  1. Definitely wouldn't mind something a bit different...
  2. Can't think of many players in that squad that tick both boxes in terms of being affordable and also being players that we'd want. Which leads me to think that at least one of them would be a very young player on the fringes of their squad... EDIT If you go down the road of 'well, he's from Northern Ireland' and given we're looking for a wing back, could Hodson be someone we'd look at and could afford? Also young guy Jordan Thompson on loan at Livingston is Northern Irish and pretty sure I heard Craigan say on commentary that he's a player he knows well...
  3. I reckon Robinson will see Aldred, Hartley and Dunne as his back three for next season. Obviously neither Hartley nor Aldred offer the same physical presence as Kipré but could live with that back three. There have been strong rumours as to who Carson's replacement will be. I tend to agree that a left wing back should be and indeed will be a priority...
  4. Actually on annual leave this week and took an extra shift or two to give me something else to think about..
  5. Tynecastle bound, I gather. He'd likely suffer the same problem as Frear at Fir Park in that we don't actually play with wingers...
  6. Grimshaw for me. If I'm not mistaken, the only two 'senior' professionals that have played regularly and are out of contract in the summer are Rose and Grimshaw. There have been rumours that Rose wants to move back to the US, but there's been no real discussion on Grimshaw's situation. He certainly seems to have contributed more recently having barely featured in the first half of the season. Be interesting to see if we offer him a new deal with McHugh, Campbell, Bigirimana, Tanner and now Turnbull competing for midfield places...
  7. Thanks for the information. Didn't have time to go through the process just now to find out...
  8. Also got the email about season tickets through. There doesn't appear to be the option to pay in instalments mentioned in the brochure. I'll be frank that if there is no option to finance the season ticket, the club will have lost at least two season ticket holders...
  9. Also good news that young Turnbull got the assist on his first start..
  10. Bowman. Generally made a positive contribution. Only player I can think of that falls into that category...
  11. Aye, but he doesn't look like Bill Pulman in Ruthless People..
  12. Actually thought there wasn't much in the game until they scored. Seem to remember Main missing a chance at 0-0 that he should have scored. Alarmingly when they scored, we seemed to fall to pieces. Every goal was poor defensively.. Maguire seemed to be getting targeted by St Johnstone but others at the back had poor games. Ciftci and Petravicius can go now as far as I'm concerned. Still, if you're feeling bad, it could be worse. You could be Ricky Foster...
  13. Robbie Leitch scored for Queens Park yesterday..
  14. Given how much Robinson made of signing the right character of player and how disruptive Miller seems to have been at Rangers, it would seem unlikely. Unless the perception behind the scenes in football is that Miller's gripes were justified..
  15. These sound like new signings or new contracts for the likes of Dunne and Bowman..?
  16. I find myself in the same boat. Perversely though some of the podcasts I look forward to are produced by the BBC (Euro Leagues Podcast or 5 live's football daily) which makes me feel that the problem might be BBC Scotland and its parochialism. Sid Lowe and Rafael Honigstein or Pat Bonner and Willie Miller? Hmmmm, I wonder...
  17. I'd go with Griffiths Watt Maguire Bowers Livingstone MacLean McHugh Turnbull Petravicius Ciftci Scott This game means nothing. Worst that could happen? One of the young guys makes a case for inclusion in the squad for the semi..
  18. Ignoring the fact that two January signings started and two summer signings came off the bench? As others have stated five of the summer signings out injured. Also two of the signings were goalkeepers so only one of them can play. People seem obsessed at the moment with numbers, percentages and statistics and what they can show...
  19. Think he might be talking about you and me, Fraz? Hendrie was poor tonight but he wasn't alone. Difference for most fans is that we've seen enough from the other players in other games to suggest that they can offer better. Haven't seen anything from Hendrie yet.. Tonight was dreadful to watch and we offered very little but other than December, that's been rare this season. If you're looking for a football team that isn't going to have the occasional game like that, Fir Park probably isn't for you..
  20. So what you're saying is that in the 11 league games since the winter break, we have won 3, drawn 4 and lost 4? See you make statistics say anything you want...
  21. Looks like a 442 to me. Can't see a way to make that a 352...
  22. Or part of a back three with Hartley and Dunne next season...
  23. Same team as last game. Hopefully same level of performance...
  24. Ciftci seen training is something to worry about on recent form...
  25. I don't know if this is true or not but I was told at work last night that the club are only selling the more expensive £30/15 tickets at the moment...
