I don't think its quite that bad. Yes, we're still overdrawn but are paying our debt off and the outstanding sum is reducing considerably. Plans are in place to repay the remainder of the outstanding sums.
My calculation is very rough and based on assumptions I know but I reckon we can now knock off about £430k from Les' debt after the transfer window and some £215k from John Boyle's debt. On top of that say we, the fans, raise £130k this year through donations etc and Les doubles that I think our outstanding debt would be something along the lines of:
Les: £870k
John Boyle £115k
Thats not bad progress with the prospect of more transfer income to come. I wonder how the split will work after JB has been paid off?
Some good fund raising ideas coming up and we really do need to maximise this in the next couple of months or so to take full advantage of Les' double your money offer.
An article on how Raith Rovers lost money on their Irn Bru Cup game aginst Brora Rangers. Although its not about us it perhaps explains why we, and other clubs, haven't made season tickets valid at cup games.

Just watched the TV highlights and our young lads gave Crusaders a run for their money. We played some decent fooball but seem to lack a cutting edge, given the chances we missed. Defensively we looked a bit shaky but our keeper did have a nightmare. Maybe a spell on loan at Clyde will help him.
This wouldn't surprise me. I have no objection to Celtic and Sevco joining English leagues, none whatosever, but don't leave their under 20s behind. If they leave they leave end of.
He didn't hold a gun to our head but he had an unrealistically high opinion of his own worth. A half decent right back; we've had better we've had worse.
Sounds like another bit of good business by our club. Hopefully we can now land the rumoured 2 replacements. Between Heneghan and Johnson, the club will have made a bit of dosh some of which can help pay off our debts to former owners.
I was quite impreesed by him although he's no world beater. I seem to recall he was a real worker with a competitive spirit and was able to play at full back as well.
As things stand, we need cover for the middle of our defence. If Heneghan goes, and we won't know until the window closes, then we'll need 2 more central defenders. McHugh must stay in central midfield.
Not much of a protest from Hearts players and thats always a good yardstick. However its possible that Jon Daly had instructed his troops to be respectful of the officials and not to question any of their decisions.
If any deal is done with Blackburn for Heneghan, don't expect them to make the transfer fee public. I've checked their first team squad and they certainly like "undisclosed" fees.
I believe it to be 25%; in this case of £2.5million. Does anyone know if we get a percentage of the next future sell on, if there is one, given that the total deal is reporterd to be £2.5 million + £500k in add ons?
Its very difficult for the club if players leave at the last minute but I assume we have targets lined up if some combination of Moult, Cadden and Heneghan leave.
