  1. Its part of his remit now to talk up our players and sell them on. Moult will be away in the summer so we need to raise his profile as much as we can and try and maximise his value
  2. Got to agree/hope your right. I think a bid of £750k earlier in the month and he would have been away. At this stage in the night leaving us with a want away skippy, bowman plus maybe cifty? Nah. Other question, why would Rangers wait until tonight??
  3. I’m not advocating for Ojamma, we have got two better strikers than him at the moment, however, if McDonald fucks off tonight after the game then we are going to need a foil for our star man. As good as Moult is, he’s not a 1 striker option. Ojamma could be that foil. He can also play a role in linking midfield and attack which is something that we really don’t have at the moment. Anyway, if we can keep Moult and McDonald then there’s no requirement for the sheriff.
  4. Looking at the balance of our squad and the fact we havent managed a really secure gap from the bottom, i would much rather we keep Moult till the summer (unless a crazy bid comes in). The guy is fast turning into a Motherwell legend. It will be a sore one when he goes.
  5. I'd like to think that every one of those players is absolutely gutted at the result on Saturday. Hopefully every one of them recognised/realised that Rangers were not actually that good. Hopefully every one of them is going to come flying out the traps on Saturday determined to really stick it to them...... Hopefully McGhee send the team out to spank them, rather than sit back.
  6. It is quite worrying to hear a senior player may be throwing his toys out the pram. That can breed unrest and really, its something we can do without in the next few months. As for the game, still gutted. More so because we gifted them the winner. I wasnt too impressed by our set up in the first half and leaving 2 of our 3 goal threats on the bench but it nearly worked out. Moults header was perfect and unstoppable where he put it. I wasnt in the least bit impressed with Rangers yesterday, hopefully neither was the manager or the players. Would really like to see us take the game to them on Saturday at Fir Park. Yes, we will leave ourselves open but i fancy we could take a good few off them if we go at them.
  7. Unlucky, last time i was there we battered them 3-1 and had a great party.
  8. Just rock up to the ground on match day. There will be plenty Rangers fans holding tickets in the air ready to punt them on. You'll have to sit in with them mind. You might even enjoy that......
  9. And our man has been ripping it up in the champions league as well!
  10. Or we give him a wee bump up and a contract extension under the understanding that both parties agree to go their separate ways when a suitable offer eventually comes in.....
  11. I've lived in hamiltom now for the last 7 years and more often than not when i go by on the train about 6pm (ish), the parks in use. No idea who by, but it is certainly well used. Certainly doubt the first team train in the evenings.
  12. Sitting with a pint, i fair enjoyed that last paragraph.
  13. Got to agree. As much as Lionel gets a rough time from our fans, his product and return dwarfs what Humphrey brought to the table. IMO
  14. Big Stall

    Mascots

Our resident taxi driver will no doubt be able to help us with that one
  15. Hasn't he signed an extension recently? If Rangers or anyone want him then they will have to pay up.
  16. Great game but gutted with the way it finished. We were excellent in first half and Celtic didnt really threaten us. That first Moult goal was beautiful. 2nd half a different story, they changed their formation and we seemed content to sit back and let them pick us apart. Thats a right kick in the baws. Only silver lining for me was sticking £2on Moult scoring 2 or more goals at 55/1!
  17. Just checked out the survey, without wanting to sound like a taxi driver, I do a lot of public and stakeholder engagement in my line of work. I’m not going to rubbish the guys survey, but I don’t fancy analysing that. Four big, wide ranging open questions may be worthwhile as an add on, but he’s not going to get much useable data out of it. He can certainly get some ideas of things to take forward but theres going to be no metrics there, no real quantitative understanding of current satisfaction levels amongst the fans, no idea of what is good and what is bad, nothing to track performance over time if he chooses to do another one next year. Maybe he has a specific plan he wants to follow and ideas to explore so I’ll leave it at that. I’ve filled it in anyway. Good luck to the guy, I really hope we didn’t pay a consultant a lot of £££ for that…….
  18. Serious question. Where are all these reports that he doesn't want to be at the club? Certainly in his first stint in charge the flirting with Scotland, Hearts, bigging up the Celtic job were all there. Has he actually done any of this since he came back? I must have missed it.
  19. See, im not sure i agree with that. McGhee finally found a team and a system, might as well keep them on the park as long as possible, build the confidence and let them play. What if he brings on a couple of ringers, it messes the system, we let in a couple and the confidence takes a big dent. I think on this occassion he did the right thing. Once we have put a few wins together and the team are going well, then yes, bring the boys in at the appropriate times. Today, keep them on the field and build that confidence and understanding.
  20. Lionel, but Lucas and Cadden were really good as well.
  21. Great reaction, great performance, great 3 points. Ok the opposition were not the best but we were head and shoulders above where we have been all season. Hate to say it, but we seemed better without Lasley in the middle. Lionel, yes he can be hit or miss but really grabbed his chance today even though he was playing on the left. Hopefully he keeps it up. Cadden was again very impressive. Lucas looks a player, and young mcmillan did well again. Moult and Skippy got to work through the middle without having to worry about going wide to accomodate Bowman. All very good. Barring injuries, McGhee really needs to start that team next week. *I wont complain if he changes the keeper.
  22. Keeper aside the line up doesn't look too bad. Cadden gets a chance to make centre mid his own. Best two strikers at the club playing. Lionel getting his shot too. He really needs to step up and grab this chance. Thought we looked better once he came on on Wed, ok its not hard to get better than shite. Good to see mcmillan keep his spot.
  23. Is this a thing? I've not spent much time on Steelmenonline this season so this is first I'm reading it. If that is in anyway, shape or form true then he really needs hunted. And I say that as someone who usually supports McGhee.
