Lasley isn’t getting it, the new man will keep the coaching staff until the summer, if they work as a team then great, otherwise changes will be made at that time.
He would be well served by working under someone with a different style to broaden his experience. I would assume the club would suggest keeping the coaching team.
Grimshaw is the kind of player to have in the squad to cover for injury or suspension, can cover many positions but unlikely to hold one down long term. Good for a game at a time. I think I am suggesting utility reserve, happy to keep him around.
I can’t even remember what McGinley is like, not seem enough of him but could he not have been tried at left sided central defence.
First sub being White was a resignation.
That’s Lasley had a go, presumably Mo Ross gets next week and finally Hammell gets a shot. By then we will have found someone to take us forward.
I genuinely can’t think of anyone who is a natural fit.
I don’t know if a frosty plastic pitch is the right setting but Hastie should get one more run out before he is jettisoned. Maybe wait till he is up against Tait next week.
If Las takes the job he is essentially putting himself out of work, even a successful Lasley regime would last 3 years, just a typical shelf life, then what.
