  1. For me, neither league position or the poor run of results would affect the majority of the support. What has however provoked the reaction is the dire set ups week in week out. Very little attempt to change whats clearly not working. Not even threatning the opposition. The manner of play & the bad results is what is going to spell the end for kettlewell
  2. Its not good where we are ranked & we get stuffed off crap teams however i doubt theres a motherwell fan alive (including MJC) who didnt love Nancy! But that was in part due to the novelty of europe, time in the wilderness & facing a decent team within an easy travel. Anyway, more importantly, away to the worst team in the league, take a big support & muster 1 shot on target. That is unforgivable and worse still, sadly predictable. Kettlewell & the players all need to take a hard look at themselves. The boos were clear. If Kettlewell doesnt change the approach fast, we need to change him out
  3. Im sure we dont activley do it, but we certainly do not go out to enforce our game on the opposition & make chances to win. You mention the old firm & if you take Rangers, this is the head scratching example. Semi final, Rangers were in dire straights leading up to that game & low on confidence. We deliberatley sat back & allowed them to dictate. Countless examples of Seddon getting to half way line with acres of space infront of him to progress forward but he would stop & play a diagonal ball. A clear instruction. We then followed up with similarly toothless displays against Ross C & Hibs. Contrast that with the December game against Rangers where we set out to do damage & managed to carry it off. Last 15 mins v Kilmarnock at Fir Park, down to 10 men we hsve a go & look as dynamic as we have done all season. Its astonishing that we clearly have players with enough guile to take the game to our opponents yet our manager is happy to keep them shakled. Iv said it before, he shouldnt get sacked but he is not learning from his mistakes.
  4. And how about when we appear to make no effort to actually try and win the game? Which is a little different from entertaining but linked
  5. For me the issue is that our players blatantly can play better attacking football. We see it time & again in the last 20 minutes of games or when kettlewell has an epithany & sends the team out to have a go - see game v rangers & the night game v dundee utd. The problem is that he then reverts back to ultra defensive with hoofball thrown in. If thats all we were capable of then that may be acceptable, but we can see its not
  6. Dont forget, all the boys are desperate to make ammends.... Then go out, get a win & then back to shite the next week
  7. Craigan is shocked its 0-0. Says Killie running over the top of us & we are offering nothing. To be honest, despite our league position, we have all seen that movie many times this season
  8. Im hopeful we wont need to worry about playoffs but given how tight the league is & there is only 1 team cut off, & some teams with deeper pockets are below us. I do think the usual points totals are going to be off this season. Ideally get to 40 as soon as possible and take it from there.....
  9. I wouldnt want rid of him, hes a young manager and he's doing fine. Is he setting the heather alight? No, but if he was he wouldnt last long. It would however be good to see him learn from mistakes and note just how poor & toothless we are when he sets us up defensivley
  10. Took a while to get going but we were pretty good first half. Should have scored a couple before we did. Casey i think missed a sitter of a header & someone took the ball out of hallidays feet before he was about to smash it from 8 yards. 2 great finishes & fat tony did what he does by niggling & goading that red card. Superb stuff. The rest of the first half we passed it about in complete control. Fuck knows what happened 2nd half. The ball was a hot potato that our guys just panicked anytime they touched it. We really missed Miller not being able to take the sting out it & play a few passes. Aberdeen looked the team with 11 men. Three points, clean sheet, great stuff but by god we made hard work of that 2nd half
  11. Take the game to Rangers and look good..... come up against a misfiring Hearts team & play the sitting back tactics which served us well against Hibs, County & semi final. Said it before, our problem is kettlewell doesnt learn from mistakes
  12. Given we have turned up in quite a few games recently with zero intention of putting the opposition under pressure (Ross County, Hibs & semi final spring to mind) then absolutley nobody should be surprised when we try something similar away at celtic. Kettlewell has done a decent job. We are doing fine. But...... he is learning nothing from his mistakes
  13. When the £8mill story broke i was 'pleasantly surprised'. To be fair wasnt sure how justifiable it was. Iv sat down the last few matches to try & watch him objectivley. Hes only 18, has a cracking football brain, set pieces already on point & he is a big laddie. He will be a monster in a few years. The big stand out for me however is if you watch him, the amount of his passes that hit the target are head & shoulders above the rest of the team. If Mika Biereth were in this team this season, the damage we could do with them both being on a similar wavelength would have been fun to watch
