  1. Todays other SPL game has been called off on advice of the police. Pitch was fine.
  2. Just seen the up to date weather forecast for tonight, doesnt look clever at all.
  3. Watched it for the first time in years today and if anything it is worse than it used to be. Each to their own and all that.
  4. Didnae see uses name on the list ............ has he been drafted in as cover?
  5. Obviously the criteria has nosedived since 2004 then
  6. Is that crap still getting airtime on a Saturday morning? Should have been binned around the millenium. Enjoy yer day.
  7. The big fella had a running battle with Levein and MacPherson when he played up here, it all started when he broke MacPhersons nose and carried on for the duration of his stay up here. It came to a head when Cusack got sent off at Fir Park and Levein applauded him off, that is how I remember it, if Im forgetting something then someone will put me right.
  8. The ills of the game are not all down to money. Scottish football went for the best part of a century without a TV deal and folk actually came out in droves to watch it. Since the big TV money came in we have not produced one world class player, ask most 'experts' and they will tell you that Souness was the last one in a long line. We have to get back to the grass roots in all aspects of the game, the quicker the people running our game get their collective heads out of the sand and actually do something about it the better.
  9. The SPL is guff pure and simple. Sure the Meedjia will try and dress it up otherwise, but the majority of those who attend will probably admit that they do not get value for money. Something REALLY radical will have to be done soon if the game in this country is to get back anywhere near where it was a couple of decades ago. Back then even non OF teams got to European finals and on the odd occasion actually won. My suggestions.....(it will never happen but it should), get back to basics, get rid of the live TV at the end of the current one and get back to highlights only on a Saturday night. 3pm kick offs on a Saturday. Parent and child gates. Realistic pricing in respect of the fare on offer. Salary capping to an agreed percentage of a clubs turnover.
  10. For all you stattos out there http://tiny.cc/su5vu
  11. http://atdhe.net/22747/watch-ob-odense-vs-motherwell about 10 secs in front of iraqigoals
  12. Except for viewers in England, who can watch highlights on SPL2 after the ten o'clock news. If you don't want to know the score, look away now!!
  13. BAA Unite members have voted in favour of Industrial Action. One of the dates that was being touted around this morning was Aug 19th. BAA run Glasgow and Edinburgh airports. They were saying earlier that airports cannot operate without security/firefighters etc. I know the majority will be going over before the day of the match, but (and it is a but!!), if the action takes place next Thursday you can be sure that there will be a knock on effect on the Friday with aircraft out of position etc. Not trying to scaremonger here just a wee heads up thats all. DSMIJTM.
  14. You can blame them for a lot of things but not this one, try ESPN
  15. Most Travel Agents cannot magic up aircraft at a couple of days notice and get suitable departure/arrival slots at airports. I can see where people are coming from but the club are providing an optional service to fans. The charter will fly regardless of how many fans are onboard.
  16. You are paying for someone else to do all the work on your behalf, ie organising flights, hotels, transfers etc. The Scotland trips with Passport Travel are the same. If you cannot afford two/three days off work then you pay the extra to leave house to airport fly have one night, match then fly home straight away. The Katowice charter was probably about the same cost in 1991 terms. If you want to have a few days away then pay the lower rate, if you want a quick and everything organised for you trip then pay the extra and go via the charter. No use in having a pop at the club.

  18. You are Bert Kassies and I claim my tenner
  19. No sh1t Sherlock How many of the Nancy side did you know when the draw was made? Three of the OB squad are well known names in British football for starters.
  20. Remember when we got Nancy when they were the 'ideal' draw? Not trying to put a dampener on things or anything
  21. They are drawing the two clubs then putting the two of them into another bowl to decide home and away legs
