  1. I will be renewing mine before the end of the month. It would be nice for a few extra season ticket holders from games like Sunday and the upcoming Champions league and Euro games. But as stated many cannot afford it and for others circumstances such as work and family committments rule it out also. That said for those who decide not to renew because of a perceived injustice, then fine, I myself will not be happy if a newco Rangers get back into the SPl. That said I will be sitting at Fir Park every other Saturday while the nay sayers stew in their own anger and bile
  2. How about this scenario....Spartak Moscow in the Champions League and then draw CSKA Moscow in the Europa The top seeded teams in the Europa look tasty. Liverpool or Inter Milan anyone???
  3. Sadly he looks the most likely to leave, simply because we need to sell this summer and he would command (i hope) a decent fee. Spoke to our CExec last night in the Copper and she stated that the squad we ran this season means a forcast loss of several hundred 000, even factoring in finishing 3rd. Europe may give us a little slack, but it would explain (if the rumours are true) why out of contract players have been offered deals no better than they were on or even less.....
  4. I thought I saw something on Sky Sports news that Fenerbahce were kicked out of Champions League, because of allegations of match fixing???
  5. Good to see you are making the trip down to help celebrate a fantastic season. Tell you what I will even let you buy me a pint. Must be your round As for prices. £5 would be great BUT I think a £10 would be more realistic, so the club does not lose out financially and it is still half the normal price. Plus there are 3000 Season ticket holders who may feel hard done by. Not me by the way, but there are bound to be a few moaners
  6. As in there wont be a 3rd/Euro strip at all - or there will be a new strip, but one that has Claret and Amber as the colours???
  7. I have made this point all along. I would drop Sky in a heartbeat if they backed out of Scottish Football becuase Rangers were not in the SPL. We should be making louder noises along these lines. Someone responded to say that a few 000 subcriptions would make little difference. Well I pay £60 a month = £720 a year for Sky Sports and ESPN. Even 10,000 cancellations equates to approx £7m. Each 10,000 a similar figure. It would only take 15,000 cancelled Sky subs to offset the money they pay to the SPL.
  8. Each to their own David (since we are on christian names) I totally understand the sporting integrity viewpoint. Would Rangers vote to keep Motherwell or Kilmarnock in the SPL if the tables were turned. Would they heck. My fear is what happens to Motherwell FC and only Motherwell FC. I want to ensure we have a decent product on the pitch, have a half decent team to compete in Europe and keep staff and players in full time employment. All that would be at risk if Rangers leave the SPL. My ideal scenario is they stay in the SPL.......BUT........are given sanctions and penalties which ensure they have several years of pain. So the transfer embargo has to stay. The points deduction has to stay. A change to the voting structure away from 11-1 and a more equitable split of income from the 32% split between the top 2 clubs. IF and we will have to wait to see, Rangersr come in to the SPL with no sanctions, no points penalty, same voting structure etc etc then even I would think seriously about whether I take a season ticket out next year. I think all SPL Chariman know they (Rangers) have to pay a heavy price. All this fans backlash has hopefully made this crystal clear
  9. I see United are 1-0 up v the mhanks. Just as well we took care of business ourselves. Hope for a Celtic comeback as that may attract a few extra Arabs down if they needed points to finish 4th. Also read that Craggs is hanging up his boots, if this is the case, I very much hope we turn up in numbers to thank the team, manager and Craggs for his sterling service.
  10. A lot of drama queens on this thread.....Kmcalpin is spot on. Let us all penalise the club we support and love because of a bunch of cheating tax dodging bunch from Glasgow.
  11. Not sure I am with you... Fact is that the material for the away top feels inferior quality. You go into JJB and feel the quality of a Man U top or an Arsenal top and it IS a lot different. They are bigger clubs and sell 000 more tops, but the point I make is that would be fine if we paid £20 less for our tops, but they are still near enough £50. Don,t know if is all that Puma offer us or because the quality is is not top notch it is cheaper to produce......
  12. I will buy one as long as it is decent material. Have i said the away top is like a brillo pad £45.99 - should be like the Man U and Chelsea tops or any other team - SILKY SMOOTH
  13. I know we have another league game before this one. But under the circumstances I think we are allowed to look forward to what should be a party and celebration of what has been a fantastic season. As much as it would have been a great battle had it gone down to the last day. It is a blessed relief as my nerves would not have coped! Champions League  Not sure whether the club will cut the prices, but either way I would LOVE to see all those that would have come to the decider, come along anyhoo and celebrate. Quite frankly the players and Manager DESERVE a HUGE pat on the back for this season. Bring a pal, bring a relative, hell bring the wife Let's fill the old ground.
