  1. I think there's a distinction to be made between Favourite and Best. With that in mind... Favourites Dykstra Quinn Nijholt Teale Hammell Lasley Russell Valakari McFadden Cusack Clarkson Best Randolph Burley Nijholt Krivokapic McKinnon Kirk Lambert O'Donnell McFadden Coyne Porter I did see McAllister and McClair (first time around) but being honest, I was too young to appreciate them..
  2. I tend to agree with Frazzle, that Hateley and Jennings shouldn't be on that list. I'd also question the other four I have in bold. If you mean your favourite 20 players rather then the top 20, then you can have any players you like...
  3. I would argue that in Clancy, Hutchinson and Saunders, we already have three centre backs ahead of him in the pecking order and Page would be a perfectly adequate fourth choice. I like Craigan as an individual but offering him a contract would seem dat if we can keep the four I've mentioned. Obviously this depends on Saunders getting back to full fitness..
  4. I know, mate. Was being a bit tongue in cheek mentioning Hammell. You're right though and it's something I'd like to see more of. We only had two Scots in our starting eleven yesterday. Obviously that doesn't take into account that Page and Cummins are technically from our youth system..
  5. You forgot Stevie Hammell..
  6. The Own Goals Coach? Just kidding, but if McCall is having his budget cut this summer, you need to look at what you're getting for each wage. And you have to figure Craigan will be among the higher earners while sitting on the bench. Doesn't make sense really..
  7. On today's evidence (and it was only one game, granted), Craigan is a wage we don't need to spend next season..
  8. For me, between Page and Jennings. Page probably gets the nod if only because he's been much maligned recently. Carswell and Humphrey both had good games too. Cummins didn't let himself down. Randolph and Hammell were as dependable as always with each having a moment of brilliance. You could make a case for most of the team..
  9. Kenny Black on the BBC suggesting Craigan might make it. Part of me hopes not as it's been a while since we've had someone from the U19s break through..
  10. Personally I just don't see the point in bringing in someone for one game. The flipside to the two rookies argument would be, for me anyway, that at least the U19 centre back will know Page and therefore might have more of an understanding..
  11. Why spend money on a loan signing for one game? Play one of the U19s. It's one game, we may find that one of them has the strength of character to step up. If every time we have a crisis like this, we go for a loan signing, we'll never find out if our U19s have what it takes...
  12. I just don't see it with him, sorry. Decent player but most exciting player since Faddy? He has potential but is making bad decisions. I don't know if he's believing his own press but he needs to stop trying to take on the opposition singlehanded. He should be releasing the ball earlier. And part of the impact he had initially was the fact that Higdon had someone playing close to him. He seems to be playing further and further away from Higdon now. I'm not suggesting he's a bad player but he seems exempt from criticism. Only Humphrey caused Aberdeen any problems today but I knew before I came on here that Ojaama would "have been a handful". Christ, leading the MOTM poll the last I checked. Seems he can do no wrong.
  13. Not in the slightest. McHugh's goals per minutes in a Motherwell jersey, I would imagine, is pretty good. I'm not saying Ojaama is a bad player but he's not as good as is being made out on here and today he did nothing.
  14. Your opinion. Personally I thought he contributed the square root of heehaw today. Got further and further away from Higdon the longer the game went on. I don't think he's much better than McHugh..
  15. If Humphrey doesn't start next week then McCall needs to explain why. Two sub appearances, two assists. The old chestnut about his decision-making and final ball is looking outdated..
  16. Only three who got passages for me were Randolph, Clancy and Humphrey. Humphrey probably the pick in that he actually caused Aberdeen problems.. Higdon (penalty miss aside) was better than Ojaama. Don't expect to see that reflected in most opinions though..
  17. I said a few weeks ago, he would be judged on his impact when teams were aware of his threat and against better teams. He's been found wanting. I hope he proves me wrong..
  18. Am I the only one who thinks Ojaama is vastly overrated?
  19. Indeed. I'll not start celebrating/planning until we're home and dry...
  20. I don't have a match abandoned voucher but I have special voucher H in my season ticket. I don't need to redeem it for a match ticket, do I?
  21. While I agree that some overstate Lasley's abilities, I don't think it's possible to overstate his importance to our team in terms of the way we play. Both he and Jennings are excellent as a base for others to play from. Their presence allows Hammell and Hateley scope to get forward. There are midfielders in the SPL with more ability than both but few with the same awareness of and commitment to their job for the team. We'll notice how much he contributes while he's suspended. In terms of Lasley's ability, he's our Dado Prso. Not outstanding at any part of his role but good at all aspects...
  22. Apparently the reason Cerny was released was a shoulder injury that has kept him out/will keep him out for a while. Don't know if he's expected to be fit by the summer, but if he were he wouldn't be a bad shout should we sell Randolph..
  23. Any opinions on who in the U19s looks best equipped to make the step up?

    Ojamaa

You're right about Facebook. But I wouldn't worry about voting for Ojamma. Like voting for the Labour candidate in Cleland, even if you don't cast your vote, you can be fairly sure your man will win..
