Voted for Barry because no-one else had, but to be fair he was essentially making his debut in that position, he has had a couple of league cup games against lower league opposition but this is the real stuff, he got robbed a couple of times but in the main was assured, kept the ball moving, made a few forward moves and mopped up at the back too. A good game.

The ref didn’t actually see the incident, he was following the ball, presumably the lines woman shouted red card or something and he halted the play at that point.

Instead of an attack down the left with all the attackers and defenders running towards the goal we had a free kick played directly into the box, keeper collected it, game over. The fee kick being awarded snuffed out the game.

It helped wind down the clock and let us see the game out, so all good.

I think his comments were mis reported, it came across as him laughing at the boy with the sore nose on the day. What he said was their post-match bleeting was funny, which it was.
