  1. I don't think he's any better than Mugabi who people were happy to see the back of decrying him as 'not good enough' or more often 'shite'. I think you could easily put together a 'highlight reel' of goals that Casey has cost us that would more than match one for Mugabi. By the way, I'm not saying Mugabi was good enough, it's just an indictment of where we are that I reckon he walks into our first team right now despite his limitations...
  2. Anyone complaining about baseless speculation, this is a football forum. Without baseless speculation, these places would die out.. To the general point, if Wimmer oversaw a relegation, he should be gone. I keep hearing about the mess he inherited and it's true he didn't inherit the best squad in the league but he could and should be getting more out of it. For what it's worth, I reckon we will probably stay up but it could be tighter than we'd like. But like @Lobey_Dosser I just have a feeling Wimmer will be gone by Halloween. Just my gut tells me that he'll do like Baraclough and Kampman. Come in with the mission of keeping us up, just about do so, bring in his own squad in the summer but be gone before bonfire night. And as I say, it's just my opinion. And without differing opinions, you're as well closing the forum down...
  3. I think it could easily go sour and he could be sacked. If it can happen to a club legend like Hammell, then why not?
  4. Not suggesting it will be his choice to be gone by then. It wasn't Kampman or Baraclough's choice to be gone by then either...
  5. Nope, Wimmer will have to take a share of the blame as well. Is it a poor squad he inherited? Yep. But there are a fair few poor squads in this league (we were beaten by one yesterday) so getting a couple of results shouldn't be beyond any coach that belongs at this level. His persevering with a shape that's not working, with a keeper that can't catch a cold and with playing our best player out of position is fuck all to do with Kettlewell...
  6. This, 100% this. I have the feeling that Wimmer will do what Kampman and Baraclough did. Somehow keep us up, bring in his own players and be gone by Halloween...
  7. My concern with Maswanhise is the fact that even after several months training, he doesn't have the fitness to last 90 minutes. It was understandable at the outset given he'd been without a club, but not now...
  8. Brian Welsh and not with his head is my recollection...
  9. Glad that Miller hasn't been part of this disaster...
  10. I think that this kind of makes wellgirl's point about O'Donnell receiving a disproportionate amount of stick. Casey, for me, is responsible for just as many opposition goals and he seems to get an easier ride than O'Donnell from fans...
  11. To be fair, he's been called worse. At the Celtic game, one of our lot said he "liked the look of the big hobo". And today I messaged my bluenose brother that I couldn't believe that they let a Metallica roadie score into them...
  12. I put my headphones in, stuck my music on and walked to up to shop to lift cash around the same time. Glad it's not just me resorting to such tactics...
  13. What can I say? I hate it when the defence is too deep...
