  1. My birthday too....so get yer mortgage on it as well
  2. I was there and I was 16.....2nd win outa 2 games that season at Swinecastle, but we didny relegate them, we stopped them bein promoted with us...almost as good
  3. Just got myself registered on the 5.15 sessions too. Sounds like a good idea, wee bit of motivation for a fat lazy b'stard like me, and once I start to see and feel the benefits might even commit to a gym membership for the first time in 10 years. You think they will fit us wi a tag which sets off an alarm every time we go near the Pie Stalls??
  4. Agreed Bezzer, just that wee 5 - 10% made the difference. Also remember that at no point tonight did they HAVE to score. Would have been interesting to see their reaction however if they had, as they got 2 sent off while under no real pressure, so I suspect they might have folded. Makes it even more frustrating. Ach well, there's always someone worse off than yourself, and no doubt we'll remind them of that fact on Sunday
  5. Eh??? The reason he was a lone figure was that they quickly sussed that he posed no danger. If he crossed a decent ball all night I must have missed it. Every single cross was overhit. Sure he has pace, but on that basis maybe we should sign Usain Bolt, as his crossing can't be any worse than Humphrey's. And I'm not being negative, I'll accept it was one of those nights where we could and should have won, can't fault any of the lads for effort or commitment, but Jacn and Victor simply HAVE to work on the boy's crossing, if he devlops that ability, he will be one helluva player
  6. Danish League team winning away in Portugal shows the standard. Thought his logic was fairly obvious
  7. Being one of them, I couldn't agree more! That was a wife and 3 kids ago though, got other ways of spending all my spare cash these days!
  8. None of them were 'Non-League'. Rubio came from the Portuguese 1st Division, Quino from the Spanish 2nd Division, and Fernandez was with Deportivo La Coruna before Airdrie, albeit on loan to a 2nd Division club.
  9. Completely forgot about Bobby Watson (November 1983 - April/May 1984). Anyone got exact dates, as this could be a close run thing between him and Gannon.
  10. Excluding caretakers al guess at Roger Hynd.....tho Jim Gannon must be in the running
  11. Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  12. Yessssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John Sutton
  13. As someone who shares your unfortunate birthdate, and also works for a 'National' (London-centric) company, I feel your pain brother However, Champions League would mean we had achieved something NO OTHER Scottish club had ever achieved, and I have more day to day contact with bigots than I do with people from Englandshire, so it has to be the Well for me. Close decision tho
  14. TC is indeed the only serving Motherwell player to play in a World Cup finals. Obvious ex Well player is Gary Mac. Don't think Brian McClair ever played at a World Cup, so can't be too many others.
  15. Craig Burley in 'talking sense' shocker!!!! Said Las and Jennings been outstanding, closely followed bu Hateley and O'Brien
  16. Keef for me had his best game in ages (albeit he's no played that many recently). No many failures against a very poor St Midden side, although I thought J O'B was poor, not sure he managed to beat a man all day
  17. From what I hear he hasn't sorted himself out. Still physically incapable of playing a full game.
  18. Same one for me...was only 10 at the time, and was inconsolable all the way home. Closely followed by the Airdrie replay the previous season. Those 2 games in particular are why winning the 1991 semi final ranks as my best ever moment
  19. It would have been Ross Jack, his case was the next one to come up, in a dispute with Airdrie
  20. FFS....am third fae the left, back row And ma young brother is 2nd left
