There is/was a rule that if you hadn’t reached the suspension threshold by the mid season point you get to go again, so you could have 5 bookings in each half of the season. Slattery of course takes it to extremes, but if he is, say, one booking short of a suspension he will see the season out, he started this season with a two match suspension, could happen again.

If he is being released ie no contact offered, would there be a fee?

Spittal has been one of the stars of the Kettlewell era, I think everyone would agree that.

He has been able to get the best out of the resources he had available to him. I hope he doesn’t overthink things in the summer. Maybe signings should be taken out of his hands and he just gets a tune out of what he is given.

It was indeed the low point of our season.

The only benefit I can see is for the team relegated from League 2 as they are only competing with 5 other teams to go back up. Highland/Lowland league teams need to win an additional stage to reach the SPFL so why would they vote for it? is there any other perceived benefit for anyone outside the B teams?
