I agree. If they were looking to return, albeit on loan, to Fir Park, it would be incredibly foolish to allow something as petty as the reasons mentioned to get in the way.

There's a better chance of us getting there than there was last season, that's for sure. Let's hope we get a glamour game if we do.

Regardless of the result next Thursday Bliki, I hope we can count on you becoming our honorary Icelandic Motherwell fan! Even though young Murphy looked a bit off the pace, I think it's clear to see that he's a special kind of player. I'm glad he's signed a contract extension, as he'll only get better with time.

That game tonight highlighted the need for a decent striker. The amount of chances we squandered was criminal.

Has to be Lasley as far as i'm concerned. He was available for the ball virtually every time, and covered every blade of grass.

A decent performance considering we haven't played any real football yet. Both Reynolds, and Lasley in particular were excellent. I don't think there was a blade of grass that Lasley didn't cover tonight. The official attendance was billed at just under 6,000, which isn't bad considering it's a pissy Thursday evening in July.

I wouldn't put much into the fact that around 4,000 tickets have been shifted thus far, as there will likely be a good amount of late buyers this week. We'll get a decent turnout I reckon, and a decent result. I'll go for 3-1.
