  1. I agree he shouldnt go getting involved in a slagging match but when grown men are standing 5metres or less away from him bursting blood vessels and shouting "Al fuckin see you in the carpark ya....." then theres really only so much you can do to block it out. I still cant get my head around fans getting offended when a player has the balls to give them something back. Granted, a ref is slightly different but a sly chuckle and smirk from him is hardly the end of the world.
  2. Madden didnt cause us to lose the game but he does suffer the same flaw as the majority of scottish refs in that if a player has a big reputation then the refs let them away with murder. Its always been the case - Naismith, Brown and yesterday McGinn. We can't really complain too much as we have benefited from this in recent years with the stuff Faddy and Skippy got away with. Moults been getting a pass from these guys too now as he is one of the leagues big boys. As for Madden laughing. What was he meant to do? He's got half the East Stand singing at him with numerous grown men foaming at the mouth losing their shit and challenging him to a fight in the car park. I was pissing myself at some of the reactions. No wonder he did. He's still a shite ref tho!
  3. Just read and watched the clips. Brilliant for us considering the last few days reporting! Even better, thats Ryan Jacks THIRD red this season!
  4. Half watching sheep v celtic. Aberdeen sitting off them and getting destroyed. Think its safe to say we wont be giving Celtic as much space to let them play. They might still hump us, but cant see us inviting them to do so as Aberdeen are.
  5. I heard them report it on sportsound just before the match and to be fair they seemed to have taken a step back. Chick Young said both teams were playing hard, Miller, English and Gordon were asking if the Rangers programme reported the elbow on Moult or the Alves kick out. They belitted Cardoso a bit. Refreshing to hear
  6. To be fair, thats not really a bad one. It's reporting the facts and Rangers statement. It's not going to town on us or our players and not offering their own comment and views.
  7. As funny as that is i wish it had all got swept under the carpet. Despite Stevies great efforts in the presser, the agenda has been set against us and Bowman. The last thing we need is a Rangers with chip on shoulder bleating the case to their media chums.
  8. Press conference was top class. What we really need though is a sympathetic reporter/pundit to pick up on it and run with it (the facts as stated by the manager) rather than sweeping what he said under the carpet or looking to twist it and get a response from Rogers.
  9. My song for Campbell to the tune of Staying Alive by the Bee Gee's You can tell by the way he plays the game he's a steelman no time to talk Feeling proud the crowd's loud been kicking a ball since he was a child Now it's alright it's Ok, he's playing the Motherwell way Now he seems to understand the claret and amber effect on the man Now he's in the 1st team he's living the dream, Allan Campbell Allan Campbell Breaking down attacks no time to relax Allan Campbell Allan Campbell Ah ha ha ha Allan Campbell Allan Campbell Ah ha ha Allan Campbeeeelllll
  10. I admit i thought Ainsworth would be a big miss with his assists and a reasonable goal return but wow, Robinson has built a team that offers pace, power and attacking threat so much that Lionel would struggle to offer enough competition to guarantee he would be one of the three used subs. Do we miss him? Not really, and i say that as a Lionel fan. Also agree that the dressing room and squad spirit has probably improved without McDonald.
  11. Got to remember it might not be our decision. If he keeps banging in goals at the rate he's doing this season so far, he holds all the cards come the summer. I expect he could command some serious wages by that point. Maybe he might not fancy going to a Preston North End in January and is quite happy to hold out to see what he can get come the summer. Saying that, if he keeps up the current rate i expect bigger English Championship clubs will come in in January looking to throw money at someone who they feel might help them get promotion.
  12. By then we will be 7 clear top of the league. He'll be desperate to finish what he started......
  13. Good words and it is encouraging, but really, all you needed to say was that you agreed with Goggles and Flippers initial statement.... "Only criticism I have is Les announced this in what March? We're now in September and I've yet to see some concerted and tangible effort to capitalise on this offer. You'll appreciate Jay, I've brought this up with you directly too."
  14. The recruitment campaign is where I struggle to see tangible differences between what is being done now and what was done before. I've noticed tables with fliers on them in the east stand and some other fliers in the toilets but really thats about it. As for the rest of the things, they are all well and good but if the recruitment campaign is not correct and not touching the fan base then how are we going to capitalise on the opportunity that Les has presented. I dare say that there are plenty of 'well fans who have no interest in playing 7 asides, whisky, podcasts may be beyond them and they are not 'high rollers'. Have these guys really been thought of and targeted?
  15. Rose tinted nostalgia! We all know plenty of Rangers, Hibs, Hearts and Dundee United fans who tell us its not fun at all.
  16. If its all true, then the club will surely stop him playing, and potentially need to have a look at themselves for signing the guy in the first place. Hopefully its all a lot of internet nonsense however and he's back playing against all clubs asap.
  17. I've said it before, but whatever the difference is financially to the club of being in the top league v being in the championship is Moults value to us. Quite simply, if we didn't have him with us last season, we wouldn't be playing in the premier league this season.
  18. I hate losing our guys to the Old firm but in this case, i would much rather see our man go to Celtic than those dobbers in Aberdeen. 2 good seasons and they think their world beaters. Forgetting conveniently about the previous 10. If he goes anywhere, i really hope a half decent English team comes in and gazumps them both.
  19. Bowman? I'm all for giving the guy a fair crack of the whip, but for me he's still got to prove himself before he gets any new contracts.
