This has consistently been my position too, what happens in the end? I can get on board with the recent chat about a partnership, an investor can put his money in and use us to his advantage, a marketing ploy, a commercial venture or just bragging rights to his chums (good luck there). But his project is likely to be a 5 year or at most a 10 year one, what happens then, how does he get out, is there an agreed exit, what if he has made no money? If he wants to take control he needs to invest some serious money, say £10M, but what does this mean? It means he owns a company with £10M in cash, who is in control of that cash, him? He could pay that as a dividend. I am happy for us to be exploring this concept but the outcome needs to be a strong club because we will still be here when the investor has gone, (and so will Bevis presumably).

What about the opposite side of the coin, with all the banners and choreographed displays in the corner of Hunter stand will any of our young bois go on to a career in art and design?

It was probably Gent, but Nicholson’s goal….

The journey back on the train was full of Jam Tarts, felt very smug.

No, a player could be nudged, fall awkwardly and break an ankle. Is that a free kick for the nudge or a red card for the breakage? One is the action the other the outcome.
-
It’s refereeing the outcome rather than the action.

Although I have sympathy for the referee in having to make a decision on what he has seen, I would say that there was no challenge and there certainly wasn’t a lunge. It would be fanciful but if you could air brush the Aberdeen player out of the video you would just see a foot kicking the ball, no deviation towards an opponent. The force of the incident was provided by the opponent not Vale. I suspect there was enough contact that the appeal will fail. The Rangers keeper got yellow carded for clearing a ball then a St Mirren player running into him. Why is there no onus on the player to protect himself? In our case the Aberdeen boy wasn’t getting the ball and his momentum caused a collision.

Fairly sure it would have been in the email sent to season ticket holders explaining that their ticket would be free.
-
The club provided an option to contribute the cost of a ticket to help others or alternatively to support the community trust, anyone wanting to spend their season ticket money would have done so.

Did he get a pay off, i.e. have St Johnstone effectively paid his salary this year and we are topping it up with the buttons that was reported earlier in the season.

Something like : top 2 get champions league, cup winners get Europa, third and 4th place gets Conference league, if 1st-4th win the cup then 5th gets conference league.

An early draw against County and win against Saints should see us coast over the line. If our first two games are against Hibs and Aberdeen then we may still be in a battle by the time these games are done.

The rain is on, maybe postpone this one till Wednesday?

That is my concern, we receive a bit of money, we attract ‘better’ players on higher wages and this becomes the norm when the money disappears. We need to understand the lifespan of any investment and the exit strategy once the fun stops. I would rather we received some money for some American with Scottish heritage to show off to his pals for a couple of years then disappear than some investor thinking there is money to be made. I would also rather any money went into the infrastructure of the club and the stadium and leave the players on the pitch to be paid for by us punters, sponsorship etc i.e keep our running costs at a sustainable level but take advantage of the opportunity to secure our long term future.

Team in 11th play 38 + 2 across the season, if the team finishing second gets through they play 36 + 4, pretty equal. The inequality is if the team in 3rd or 4th prevails but from above they have an ‘unearned’ opportunity.

There is a 228 minute one from the 23rd, scrub that it is a Northern Irish one.
