I haven’t brought myself to listen to it but I would expect words of encouragement for a new boy making his first start.

There are 4 first team coaches who thought that sitting a weakened 3 man midfield in front of an inexperienced back 4 would provide any sort of protection or indeed a presence in the game. We won nothing in the middle, every clearance was into space or to an opposition player and invited more of the onslaught. Was the unavailability of players new news or was there time for planning because it looked like the tactics were same again boys. As uninspiring as the football was the arms and legs of the Gallagher chronicles are riveting.

After the split the three teams below us can each win one game against each other then beat us and we are bottom. Accies beat County, County beat Killie, Killie beat Accies.

We haven’t finished below St Mirren since the ‘80s, this is our last chance to draw them anywhere towards us, history dictates that we win this. Looks like it will be the same squad so it will be the chosen formation that will have to be the determining factor.

SOD needs to come back in but I assume that means young Max, who at least tried today, has to drop out.

If they were in the pipeline they would have been in quicker, these are on Alexander but they were very likely not our first or second choices.

I haven’t checked but from memory Lamie is here for another year, the question is whether we keep Bevis beyond this season. The evidence suggests we need a whole bunch of central defenders to get us through a season.

At 0-0 I was anxious that we conceded and lost the point that we had. Then we scored and the anxiety increased because now we would drop 2 points. This game isn’t good for the health.

It was good to see another of the new boys get some time on the pitch, even if I did expect him to concede a late penalty.

I am aware that regardless of being on a semi good run we can lose any one particular game, we still have our vulnerabilities, but come on we are due this one. Give us the points.