  14. When can I expect a full update with all the permutations - thanx
  15. Cannot say I noticed he was not interested last night. Did not pick up on him not celebrating either after the game. Did notice the subdued celebrations or lack of after the goals on Saturday. Bit strange right enough. Hope he is not a moody wee so and so, after all he was going no-where when we gave him a contract. Hope we do not have a Carlos Tevez on our hands Probably nowt in it
  16. Also big thanks to the bloke who handed out the complimentary tickets to me and a few compadres. Zero £'s to watch us (hopefully) qualify for the Champions league. I am away to bed with the memories of a great night to help me get off to the land of nod Och well I will just watch the higlights one more time
  17. If so I hope it is better quality material like the Canterbury tops and no the prison issue away top. It looks great and I like the silver/grey top, but even my old man who swithered over buying one tthis weekend, took one feel and decided against it. It has to be silky smooth and if it is I will buy one...........
  18. I was at Tynecastle the night we secured Champions League Football :yahoo: I know I am tempting fate but I cannot see how United can win all 3 games. That was as enjoyable a night as I have had in a wee while...... Well done Stuart McCall and the lads. Murphy is looking back to his best and whilst not pretty the desire was so so evident. Even big Higs was running around like a mad man. Sweet Dreams
  19. Terrific support from the young lads - it has been a real joy to go to away games this season. take a bow right enough :notworthy:
  20. I know the game is on a Tuesday evening..........I know the game is on Sky Sports 1........... But if you are swithering whether to go or not.................... I am (hoping) looking forward to saying "I was at Tynecastle the night we sealed Champion League football" Not many times will you be able to say that as a Motherwell Fan. Of course we probably need to win and then DDee U to not win v the Currant Buns. But IF that happens..........
  21. Probably could still offer more money even if they are in the 1st Division. McCall stated on MFCTV that players have been offered new deals on lesser terms/wages. A sign of the times perhaps, but can understand them considering other offers were that the case. His comments that Europe is not as lucrative as a Scottish Cup Final bear some closer inspection. Take last year for example we got to a Cup Final but finished 6th in the SPL. This year we may finish 3 places higher and get 2 home games in Europe. 3 places higher in the SPL = approx £240k extra and 2 home games in Europe, could be depending on opposition as much as combined crowd of say 17,000+ = gate recepits of say circa £300k. Reckon we could easily get 9000+ for Champions league. Add in extra revenue from UEFA of approx 260k Euros assuming we only get 2 rounds. That adds up to £740k. I would say that is no less than reaching the Cup Final....just my humble opinion mind
  22. Champions League may make Jennings think twice about leaving...here's hoping. In terms of saleable assets I would say in order: Hutchison - 75% off in summer for a decent fee Humphrey - 60% off if he maintains this form and in Europe - could strike lucky and get an inflated fee Murphy - 50% - Blackpool will not come back if they make the EPL Randolph - 40% - surprised he still here tbh, but there seems to be a glut of decent keepers around. Ojamma - 30% - if he bags a few more goals and starts well in Europe I reckon at least 2 or 3 from that list will be sold in the next transfer window.......
  23. TBH it would depend on who we get. I could be persuaded to go to Kiev to see us play Dynamo, but Shakhtar Donetsk holds litle appeal. Turkey - on the grounds that their fans are nutters (allegedly)
  24. Went to both Bucharest and Iceland (Breidlablik), so did not think either were unkind. If we get 3rd then I would travel to Portugal, Holland end even Moscow. But would think twice about Turkey and definite no no for the Ukraine.......Holland & Portugal would be my choices.... Still expect a twist or two to come. Unlike us United are well capable of picking up a win v either of the Old firm. If we take 3 points from Tynecastle then it will be over - cannot see them winning all 3. Without being pessimistic, we could well take 0 points from the next 2 fixtures and so a United win or 2 draws for them means they could come to Fir Park needing a win...... Hope it does not come to that, but it would not surprise me....
  25. As would I. Believe we tried to sign him before he opted for St Johnstone. Same site however has him under contract for another year until May 2013. So probably a load of Lillian Gish
