  1. Cannot really see why any non season ticket would have the incentive in throwing away £18 to watch what are for Motherwell glorified friendlies. The price is too high at the best of times. If I want to see 22 amateurs booting high balls up and down a ploughed field then I would go along to King George V on a Saturday, no hang on, am doing KGV a disservice there, its in a far better nick than FP. FWIW I will be there because Im a ST holder, if I wasnt I would be seriously questioning my attendance .
  2. All three diddy six games on 23rd May kick off at 12.30
  3. Yes, based on yesterday they could relegate us
  4. Mixu is right saying all the pressure is on Motherwell, it is at the moment, and come half two on Saturday if the day has gone pear shaped already then all that pressure will have taken its toll. However, if we have beaten St Mirren then all that aforementioned pressure will be winging its way eastwards to fester for 24 hours. Here's hoping

    Dundee Utd

Anyone who reckons that it was not a penalty to United should note that there is a sale on in Optical Express, rumour has it you can trade in you old Claret and Amber tinted shades
  8. You should have come up with that one in 1991. Ps this is Motherwell we are talking about.
  9. Pitch is going to be in great nick for that game
  10. If my memory serves me right the official crowd was given at 26 thousand odd, and people at the time said that the 'real' crowd that day was nudging 30 thousand. St Mirren brought a huge support that day, it wouldnt be far off the mark to say that the crowd that day was split 50/50, it was by far the biggest away support (outwith the old firm before live TV) that I can remember in FP. Younger folk on here might scorn at such a thought but it did happen. I know cos I was there, as a chap famous around the time of the match once said.
  11. Biggest attendance at FP that I can remember being a part of. The day 'The Unholy Trinity' put Fergies troops in their place within the first couple of mins.
  12. Friday and Saturday look horrendous - max temp Sat -3 http://tinyurl.com/cshuol
  13. Think you will find that in the three games you mention there was a common theme running through the shite....it was called Motherwell. In fact Dundee and St Johnstone were much better than us on the nights that we played them. Inverness was just one of those days when we could have played all day and not scored IIRC.
  14. Pity the snow from earlier on this week didn't hang about. Back in the good old days it was the best pitch protection going, keeping the frost out of the ground, then everyone went down to FP early on matchday and took it all off, maybe getting a free pie into the bargain!! Players then stuck on the adidas trainers and away they went. The game's gone soft these days.
  15. Wonder if the Daily Record will have a back page picture of Pearson in a Motherwell shirt tomorrow morning
  16. So you are 59 next month as well
  17. Loads of copies on eBay. Just type Peter Marinello into the search box
  18. An absolutely brilliant read. He was a 'talent'
  19. He played for MYPA47 against us in the Eufa Cup.
  20. Airdrie v Stranraer 1963 postponed 33 times. Inverness Thistle v Falkirk 1979 postponed 29 times. Inverurie Locos v Motherwell 2009 postponed 3 times - a wee bit to go yet!!
  21. Been on loads of times before over the last few years. Is this a new series or just a repeat run?
  22. There is a difference between flippancy and realism. In the past bus companies were always helpful when it came to postponments, if you are repeatedly getting charged for hires that are cancelled more than 24 hours in advance then you should be looking at getting a new bus company to take you to away matches. I appreciate the frustration mate and was not having a go at anyone/anybody. Who knows how long this will go on.
  23. So much for the romance of the cup eh? Those folk moaning about a couple of postponments should get a grip, this is the biggest match in Locos history, all the stuff about getting the match moved is nonsense. Airdrie v Stranraer 1963 postponed 33 times. Inverness Thistle v Falkirk 1979 postponed 29 times.
