  1. With Accies winning at the minute, not counting my chickens regarding relegation yet..
  2. Out of curiosity, which 5 or 6 of their players would walk into our team?
  3. I know. I made it clear that I'm not certain we'll get the win or two we need. I saw somewhere else on here mention the year we ended up in the playoffs that Ross County went on a ridiculous run under McIntyre. Not impossible that could happen again although Accies and Killie are leaving it late for that kind of big push...
  4. Looking at the table, one more win would give us an eight point gap over Kilmarnock and Hamilton Accies. That would require them to win three games to catch us in their remaining eight games (nine for Accies). Might be a tall order for two teams that have won seven and six games so far this season. If we can't win one game of our last eight, we deserve to go down. I reckon six points would definitely see us stay up. Problem would be if we perform as we did against Accies and St Johnstone, six points from eight games might be beyond us. For me, it's still too close to call...
  5. While I'm glad it sounds like the performance is a bit better, points are everything right now. Need a result as much as (more than) a performance...
  6. I take your point but if we lose the next two games to St Mirren and Hibs as badly as we lost the last two games, I suspect that those odds will change..
  7. The phrase I keep using is that we've spent years flirting on and off flirting with relegation, this might be the season it gets us drunk and gets us into bed...
  8. Hanging out with Eddie Nolan, Sam Foley and Holm Kraska?
  9. That shirt would have been fine with single colour shorts. Indeed, they nearly got relegated. Nearly being the key word there. I suspect we'll be saying of this season "we nearly stayed up"...
  10. That team had players with character in it. For Wednesday, and going forward, I'd be going 352. We have no wingers that offer anything and with a defence as porous as it's been in the last couple of games, having another body in there couldn't do any more harm than we're already doing to ourselves. Problem will be the number of available (competent) players to play centre half. God knows what the lineup will be...
  11. Dunno, according to this, you might be right https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2020/06/16/young-four-sign-new-deals/
  12. According to official site, Maguire also contracted til 2022. Oh well, at least there's scope for a rebuild..
  13. Does anyone know exactly how many players we have under contract for next season and who they are? Trying to look ahead to what will be our promotion chasing squad...
  14. I did ask on here if it could maybe have worked out differently for him if he'd got a goal early in his Motherwell career. I was laughed at. Apparently all he needed was to be part of a well functioning team....
  15. If Gallagher is trying to renegotiate his contract to avoid an automatic extension, you could argue that he is now in a strong negotiating position. On the other hand, he's hardly been fantastic and if he's not committed, how will he perform..?
  16. On today's evidence Hastie and Roberts would contribute nothing in a 442. We all know Seedorf. Lawless injured. 442 isn't an option...
  17. Only problem is that they still have us to play...
  18. Horrendous substitutions. Maguire had occasionally found a Motherwell player...
  19. St Johnstone taking their foot off the gas. And still a mile ahead...
  20. According to BBC, St Johnstone have had 15 shots in the first half. Fifteen. Fucking hell...
  21. We don't have any other midfielders available...
  22. He looks like Baresi compared to McGloire. He looks Zak Jules bad...
  23. Careful. I got slaughtered on here earlier this season for suggesting he'd walk into our first team right now...
