There might be a lot of road works around Hampden just now I don't know, but we were given the same route for the CIS Cup semi against Celtic a few years ago and it was tortuous then.
-
22 Official MFC buses. There will be more Supporters' Association buses and unofficial ones too.
-
I think we can give up on Jenno to be honest Steve. The rumour mill says he's off. No point in wasting time and effort on a player who has seemingly no intention of staying.

X 2 Now is not the time for distractions.

Depending on precisely what was said I don't have a problem with that. If someone goes up to another and whsipers in their ear - "You're a bloody hypocrite" I wouldn't say that warranted a ban. Likewise it s very unusual for someone to be charged with breach of thre peace if they walk up to another person and whisper to them "You're a bloody liar " or some such similar insult. However its relatively common for someone to be charged after planking someone. Remember the Maurice Malpas / Jim Jeffries encounter at Rugby Park a few years ago? JJ referred, rather loudly to our lads as ****** cheats, and MM had to be restrained. I don't recall JJ being hauled over the coals by the SFA for that.

The problem is Andy there is a rush. Clubs have to make arrange, ments for hospitality, policing and the likes. How can MFC sell hospitality packages if we don't know who were playing and when?
-
My immediate reaction too. Maybe they were both injured? Maybe they're both different types of midfielders. If neither that must mean he's rated as being a better prospect. Both Meechan and Pollock may make the grade and I sincerely hope they do but neither has shown anything special in their admittledly limited appearances so far.

I'm sure we also receive a proportion of the catering and programme sales from our semi only.

Last time we played St Johnstone in a semi, i think, was in the League Cup in 1970. Result St Johnstone 2 0 Well. Let that be a warning. There's no reason for us to feel pessimistic but there's no place for overconfidence either.

SM has done very well since he took over. When he came in the club was in the doldrums after Brown and Knox left us in the lurch. He's instilled some team spirit once again and steered the side to success on the park (by our standards). Well done to him and Kenny Black.
-
Surely thats not allowed under SPL rules? I was always under the impression that clubs could charge away fans more only if the facilities were of a higher standard? In this case I don't think they are.
-
Really? If true thats a bit odd to say the least. So its of concern to the Police if you whisper something in someone's ear that they take exception to but its not of concern to them if you grab and manhandle someone in an aggressive manner. Probably says more about the Police than the folk involved.

X2 I'm looking forward to celebrating as much as the next fan but only IF we win. We have to do the business first. Just learn a lesson from Arabs fans who had to cancel buses for the final after we knocked them out last week.

Yes, but to be fair all Hibs youngsters are amazing prospects.

A very valuable win last night that we probably just deserved. Still Stuart McCall deserves a lot of credit for getting it right once again. The players deserve a lot of credit too for digging deep when many were tired and / or carrying injuries. For me, Shaun Hutchison and Darren Randolph were the pick of the bunch. The highlight for me was Jamie Murphy's goal it it was good to see Chris Humphrey score again - convinced at the time it was going out for a corner! Not a great game football wise and David Robertson, Severin, Gomis, Goodwillie and Conway can all consider themselves fortunate not to be booked. Another typically physical display from United. We dug in an had to cling on desperately for the last 20 minutes or so. With legs tiring I thought we may have seen Jones, McHugh and Page come on a wee bit earlier to ease the pressure on a very deep defence. Still the result now gives us a good chance of a top six slot.

Welcome aboard!
-
Not really - force of habit I suppose. Maybe ease of access from bus/car parking too. A few of us prefer to sit on the halfway line but we could also do that in the South Stand.

Yes, new members are always welcome.

Thats obvious and goes without saying. However John Boyle clearly did say something that wasn't palatable to Craig Brown and we'll probably never know exactly what was said or how it was said. JB shouldn't have got involved in front of the cameras - I quite accept that. Feelings were obviously running high and despite what Craig Brown said many of us were partly responsible for this by winding him up during the game. But, football is a passionate game. In an altercation like this its not just what was said and how it was said thats a factor but also the character and mood of the party about whom the comment was made. JB may have been insulting, may have been abusive or he may not. However because Craig Brown reacted aggressively doesn't necessarily mean that he was insulted. If some people are wound up then a simple comment like "You owe me money" or "I want a word with you" might be sufficient to light the blue touch paper. What is clearer now than its ever been is that Craig Brown is skilled in manipulating the media.
-
You fall into the same perceived trap as those you criticise. How do you know John Boyle "insulted" Craig Brown? Is it possible that JB simply said something that CB didn't like? How do you know what was said? Did John Boyle run away? As far as I can see from the video footage, he turned and walked off and just about had his jacket ripped off his back. For someone who promised not to comment further, Craig Brown has said quite a lot since the incident.
-
My thoughts exactly. Very well put. I suspect that money ie his salary as opposed to the playing budget, was a continuous issue for him whilst at Fir Park despite saying that he wasn't in it for the cash. He really has a brass neck given the way that he left. If true about Gordon Young he has used him and put him in a very awkward position.
-
We have to go out and do the business ourselves but every single point will count. That said, your assessment is pretty reasonable I'd say.
-
We know what Craig Brown did and has subsequently said but don't know what JB said - best to reserve judgement on him until we know...if we ever do.
-
It wasn't the push I was concerned about, Tweed. As Hutch reached the touch line he was either deliberately tripped or more likely McGuire lashed out at him with his boot - thats how it appeared to me.
-
We should learn from the Dundee United supports' mistakes - late last week buses in Tayside, Angus and Fife being cancelled wholesale for Cup Final day! Thats overconfidence for you.
