I'm sure Motherwell in fact every club could survive on no TV money we would need to make a lot of sacrifices on wages by off loading everyone and significantly reduce our wage bill.
The idea of there no being any football without TV is utter tripe and it the chasing for money and TV deals instead of addressing the pricing issues and quality of the game is what will kill our game.
What about accepting low offers but have loads of addons e.g 20% sell on clause, £xxxx when they 1st get called up for their National team , £xxxx when they make x appearances. We would get a low initial offering but if works out we could reap the rewards in the future.
I know us selling a player to an English club who would get called up to International duties and get a move for silly money would be unlikely just a thought.
I honestly can't believe another McCall out thread has been made. MJC you say Mark Mcghee was the better manager I can agree to an extent on football style as I thought it was fantastic to watch at times.
But did he get us to a Cup Final and Semi Final without John Boyle loosening his purse strings? McGhee did get us 3rd but we finished in the bottom six in his second season. However McCall got us 3rd last season and we are in the mix of doing the same this season with a weaker side than 5 years ago.
I can't comment on much of this season as I have only been to one game but you have to give McCall credit for what he has done under difficult circumstances e.g. smaller wage bill
There's always someone who needs to be blamed at Motherwell
