  1. I think it could easily go sour and he could be sacked. If it can happen to a club legend like Hammell, then why not?
  2. Not suggesting it will be his choice to be gone by then. It wasn't Kampman or Baraclough's choice to be gone by then either...
  3. Nope, Wimmer will have to take a share of the blame as well. Is it a poor squad he inherited? Yep. But there are a fair few poor squads in this league (we were beaten by one yesterday) so getting a couple of results shouldn't be beyond any coach that belongs at this level. His persevering with a shape that's not working, with a keeper that can't catch a cold and with playing our best player out of position is fuck all to do with Kettlewell...
  4. This, 100% this. I have the feeling that Wimmer will do what Kampman and Baraclough did. Somehow keep us up, bring in his own players and be gone by Halloween...
  5. My concern with Maswanhise is the fact that even after several months training, he doesn't have the fitness to last 90 minutes. It was understandable at the outset given he'd been without a club, but not now...
  6. Brian Welsh and not with his head is my recollection...
  7. Glad that Miller hasn't been part of this disaster...
  8. I think that this kind of makes wellgirl's point about O'Donnell receiving a disproportionate amount of stick. Casey, for me, is responsible for just as many opposition goals and he seems to get an easier ride than O'Donnell from fans...
  9. To be fair, he's been called worse. At the Celtic game, one of our lot said he "liked the look of the big hobo". And today I messaged my bluenose brother that I couldn't believe that they let a Metallica roadie score into them...
  10. I put my headphones in, stuck my music on and walked to up to shop to lift cash around the same time. Glad it's not just me resorting to such tactics...
  11. What can I say? I hate it when the defence is too deep...
  12. Going with Andrews, closely followed by Miller and Armstrong (who I still reckon might be shite overall but was a menace tonight). Given his defending for their goal, I'm not giving it to Casey...
  13. 2 Given the pretty public takeover chat, a 'Rangers man' willing to hold the fort until the owners come in was my initial guess. I suspect Bill Leckie won't give Rangers stick though when they appoint the inevitable foreigner rather than a Scottish manager...
  14. Ach, every manager says that nowadays. Who's the last manager anywhere that came in promising slow, passive football? But plenty of teams produce it...
  15. You are not wrong but right now the situation we're in, I'd settle for a new manager bounce to keep us up ahead of hopefully a more successful rebuild in the summer. Is it an ideal situation? Nope, but you can only play the hand you're dealt. And I know we've dealt ourselves the shite hand we have.. Right appointment hopefully negates a total rebuild in 12-18 months...
  16. I agree but Blaney isn't playing today. Balmer is no better to be fair...
  17. Maswanhise is always knackered after an hour. Maybe the plan is to use him in the second half when defenders are tiring...
  18. He managed in Cyprus, Davor played there. Inferior quality..?
  19. Like you, I've been impressed with Healy's track record. My only concern is that managing a club with one of the biggest (if not the biggest) budgets in the league trying to win titles is different to managing when there are a good half dozen clubs with more money than you and the aim is survival or midtable mediocrity. Ask Postecoglou...
  20. It would be useful if Maswanhise could last ninety minutes...
  21. 442 with two wingers wouldn't work. Everyone plays three in centre midfield now. So unless you've got Ngolo Kante, or plan on playing counter attacking football with a solid defence. A solid defence we don't have. Every single full back we have is a wing back and way better at going forward than attacking. And we don't seem to have two centre backs solid enough to play in a back four. The ones we haven't aren't good enough when we play three of them. Other than that it's a fantastic idea...
  22. We're six points above Killie in eleventh. They have Dundee United at Rugby Park on Saturday, we play Celtic on Sunday. Not beyond the realms of possibility that the gap is three points on Sunday night. But I know that you know this. The trajectory of our form is what makes me consider the bottom two's point total rather than those of the rest of the top six...
  23. Since when was a relegation battle a free hit?
