McCoist and Henry Smith, in equal measures!

We won't see Law at Fir Park again, unless he's playing for someone else. He'll be moving on as part of the administration process. Still give the fecker dogs though...

Was at that game too WP. Got very nasty walking down Gorgie Road after the match!Have to say for me though driving all the way up from Sheffield to Aberdeen to watch us knock the sheep out the cup in 91 was top notch, as was the drinking session that night in Embra..

Not only have we achieved a level of consistency that is up there with the best teams of yesteryear but under SMC we have produced 2 teams that are pleasing on the eye, play exciting football and have formed the type of camaraderie and loyalty that other teams can only envy. Not looking at this with rose tinted specs but when he took the job, I said SMC could build himself a reputation second to none, and I think bar a couple of blips he's done that. The fact that we've actually got into Europe on a yearly basis, should be remembered before we have a pop at our early exits at the hands of better and far wealthier teams....

I think it's the only time being a Well fan, that I actually thought "how many are we gonna win by this week?" Happy Days...

Think the biggest compliment I saw yesterday was a thread started on kickback where a lot of Jambos wanted SMC as their next manager.... Deluded fools...

In Neilsen, we've now got a keeper who at nearly 7ft doesn't come for crosses and doesn't boss the box or his defence. He has week wrists and hands which explains the lack of catches and the piss poor parries he makes. The 2 central boys clearly don't trust him or his judgement(see above jaunt into no mans land). A big lad like that should scare the living day lights out of everyone around him but he doesn't... Fair play, he made a couple of good stops yesterday, but for me his cons far outweight his pros. I hope SMC busts a gut to get Hollis operated on and Dan back on loan..

Hard going today... should have been well ahead at half time, and for whatever reason lost the plot in the second half. Thought big Hutch played v well, that aside thought we struggled in the second half against a team of keen youngsters. Collum is a disgrace, some of his decisions defied belief... All in all a great 3 points; special mention to the bois, brilliant toady sang all game even without the drum to begin with.

Tbf, spoke to 2 hertz season ticket holders yesterday and they have the fear about this game and can easily see the above scoreline tomorrow...

Yep, that's what I said..

I think as history proves unless we actually win a trophy, most hacks see us as a quirky wee diddy provincial club that has been punching way above our weight for the last 5/6 years. When we won in 91 the media as it was then was slavering about the family final and how good it was that fantastic event was played out without either of the ugly sisters being involved... However they soon went back to their Glasgowcentric drivel...I don't really care if we are the media's darlings, I don't even care if we're put on last every week on sportscene. While one ugly sister languishes in the lower leagues, the pundits/hacks will always look to the new firm(Pish expression) to garner favour from their perceived viewing audience. We will never be spoken about in the same favoured tones as the so called bigger clubs, but that's fine, I'd soon get bored of the adulation anyway...

Angle Park Terrace(start of Lanark Road) just along from the Athletic Arms. A Hertz pub but good beer and banter...

As was the Thistle game, but me,you and another 1500+ dossers turned up...

Tbf, there is a world of a difference between that Sevco mob and those young lads at swinecastle. They have had the stuffing kicked out off them, and Gary Locke is struggling to get them organised into a proper team. In their heads and in their hearts(excuse the pun) they're already down. I normally have a natter with Lockey when picking the kids up from school, but seeing his face in recent weeks, the poor bugger looks like a condemned man....So that said now is the time to go watch us hopefully hammer them...
-
Yer joking!!!! A very good chance of us giving the Jambos a proper skelping for the last time in a long time....Worth every penny!!!! In their own midden that is....

Gonna be in the Caley Sample Room prior to the match Andy if you're wanting a birthday drink off me.....

Hearts are a team of young boys who have a boat load of enthusiasm and not much else. Time and time again this season they have come up against seasoned pros and have got 2nd prize. Games that were must wins like St Mirren and Killie, they were out thought and outplayed. You would have expected them to raise their game for the Embra derby, but again the score flattered them. I can't see SM letting the team's focus drop after what happened with Albion Rovers. Can't see past a Well victory by at least 2/3 goals..

Have to say had his dad not been who he was I doubt if this thread would even exist. I personally thought he was an above average player who often frustrated folk but who also linked well with Humphrey. He earned his right to move on and I wish him all the best after he clearly made a bad choice listening to his pa and his buddy.

Have to say it's not very often you're stuck on who was tmotm. Thought Faddy played his best game in a Well shirt since his return, he was immense and seemed to bring out confidence in the lads around him, young Zane being the most noticeable one. Carswell played out of his skin at RB after a tricky first 10 minutes and gets my nod for his contribution. It was a brilliant display all round topped of by Stevie Mac's dragback and almost goal..... Happy days...

Think if we approach the game the same way as StMidden did then we shouldn't have any problems beating a very young Hearts team. As said above, youthful exuberance can only take them so far in a match, and by all accounts saints went about their job in a seasoned professional way and it was a game of men against boys. It was a real body blow for hertz as they are now well adrift; they don't have anyone in their dressing room to galvanise and motivate these young lads as they are short on experienced pros. Think we will win with big Sutty showing them what he can do when played when played properly.

My initial reaction to the draw was FECK, but the more I thought about it the more I reckon we'll turn the sheepshaggerz over. Yeah they played well at FP but most of our players didn't know their teammates names never mind anything else...We've made slow but steady progress and by the end of next month, I think young Ainsworth will be firing on all cylinders. Pound for pound we are a better team than they are. 3-2 to the Well...
-
3-1 to the Well. Fenlon's last game in charge....
-
Have to say all sense of excitement I had about Faddy re signing is all but gone now... I have been jumping back and forward on this thread for the last week and a bit instead of enjoying the free booze in Majorca.... Can only echo that if he signs brilliant, if he doesn't thanks for the recent memories and let's move on. The fact that the club haven't said anything more than smc's mutterings doesn't come as any surprise. I'm off to the pool!
-
Is our bet still on then?!!!!! And yes absolutely!!!! Good luck to the big lad I really hope he does himself proud!!!!

Yep, hopefully Scouse will kick on this season and mirror Hutchison's progress!
