  1. Could you do that with an email?
  2. Yes, Shane Blaney might have been an example for us. Signed in December but registered in January. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2022/12/19/irish-defender-blaney-signs/
  3. I suspect he signed the extension a while ago and not just as a parting ‘gift’. If he had been out of contract at the end of May he could sign for Rangers immediately, no 2 week gap. The window is a period for registration, not for employment.

How different is that from standing across the road and buying a ticket online, then crossing the road and scanning in?
  5. If any investment is not transformational I would use that money for structural improvements sustaining the club for the future. The playing side would be financed by what it can generate in gate receipts, sponsorships and prize money. Lifting the cost base of the team above what is affordable once the investor is gone would be problematic.

    New kit for 2023/24

Jakarta? my geography was never great.
  9. This has consistently been my position too, what happens in the end? I can get on board with the recent chat about a partnership, an investor can put his money in and use us to his advantage, a marketing ploy, a commercial venture or just bragging rights to his chums (good luck there). But his project is likely to be a 5 year or at most a 10 year one, what happens then, how does he get out, is there an agreed exit, what if he has made no money? If he wants to take control he needs to invest some serious money, say £10M, but what does this mean? It means he owns a company with £10M in cash, who is in control of that cash, him? He could pay that as a dividend. I am happy for us to be exploring this concept but the outcome needs to be a strong club because we will still be here when the investor has gone, (and so will Bevis presumably).
  10. Have you registered? Then go in via the Away Ticket link on our Tickets page.
  11. He was in ‘back to haunt his old team’ mode. On Wednesday he will be ‘Hibs v Hearts’. These guys have too many hats to wear.
  12. I didn’t think I would see a Paul McGinn goal in my lifetime.

What about the opposite side of the coin, with all the banners and choreographed displays in the corner of Hunter stand will any of our young bois go on to a career in art and design?
  14. It was probably Gent, but Nicholson’s goal….
  15. The journey back on the train was full of Jam Tarts, felt very smug.
  16. No, a player could be nudged, fall awkwardly and break an ankle. Is that a free kick for the nudge or a red card for the breakage? One is the action the other the outcome.
  17. It’s refereeing the outcome rather than the action.
  18. Although I have sympathy for the referee in having to make a decision on what he has seen, I would say that there was no challenge and there certainly wasn’t a lunge. It would be fanciful but if you could air brush the Aberdeen player out of the video you would just see a foot kicking the ball, no deviation towards an opponent. The force of the incident was provided by the opponent not Vale. I suspect there was enough contact that the appeal will fail. The Rangers keeper got yellow carded for clearing a ball then a St Mirren player running into him. Why is there no onus on the player to protect himself? In our case the Aberdeen boy wasn’t getting the ball and his momentum caused a collision.
  19. Fairly sure it would have been in the email sent to season ticket holders explaining that their ticket would be free.
  20. The club provided an option to contribute the cost of a ticket to help others or alternatively to support the community trust, anyone wanting to spend their season ticket money would have done so.
  21. Did he get a pay off, i.e. have St Johnstone effectively paid his salary this year and we are topping it up with the buttons that was reported earlier in the season.
  22. Something like : top 2 get champions league, cup winners get Europa, third and 4th place gets Conference league, if 1st-4th win the cup then 5th gets conference league.
  23. An early draw against County and win against Saints should see us coast over the line. If our first two games are against Hibs and Aberdeen then we may still be in a battle by the time these games are done.
