  1. Spoke to the office today and we had sold a mind boggling 71 tickets..... Lass said the returned tickets will be available to by from the gates directly... Won't be a problem getting in for those who travel late.
  2. Do you hAve a twin on kerrydalestreet or are you infiltrating their ranks.....

  3. The starting point of any discussion between the 10 chairmen should be the allegation(for that's all it is at the moment) that Rangers quite blatantly cheated their way to title after title; in the process treating any rules and regulations laid down by the SFA/SPL with complete and utter disdain. As a direct result of those actions, the clubs and others no longer in the top flight were denied the chance of more success both financially and on the field of play.(Not even mentioning the tax cases) If, after due consideration, these club representatives allow Rangers, in whatever guise, to operate in the SPL, then our whole system is rotten to the core and not worth supporting. How could any club after that promote fair play, equality or honesty? It is clearly a tipping point in the history of Scottish football, and as some folk have mentioned before the eyes of the footballing world are firmly fixed(excuse pun) on our wee country and what happens over the next few weeks and months will have an effect that will last years. If a country/Football association so dogged with corruption as Italy, can mete out severe punishments to the likes of Fiorentina/Juventus, then there is clear opportunity for the powers that be, including the other clubs, to act decisively and for the larger benefit of Scottish football. I don't attend Fir Park as often as I would like, but as a Motherwell fan of 40+ years, I would not attend SPL matches where in the great scheme of things dishonestly on a grand scale is condoned or at the very least treated with the preverbial shrug of the shoulders..... Rant over.
  4. Never a truer word spoken in jest..... choice!!!
  5. The club have announced Steve Howarth has had his contract terminated early and has left the club.... slightly more funds for Ojamaa?
  6. I don't see any fee for Smurf being anywhere near £500k as he's had a very average season so far. I think it would be a great move for him and the club, so good luck to the lad.
  7. Barca don't have enough money in the bank for our Keef...........

    Ojamaa

True, but reading between the lines, it's quite clear that they think we're a far better( run) team than them... Gotta wonder what's going on in Broon's head when he signs Hughes on a 2 1/2 year deal.... I don't think there's any danger of Ojamaa going anywhere near Sheepsville... McCall should just show him a before and after video of Nick Blackman, that should do the trick..
  9. Can only echo comments posted above. A really decent man who had MFC coursing through his veins. Hopefully his commitment to the club will be recognised with some sort of memorial in the goodness of time. RIP Mr Dickie.

    Europe

And the fact that either he's shit at counting or he needs to go to specsavers...... 2000 fans in Nancy.... my arse.... Try 3000+ James!
  11. TBH, I think anything near that amount of cash for Humphrey would be fantastic. I have to agree that he will never be a proper footballer as long as he has a hole in his arse; by that I mean I have been to countless games and got frustrated by his lack of footballing savvy, when to run off the shoulder, when to come inside, when to take another touch before he crosses.... If we can recoup that sort of cash for a lad that is basically a sprinter with some footballing skill then happy days. When he is on song he is a joy to watch and I do believe that he more than alot of players relies heavily on confidence and when he doesnt have it, it really shows. He's certainly blown hot and cold this season, and in recent games Daley has been more of a threat than Humph. I wouldn't be too upset if he stayed and similarly I'd feel the same way if he went onto pastures new, with our best wishes.
  12. To be fair that was against 1st Division opposition and that season everyone was going to games wondering how many we were going to win by in each game.....
  13. Have to say that regardless of what you think of Ian wright/ Absolute Radio, they're giving aggrieved folk more of a chance to air their feelings than JimTraynor etc at Radio Weegie.... If I had got the treatment some of the lads got up in Sheepsville, I would get ripped into them... just my opinion mind...
  14. You DON'T know what he's done and neither does anyone else...... unless you've got an inside story that noone else has! And you're absolutely right there have been miscarriages of justice since the year dot, so what?! They're doing a job and he's implicated at this time, so let's see how it pans out before either hanging him or jumping to his defence.... As I said before MFC is who I support not a current employee...
  15. And what will be your thoughts if he is implicated? I'm supporting the team he plays for and the club he is employed by, not him. And it's very easy to point the finger at the police but they wouldn't have arrested him unless they has reasonable suspicion...
  16. He is NOT innocent, similarly he is NOT guilty!! No one on this thread knows what he is so please give it a bye. He has been arrested as part of an obviously in depth investigation by Merseyside Police and the GC. They would not have arrested him just because of coincidence as if it were coincidence they would have taken a witness statement from him. They clearly feel that from what digging they have done, he has some questions to answer. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to believe he's involved in anything underhand, but likewise I won't blindly plead his cause when I don't know the facts...
  17. If the investigation is being run by Merseyside Police, he will have been arrested and may well be taken down south to be interviewed if the offence is serious enough. And from experience, if it's taken a year to get to this point then they'll have something to put to him; it won't be a fishing exercise. And unlike some on here, I don't think it's a load of pish...
  18. I'm guessing that he's been arrested by or on behalf of Merseyside Police who kicked off the investigation, with no doubt other folk arrested elsewhere. They'll be looking at some form of conspiracy, so from that point of view it doesn't appear too good if they've got sufficient evidence to lock him up. As said before, he's innocent until proven guilty in a law court, but it all smells a bit off. I agree that this would explain his dip in form, if he/his brief knew this was coming down the line..
  19. Anybody know who else from the club is going on Monday?
  20. alot of brilliant moments for me, but strangely really proud to be a well fan the night we hammered Flamuntari. Even though they were a pub team from the back of beyond, it felt as if we were world beaters that night and played some of the most entertaining football I have seen in years... Oh and echoing what has been said before, the 81/82 1st div winning year; can't be bad when you're wondering how many you're gonna win by each week.... happy days!
  21. Sadly this is a fact of life..... The powers that be in most of the media can't see past the ugly sisters for news..... Don't let it worry you.... we're top of the league!
  22. Agreed. Our colours are recognisable throughout the UK; believe me as I lived in England for 20 years and if someone noticed your shirt you were one of two things a Well or a Bradford fan... And if you notice the club have still retained Ravenscraig on the badge even though that was bulldozered years ago. Would be quite apt to keep it if we eventually moved onto that site.
  23. Theft : dishonestly appropriate property belonging to another with a view to PERMANENTLY deprive the other of it. Looks like there was never any intention other than to return it sooo no theft. Sorry to get anal about it....
  24. Bad news this!!!! Good on Leann and the club for approaching it this way, just hope the person responsible, has sobered up, grabs the olive branch and returns it...
