  1. I think thats about it Greg - not sure about Angol's position though.
  2. Quite a few security issues today eh? Prior to the match we drove into the almost full Knowetop School car park with ease. Despite what Police Scotland said beforehand we found no ticket cordon whatsoever. No steward at the car park entrance to check parking tickets. Quite a few Rangers fans in the wings of the POD Stand. Now I suspect from previous experience that many of these would be complimentaries but I might be wrong. In that case they were there legitimately. However fans should report any seat numbers occupied by interlopers to the club to prevent the same culprits acting in the same fashion again. Potential flare throwers should also be reported. One or two at the south end behaved themselves but others left acrimoniously amid a barrage of catcalls and boos. Our fans should not have invaded the pitch end of. They should certainly not have goaded the South Stand. The Police were far too slow to react to the events. That said, the Rangers fans pelted our fans with cans and even a ripped out seat - no Police reaction to that. Quite a few Rangers fans were also involved in nasty exchanges with stewards and the Hospitality boxes in the South Stand after the game ended. Again the Police were nowhere to be seen.
  3. Fantastic result today and over the piece we were worthy 6-1 winners. As expected Rangers relied on the long high ball and initially we allowed them far too much leeway to sling crosses into the box. Once we scored the first goal though the outcome was never in doubt. A huge result for us. So credit is due to Ian Baraclough and the players - a real team performance. Probably Lasley, Pearson Johnson and McManus were the pick of the bunch. We got our tactics just about spot on. A very emotional day in many ways for so many but my overriding emotion is one of relief.

    Baraclough Out

Certainly Ian Baraclough has produced the goods in the Play off Final. It'll be interesting, now that we've secured our top table place, how he reshapes the squad. A substantial rebuilding job is necessary.
  5. Maybe you're right. I do know that the Police have the final say on ticket office opening hours though. Almost everything that goes on today in and around Fir Park will be under the control of Police Scotland - don't know about the match itself though!
  6. Absolutely Andy. We need to pressurise the referee and officials at every available opportunity whether it be stealing 10 metres at a throw in, hefty tackle on one of our lads, dives or penalty claim. This does work - you don't get penalties at Tannadice very often and Arabs are among the most moaning fans there are.
  7. Sounds like the club has twisted the arm of Police Scotland to allow a time extension. IF we win through today the Police should order the gates of our stands to be closed for 20 minutes after the game finishes to allow the away end to empty and home fans to celebrate.
  8. Agree in principle Graham but are we fitter in the last 15/20 minutes?
  9. The same issue that Dodge raised. I'm a bit puzzled though. Isn't this the case at other grounds though - Tannadice, McDiarmid Park, Dens Park, Dingwall, Inverness? In the past both sets of supporters have used Fir Park Street to gain access to our ground and shared toilets and kiosks. So whats the problem? Credit to the club for pursuing this.
  10. Absolutely. A lot of bodies stand to lose out financially if Rangers don't get promotion - we must take nothing for granted.
  11. We need to cool it. The job is only half done. Yes we're in control but a lot could yet go wrong. Its crucial that we don't lose an early goal on Sunday. Given their recent games I expected Rangers to tire badly tonight but they didn't and in fact finished the stronger side. The tie isn't over yet. I've supported the Well far too long to take things for granted.
  12. Great result tonight and beforehand I'd have been very happy to take a 2 goal advantage back to Fir Park.
  13. As will the other 11 Premiership clubs. Their fans however are a different story. Local Dundee fan however said he was solidly behind us.
  14. Not the news I was hoping for. Although we can only do it bit by bit, our back line needs a massive overhaul, and that involves the full backs. Josh Law is an honest trier but he's not the level we require.
  15. I understand that Dodge but we have had to share the same kiosks and toilets. Whats so special about segregated turnstiles?
  16. If writing an article like this surely it would have been easy and more legitimate to check with MFC rather than rely on third party comments about our club's position. Poor journalism.
  17. Absolutely. Only thing I would add is that the Record thinks that its customary support for the OF will help to bolster sales.
  18. Don't know about that. Faddy was finished, sadly, when he left us and Clarkson would not have solved our massive weaknesses in defence and midfield.
  19. Excellent point. Folks are forgetting or ignoring the fact that the club has not weeks or months to prepare for this game. As far as the away game is concerned its about 5 days maximum. Thats not taking into account negotiating time with Ibrox. Under such circumstances its very difficult to come up with watertight arrangements. Give the club a break.
  20. The amount of gate money the club will lose by not giving Rangers the entire South Stand is about £10,500 MAX. Probably much less if we take into account costs. A drop in the ocean compared to £1 million.
  21. Good post overall but I don't know that Barra does play 4-4-2. More often than not Sutton or Erwin plays up front with MacDonald or Moore playing between them and the midfield. That formation just doesn't suit Moore or MacDonald.
  22. An old old story. Been there, done it and got the T shirt.
  23. I doubt it. If they're like most folk these days all that matters is money and lots of it. A hefty bonus might do the trick.
  24. If thats the case then what do we do? There are two other options A) do nothing and hope for the best or B) Seek a new buyer. To date there hasn't been any genuine interest shown by a private investor. In my view we have to make a clear choice.
