Big Koc looking at them with real disapointment.....
-
Just had a wee look. Ketsbia hasnt managed in the UK at all. At the risk of sounding like Farage, im struggling to see what he brings to the role and how he would work with Scottish lads who may be of an inferior quality than those he has managed before. Doubtful he will have local player knowledge, even UK knowledge now. I think he was a hard cunt back in his playing days so we could always use him to knock some game into our lads, & he could hold his own with the boo boys.
-
Agree, formation didnt change but application & determination did. We were still in the game for 70 odd minutes & made celtic work for their win. Thats a big contrast from most of the shite served up this season
-
As much as its good to have a well fan on the wireless. Cowan is an old timer. Stuck in the past. His ideas, while they might be useful, are hardly dynamic ir forward thinking. Hopefully our new guys at the helm contunue to look outside the box.

Wiki says Lowe plays 3-1-4-2 Love it, after the last 5 years dross im all in! At least if it fails it will be glorious & hopefully some fun along the way.

Which generally has to be found with or without Millers sale - certainly the crucial parts. That revenue will just help us not be as impovrished, whether we recieved it in one lump or over a series of instalments. Its good that we both know these things
-
So thats what - 25-33% upfront. 33% of £4mill still gives us a decent amount to work with to reshape the squad in addition to leveraging future deals through guaranteed income over the next 3 years. But you knew that too.

Sadly we barely laid a glove on celtic but the effort & determination was there & celtic were made to work for it. Far more positive than its been. The left back looks good. Fast, not scared to burst forward & put on the cross for that goal. Sadly didnt look to exploit the side much after that. Armstrong rolled his sleeves up & got stuck right in. Did well & annoyed the life out of celtic rather than letting their defenders do what they wanted. Impressed by him. Cant write the Palace boy off after half an hour but he was certainly the opposite of armstrong. Looked a bit shaken by the no nonsense elements of scottish football. Didnt notice enough of the man city boy but he was played in midfield. To be honest, a game v celtic isnt the one to be makimg judgements on players.

If he resigned & it wasnt a mutual consent parting of the ways then there shouldnt be a settlement. Unless there is something crazy in his contract, he is the one who has decided to cut it short. We shouldnt owe him anything.
-
That in itself tells a story. If it wasnt deliberate then we really were poorly coached & really, not a very good team

I dont know how to interpret that interview. Clearly Caldwell is upset by the entire episode but the interview makes it sound as though there has been a death in the family! Iv got 100% sympathy with the abuse and anyone who is not tuned to the moon knows that it will have happened to sone extent. Caldwell again makes no attempt to discuss what has lead to the abuse. The dire performances, the complete surrender of possession and the inability to learn week after week. The plus for me is the volume of enquiries we have had so far. Hopefully we can find a good fit along the way and press on. Onwards and upwards, mon the 'well!
-
Wouldnt have an issue with Brown if he is identified as the best candidate. The problem he will have will be similar to mccall in that there will be a section of our fans who will never accept him*. *that section will be the opposite of the mccall haters
-
Clearly abuse is not appropriate but neither SK, Caldwell, the 'well society and the majority of the press have acknowledged the underlieing problem and the fact that it was becoming a major issue with or without abuse! The form, the stats, the preparation, the abysmal lack of fight and the continual inability to learn lessons, adapt and change is the real problem. SK with his what would seem apparant lack of self awareness has chosen to ignore these issues and tell us all he is gone because some roasters have shouted at him. While said roasters are clearly in the wrong, the fact that the abuse would appear to be the main reason and not these other factors would seem very convenient. For me, while its not an ideal way to end things, his tenure had run its course. He couldnt fix the problems and we move on.

