  1. Really? And you think that someone posting "Bumped. Another defeat" isn't stupid? I'm not saying that there shouldn't be negative opinions on McCall, and there has been a good few in this thread, but they at least have to come with some sort of reasonable argument. Simply bumping the thread whenever we lose a game (and it's the same people who keep doing it) without an intelligent reason why only serves to start abusive posts and other childish behaviour, which isn't on.
  2. Allow me to be the first to say thus far that I'll be buying a new season ticket! My work arrangements have changed, so it's worth my while now!
  3. McCall needs one complete season in charge as far as I'm concerned, so I'd give him until the end of next season. The simple truth of the matter is we haven't been better than enough teams to warrant a top six placing. I don't think we deserve a top six placing this season. I also don't think that a club like Motherwell should automatically assume that a top six finish is our right every season either. We've been spoiled somewhat by the last few seasons when we've qualified for Europe. We've got a decent cup run this season (and it's not over yet), and a chance of finishing in the top six. All of that is still possible despite our management team leaving us in the lurch halfway through the campaign, and a new management team trying to get a handle on things having arrived right before the window opened in January, resulting in us losing both Reynolds and Blackman, both of whom were key players in the first half of the season. To say it's been a season of roadbumps is an understatement, and even without a top six finish I'll still be able to look back at our cup and European run as a highlight. Hopefully next season will be more calm as far as backroom staff goes.
  4. Point taken. The next time this thread gets bumped try to have something worth posting, otherwise it's getting binned. Simply saying "Bumped. Another defeat" or suchlike isn't on.
  5. If we want to try an entice children to support Motherwell instead of the Old Firm we really should be letting a number of under 16's in for free every home game. Those seats just sit empty otherwise.
  6. The only way such a boycott would work would be if the majority of fans from all SPL clubs took part. A weekend with no fans at any games would draw the attention of the media, that's for sure.

Aye, I think this chat has run it's course, and is in danger of heading completely off-topic altogether.
  8. I'd price it at £10 per adult skull, and let children in for free.
  9. I doubt it would have to be honest. If anyone was seriously considering going to the game they would have done. It was a nice little money earner for the club though. A lot of the fans who attended would most likely have sat at home and watched it otherwise.
  10. I certainly wouldn't fancy hauling my arse all the way into Edinburgh, that's for sure.
  11. Did anyone else from the board attend this? I did, and thought it was an excellent day out. The place was pretty full and there was a good atmosphere. The free pies went down a treat as well.
  12. Hopefully that'll see Lennons ban run longer
  13. Get your backside down to Fir Park for the cup game.
  14. Rotten patter from United fans. A few of them fell for it as well. Would have thought the 5:15am kick-off time would have given it away
  15. This looks like an excellent event, so hopefully the game tomorrow will go ahead as planned. Kudos to the club for organising it.
  16. If I told you I'd have to kill you.
  17. Either that or he's got a big shiny heid because he's old and losing his hair, thus suggesting that his insult aimed at the Well boys is nothing more than a tearful swipe at those who are younger and sport more hair
  18. You can bet that he's not getting paid a pittance every week, that's for sure. Once the summer window opens we'll be able to get two players for the wages he's getting, and those players may even be fit enough to play.
  19. I see no reason why we shouldn't still have Sutton next season, as he's already indicated that he's keen to stay. I also think Jennings will be off in the summer, probably Championship-bound, and I think Craigan will sign a new deal to stay at the club. Jeffers can do whatever the fuck he wants as far as I'm concerned, as long as it doesn't involve Motherwell.
