but they are/were allowed the space and time - get in their faces and show them from the off that the players are up for the battle. I was still bemused at picking Vigurs ahead of Lawson. Maybe that was a sign of our attacking intent. Sadly again he showed his ability to lose the ball in midfield and this time we were punished. I think the fans and even McCall are running out of patience. He has a lot of talent and can pick a pass and we know he can finish, but he wants all the time in the world on the ball. I hope he comes good, but the jury is out for me at least..
  18. Not great. Not unexpected. Aberdeen and ICT losing makes it a little less painful day. No ground lost on either and ICT might realise they are not Barcelona now....
  19. Wait till Vigurs melts one in from 30 yards... We have been waiting a wee while to be fair..thought Lawson would be a more obvious choice.
  20. Someone underestimated the demand
  21. I am assuming this is a clever ploy on behalf of the club. Each adult will surely only count for £12 - which means we would give less than if it was £20 per adult... Also it helps Aberdeen as you would now expect them to nearly fill the away end - giving them a very good and vocal following
  22. £12 for adults and £6 for a concession. Should ensure a healthy crowd from both sides. I have to say I am pleasantly surprised at the gate prices. Thought it would go no lower than £15. Well done Motherwell and Aberdeen FC
  23. Pressure is on now. Mon the Well. CONCENTRATE
  24. I am also a Vigurs fan. He is a good footballer and for the most part picks out good passes and his crossing from corners is generally solid. BUT He is very prone to lapses, is quite slow and concedes possession all too easily. No-one really covered themselves in glory for the United 2nd goal, but you could see Vigurs give up the chase which was very disappointing. He needs to do better or he may find himself dropped to the bench. I would start him v Ross County for no other reason than ex players have a habit of scoring against former teams..
  25. Whilst the designs are fine I firmly believe the quality to be 3rd rate. I know we do not sell in the 000`s of thousands like a Man U or Barcelona, but the Canterbury and Bukta tops were a lot smoother, silkier feel than the current tops. I have gone all Gok Wan, but it is true. That is why I have voted for a change.
