  1. Let me first say that I like Andy Rose and don't think he's nearly as bad as some on here make out. But to me, dropping Tanner today looks like a way of keeping Rose in the team and that decision looks baffling to me. Hope I'm proved wrong...
  2. To be fair, first half was brutal. Where Steelboy is wrong is that it had nothing to do with Robinson's tactics and more to do with the poor quality players on both sides...
  3. Simo Valakari on Gascoigne on Owen Coyle day is my particular favourite...
  4. You would hope that someone paid to scout players could see past that. I would hope that in the summer we would be looking for at least £500k on the basis of his age and his natural physical attributes. But as always, as others have pointed out, a player's value is essentially whatever someone is willing to pay for him...
  5. Given in his post match interview he stated that he had to be careful not to bring in players that would impede the likes of Livingstone, McGuire and Turnbull, I thought maybe one more signing at most. Maybe a short term loan til the summer in the hope that the young players are ready to step up then...
  6. I'm more convinced that if we get through, it'll be Celtic, Aberdeen, Rangers or Hearts. Away...
  7. Given the teams that were left in the draw with four ties drawn, it could have been a whole lot worse...
  8. This is not a criticism of Carson but I can't honestly remember these great saves he made. Any saves I saw him make today were saves I'd expect him to make and I suspect he'd be disappointed himself if he didn't make...
  9. Carson's save was one for the cameras, had it gone then I'd have been seriously unimpressed. Agree about Tanner. Think the only tiny criticism I would have is that occasionally holds on to the ball a second too long at times. Still think he's our key attacking player at the moment...
  10. Dunne at wing back and a midfield three of Campbell, Rose and Tanner? Surely not...
  11. The total absence of Bowman with Fisher on the bench suggests it may be Bowman we try and get off the wagebill rather than Fisher. As Lobey points out, continued absence of Frear and Cadden really limits us. Bigirimana or MacLean might be required for us to win this...
  12. Don't think you'll be a million miles away with that...
  13. Some of their fans don't seem that upset about it. And perhaps can understand why looking at their goal difference...
  14. As much as I loved Chris Humphrey (and I loved him a lot) and as much as he improved in his time at Fir Park, his biggest asset was his pace. When that's the case with a player, their careers tend to dip earlier than other players...
  15. Don't worry. Mr Robinson will tell us all how much of a coup this is. Just have a horrible feeling that this is going to be a huge mistake...
  16. Trying to suggest the Ciftci deal is done? Underwhelming if true. And tends to undermine the idea that Robinson wants the right type of characters, given Ciftci certainly comes across as someone with an attitude problem...
  17. I think 'not actively looking to ship anyone out' means we won't be paying anyone off but I suspect there are a few players that if other clubs express an interest, that interest won't be discouraged...
  18. Imagine my horror when I recently found out that you don't get anything for a ginger bottle now...
  19. Those slating Curtis Main on the basis of his numbers need to remember you can twist them to suit any purpose. His time at Portsmouth, he started 12 games, scoring 6 goals. Career wise started 107 games, scored 32 goals. Not saying that he'll be great but to dismiss him simply on appearances/goals without taking into account the number/length of sub appearances is disingenuous...
  20. Assuming Rangers actually cough up the cash...
  21. Three right footed central defenders, one we want to develop to sell, one who is very much a first pick and someone the club has targeted for a while and someone coming in on loan for game time. None of them look like candidates for a backup role...
  22. If we bring Heneghan back on loan, I'll assume that the Hartley deal has fallen through or we're selling Kipré...
  23. Still basically moving the goalposts for one player. And your quote is to do with the Premier League, doesn't affect Moult...
