Although i'm doubtful we could raise the £250,000 needed to buy him, i'd say it would be money well spent. Hopefully if we are looking to do anything further, such as extend his loan or even buy him, we do it before he gets the chance to impress anyone too much and start attracting interest.
  2. Does it cost you anything to receive the updates to your phone? I doubt i'll be posting anything up to it, but was mainly wanting to get the updates and stuff from the people i'm following.

    Supporters Trust?

Like many, I don't have any experience in such matters, but if the changes take place in personnel that are being discussed here, i'd certainly be willing to help out in any way I can. I think you're underestimating the worth of this forum Gaag. It's a place thats easily accessible, and gives us all a forum in which to pose our questions & ideas. Until I started posting here, I really had no idea what the Trust did or what it was all about. I've had questions answered, and read information on here that would prove invaluable to any prospective members.

    Supporters Trust?

I'm happy for anyone with a passion for the club standing for the position. Such a move, and some more communication from the Trust would certainly entice me to become a member and more actively involved. I wouldn't have said that a few weeks ago.

Thats good news Frazzle. Any word on who's stepped up to stand against Rose?

How does it all work then? Do you need 5 actual Trust members to go along to the meeting?
  7. I've had a quick look but can't seem to find anything on their site. Has anyone here got twitter on their mobile? If so, anyone on T-Mobile?
  8. If Slane fancies a move to Celtic, and they are actually interested in signing him, you couldn't blame him for giving it a bash. Imagine if one of us was a young lad playing for Morton or the like, getting good reviews and a pretty good chance of making the 1st team on a regular basis. Then you hear that Motherwell are interested. First team football won't be on the agenda in the short-term, but long-term.... Would you knock back an opportunity that may not reappear?

    Supporters Trust?

I think more emphasis has to be put on making the paying members feel appreciated. Like some people have mentioned, they haven't recieved as much as a sign of notification that they have joined, never mind something along the lines of a "thanks, we appreciate your support".

So, the question still remains. What would you do differently? Let's hear some ideas.
  11. How does this twitter carry-on work then? Does it cost money to get the updates via mobile?

    Supporters Trust?

Yeah, I know that, i'm just saying that any kind of new "movement" that was born from discussion here would need the input of veteran posters, and people "in the know", so to speak.

Interesting. They obviously know how useful a forum such as this could be for reaching members/possible members then.

    Supporters Trust?

I imagine that using this forum as one way of keeping communication with the fans would be a major plus for any new trust type idea. Especially considering the amount of posts there's been regarding the current trusts lack of communications with paying members.

As would I. However, with me not being a veteran poster here, or involved with the previous trust in any way, i'd be reluctant to take a major hand in things. Would do whatever I could though.

    Supporters Trust?

The question that can be asked at this early point then would be "who would be willing to help out, and in what capacity?". Just for the sake of this discussion, let's imagine that the current trust folds tomorrow. Who would be willing to step forward, on any level? I'm not talking about taking control, or running things, i'm simply asking what kind of time and resources would anyone have that they would be willing to put into a new venture to begin with?

    Supporters Trust?

Before I post anything here, i'll admit that i'm more of a reader than a poster on here, but I have been keeping up with this thread with interest. I think the question really has to be the commitment levels of the people currently running the trust. If they aren't as interested in running it, then maybe it's time to clear out and bring in some new faces altogether? A question i'd like to pose to some of the forum members who are more "in the know" than I am is what can & should be done to get the trust back on track? Let's say, for talkings sake, that the current board completely clear out, and an entirely new lot of faces were brought in. What would you do, or like to see done, to improve things?
  18. I've just noticed that there's a service called "footymad" that's advertised on Fir Park Corner, £3 per month apparently.
  19. Thanks for that Gaag, I appreciate it.
  20. I was going to start a thread to ask a question, but thought that maybe a thread like this would be a good idea, providing somewhere for people to ask general questions about the club that maybe forum members can answer. Will perhaps save there being a new thread for every question/comment. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of a Motherwell results texting service? I thought I saw something like this being advertised a season or so ago, but can't seem to find anything now. I'm just looking for something that sends out goal alerts, half-time, full-time results and the like.
  21. I'm not sure if anyone knows for sure, but are attendance figures higher from August through October? Paying £18-£20 to sit for 90 minutes in the freezing cold in January doesn't really appeal to me. Maybe the much touted idea of summer football should be seriously considered? I'm not sure how it would work during national tournament years though.
  22. The problem is, whenever the club have reduced prices it has only been for a single game. It's no good doing that in my opinion. They should be looking to bring prices down on a consistent basis as that is the only way that such an idea will work. It takes longer than one week for word to get out that football is cheaper to go to.
  23. Couldn't agree more. It may not be worth much to the OF, what with them rubbing shoulders with Europes finest every 2nd Wednesday or so, but it's still the league cup to me. I certainly wouldn't knock back a good run in it.
