  1. Great game but gutted with the way it finished. We were excellent in first half and Celtic didnt really threaten us. That first Moult goal was beautiful. 2nd half a different story, they changed their formation and we seemed content to sit back and let them pick us apart. Thats a right kick in the baws. Only silver lining for me was sticking £2on Moult scoring 2 or more goals at 55/1!
  2. Just checked out the survey, without wanting to sound like a taxi driver, I do a lot of public and stakeholder engagement in my line of work. I’m not going to rubbish the guys survey, but I don’t fancy analysing that. Four big, wide ranging open questions may be worthwhile as an add on, but he’s not going to get much useable data out of it. He can certainly get some ideas of things to take forward but theres going to be no metrics there, no real quantitative understanding of current satisfaction levels amongst the fans, no idea of what is good and what is bad, nothing to track performance over time if he chooses to do another one next year. Maybe he has a specific plan he wants to follow and ideas to explore so I’ll leave it at that. I’ve filled it in anyway. Good luck to the guy, I really hope we didn’t pay a consultant a lot of £££ for that…….
  3. Serious question. Where are all these reports that he doesn't want to be at the club? Certainly in his first stint in charge the flirting with Scotland, Hearts, bigging up the Celtic job were all there. Has he actually done any of this since he came back? I must have missed it.
  4. See, im not sure i agree with that. McGhee finally found a team and a system, might as well keep them on the park as long as possible, build the confidence and let them play. What if he brings on a couple of ringers, it messes the system, we let in a couple and the confidence takes a big dent. I think on this occassion he did the right thing. Once we have put a few wins together and the team are going well, then yes, bring the boys in at the appropriate times. Today, keep them on the field and build that confidence and understanding.
  5. Lionel, but Lucas and Cadden were really good as well.
  6. Great reaction, great performance, great 3 points. Ok the opposition were not the best but we were head and shoulders above where we have been all season. Hate to say it, but we seemed better without Lasley in the middle. Lionel, yes he can be hit or miss but really grabbed his chance today even though he was playing on the left. Hopefully he keeps it up. Cadden was again very impressive. Lucas looks a player, and young mcmillan did well again. Moult and Skippy got to work through the middle without having to worry about going wide to accomodate Bowman. All very good. Barring injuries, McGhee really needs to start that team next week. *I wont complain if he changes the keeper.
  7. Keeper aside the line up doesn't look too bad. Cadden gets a chance to make centre mid his own. Best two strikers at the club playing. Lionel getting his shot too. He really needs to step up and grab this chance. Thought we looked better once he came on on Wed, ok its not hard to get better than shite. Good to see mcmillan keep his spot.
  8. Is this a thing? I've not spent much time on Steelmenonline this season so this is first I'm reading it. If that is in anyway, shape or form true then he really needs hunted. And I say that as someone who usually supports McGhee.
  9. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but isn't the insinuation that the Albo 10 are the 'I'm a better fan than you brigade?
  10. What about folk that vandalise club property in the name of high jinx? No recognition for them either
  11. Ssn just anounced belic season long loan
  12. Ah well, fair enough. Just home and switched it on.
  13. Skysports news just flashed up that McGhee says we have NOT recieved any new bids for Marvin
  14. It was only a few weeks ago we were doing the same against East Stirling.....
  15. Didnt he quit twitter two years ago?
  16. Apart from all the games he came off the bench and set up the goals.
  17. I was told today (no idea if its true), that Thistle have offered Hutchy a contract. If we can't match Thistles wages then it must be bad.
  18. Hutchy is easily better than any central defender we have at the moment. Yes, he had his moments of crazyness, but I would have him in before any of our current defenders. Doubt we can afford him though.
  19. A boy sitting behind me yesterday was saying to his mate he was off to Hibs. Whether theres any truth to that, no idea
  20. Boro will be in the premier league next season. As much as i like Ripley, i don't see him ready to be an EPL number 1yet.
  21. Found a bar in the algarve with it on, most of the punters are 'well fans. Happy days. Now just need a few 'well goals....
  22. Have we got any fans going? Half the thread are missing this. I'll be watching from a bar in the Algarve. Mon the 'well!
  23. Im a big Ainsworth fan, but it looks to me that McGhee is trying to get him to work as part of this fluid front three and maybe Lionel just isn't cut out for it. My view is that unless we are going to stick him on the right wing and play balls infront of him, then really, theres no point in bringing him on. Saying that, even when it looks as though he's not doing much, more often than not he still is the guy who provides the assist, whether from a cross or a corner.
  24. I did notice the lack of Willie Miller post match and thought it was amusing. Usually on my drive home there is at least 15 minutes of Miller dribbling away about Aberdeen. Saturday night it was lucky if it was two minutes!