Going to sound like MJC but..... we are getting royally scudded here and the narrative in the press will be careful what you wish for!
-
Was he getting abuse? Probably Is that appropriate if we get down to brass tacks for a workplace in 2025? Of course not Is it part and parcel of the job and happens to any football manager at any club on a horrific run throwing up horrific performances week on week? Of course and thats not going to change. Now we dont know the level of it, hopefully it was just plenty 'get tae fucks' and nothing more sinister. What has been clear for sometime is that he is really feeling the pressure. He has run out of answers on the pitch and its come to a head. Im guessing if he was in a better space the abuse would wash over him. At the end of the day, the product on the pitch has been poor and the bit thats done it for him is that it & results have been getting worse the last couple of months. Yes he has been hamstrung by injuries but his selections and tactics have done him no favours. I and plenty others wantef him to do well but it just became impossible to keep supporting him. Thanks for the efforts Stuart, best of luck in the future but it was probably best for all concerned to part ways.

Sadly thats correct. Would have been good though if Scotty said yesterday...... ok stuart youv explained your frustration at the two errors at the end losing us the game, can we talk about the 3 shots on target, one of which was the penalty & how can we expect to win games with so little attacking intent??
-
Spends most of the interview talking about defensive lapses & folk worrying about getting injured. Completley skips over the 3 shots we had on target & the brutal possession stats. Heres some non football manager advice Einstein...... if we dont attack & shoot then we are very unlikely to win games!
-
Regardless he will be fine because there will be at least two posters on here defending him to the end...... And still saying GA got a raw deal
-
No lessons learned. Keep offering the ball to the opposition, dont put them under any pressure then wonder why we are struggling. I am usually in the happy clapper camp but this cant go on. If we were trying to have a go, trying something different and getting beat then that might be justifiable..... but we are not. He is not learning anything!
-
Time up. Zero lessons learnt!

That interview on radio scotland just now a shambles..... i'll do what i always do which is work a rediculous number of hours a week for this club.... Wee violin stuart. Lots of us work tons of hours. We had a bad performance last week & we will try to rectify it.... Good but the issue is not 1 bad performance, its the volume of them this season. And how many times have we had to sit and listen to you say that exact same thing but yet you keep sending us out the same way He's clearly feeling the pressure here. Wouldnt surprise me if the players have been letting him know its not working
-
Totally agree with that but surely you have enough self awareness to flip that statement and see that you very much come across as someone who cant see him doing anything wrong? - which incidentally is no better or worse than his staunchest critics. This is a fans discussion board. Everyones opinion is valid.
-
For me, neither league position or the poor run of results would affect the majority of the support. What has however provoked the reaction is the dire set ups week in week out. Very little attempt to change whats clearly not working. Not even threatning the opposition. The manner of play & the bad results is what is going to spell the end for kettlewell
-
Its not good where we are ranked & we get stuffed off crap teams however i doubt theres a motherwell fan alive (including MJC) who didnt love Nancy! But that was in part due to the novelty of europe, time in the wilderness & facing a decent team within an easy travel. Anyway, more importantly, away to the worst team in the league, take a big support & muster 1 shot on target. That is unforgivable and worse still, sadly predictable. Kettlewell & the players all need to take a hard look at themselves. The boos were clear. If Kettlewell doesnt change the approach fast, we need to change him out
-
Im sure we dont activley do it, but we certainly do not go out to enforce our game on the opposition & make chances to win. You mention the old firm & if you take Rangers, this is the head scratching example. Semi final, Rangers were in dire straights leading up to that game & low on confidence. We deliberatley sat back & allowed them to dictate. Countless examples of Seddon getting to half way line with acres of space infront of him to progress forward but he would stop & play a diagonal ball. A clear instruction. We then followed up with similarly toothless displays against Ross C & Hibs. Contrast that with the December game against Rangers where we set out to do damage & managed to carry it off. Last 15 mins v Kilmarnock at Fir Park, down to 10 men we hsve a go & look as dynamic as we have done all season. Its astonishing that we clearly have players with enough guile to take the game to our opponents yet our manager is happy to keep them shakled. Iv said it before, he shouldnt get sacked but he is not learning from his mistakes.
