The Rangers V Motherwell Spfl Playoff Final 28/05/15
Big Stall replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
BBC report is nice to read that Skippy isn't as much of a shitehawk as some of our fans! Experienced striker Scott McDonald was also given a weekend break, watching the Thistle game from the dugout. "It's the one I wanted," said the former Celtic player. "I'm thoroughly looking forward to it. "I've not played in anything as big as this for a long time and I relish the challenge." Thats the sort of attitude we need! -
Bollocks, it will be much better. Helicopter Sunday was us winning a game which we then got to rub it in Celtics faces that we stopped them winning the league. If we beat Rangers this time, it is our win, it's us who benefits, not the other arse cheek!

The Rangers V Motherwell Spfl Playoff Final 28/05/15
Big Stall replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
See if it wasn't rangers, with all of their baggage and it was some random team who happened to finish third in the second tier of Scottish football, would you really be saying that?? Lets hope our players are not as big shitebags. Aside from Lasley, Hammill and Sutton, most of our team wont have the experience of being regularly hammered by this mob. You can also bet that Skippy, Pearo and McManus wont be in any mood to lie down to them. -
Been told from someone in football down south that Randolph was one of the better keepers in that league.
-
Rangers weakness is their defence, much like ours. We however have real weapons on the flanks in the shape of Ainsworth and Johnson. If they both turn up and we have a go, we could do them some real damage. Anyway, this is all a bit premature, we could still be facing Hibs next week.

Season Tickets 2015/16 *** Topics Merged ***
Big Stall replied to Toxteth O'Grady's topic in Club Chat
I share the surprise/disappointment that prices won't be reduced if we go down, but taking the question at face value, what is the new owner supposed to say? The reality is, regardless of what league we are in, if you can't afford a season ticket, you don't buy one. Perhaps Les was a bit blunt with the answer, but the answer was a common sense reply none the less. -
People see things differently. I thought Queens made Rangers look good as they sat off them for so long. Once Rangers got the equaliser and Queens had a go it was corner after corner. That Rangers team are there to be got at. If Marvin and Lionell were on their game and we actually set up to attack, we would cause them all kinds of problems. Our defence is probably just as shite as theres sadly, maybe worse.

As bad as we have been this season, if any of our players watched Rangers v Queens today and are bricking it from that side, they should be shown the door right now.

He was pretty pish when he played to be fair and with Ainsworth, Johnson and Dom Thomas, we have wide options. No great loss
-
I've not listened to it again, but when I heard it lastnight, I took it to mean that from when he got everything in position off and on the field. I haven't tried the sums but I assumed that meant after the transfer window so maybe 1st Feb?

No point worrying about the nightmare scenario just yet anyway. Its dependant upon the result in 3games. How many times does the average punter get a treble up?? Lets concentrate on winning on Saturday. If both RC and Kilmarnock do the same then fair play to them. For what its worth, i don't see all three teams winning this weekend.

Behave yourself. We won't be down, we might be heading for the playoffs but certainly not down!
-
if his point 6 comes true, it would be a championship with us, hibs, rangers, st midden, Morton and Falkirk
-
Well i hate to burst your bubble, but just think back to three games a month or so ago spanning March into April.
-
Not really, if we get beat on Sat we are still in a battle to ensure we at least get that playoff spot.
-
Starting to calm down now, or maybe malaise has set in. At the end of January i wanted Barraclough out, a complete imposter is what i thought. Then, credit to him, Feb and March he turned things around. Even ignoring our positive results, the football on show was such an improvement on what we had seen all season. We were a threat and actually had a go at teams. First half last night we certainly didnt hit the heights, but we had 4-5 really good chances. Luck didnt favour us, on another night we would have went in at 3-1 up. Thats got to be encouraging given we were not firing 100%. However........ the shambles we saw in the second half once accies had scored was shocking. Our players were hiding from the ball, they had chucked it and given we are in a relegation fight this is very troubling. Balls need booted after lastnight. I dont want us to get relegated but the least i expect from the team is that if we are going down (12th or into the playoffs) we fight and give 100% up to the final whistle. I doubt any one of our team could look themselves in the mirror and say they did that lastnight.

Hope so. Chances are I should be back in time. Worst case scenario I'll at least have made the train to Glasgow by kickoff and can watch it in a pub.
-
Do we know if there will be a pay at the gate option? I'm working in Aberdeen during the day (should) make it back in time, but don't want to shell out for a ticket just incase.......
-
Look on the brightside, we would be fucking legends if we were the team that beat Rangers in the playoffs and kept them down
-
Its a bit of a cliche that every week we seem to be looking at 'the biggest game of the season', but this really is one of them. Win and we effectivly relegate St Mirren. Lose and they are right back in the fight to avoid 12th place!
-
From what iv been told, Ross County haven't been that good football wise, but they are obviously picking up the wins. Perhaps a combination of determination and confidence. Hopefully their bottle crashes soon......
-
Lionel, wasn't going to vote for him as I thought he was shite in the first half, but........ once that goal went in he was unstoppable. Watching the extended highlights helps see what he can do. Great goal, great finish for the second and then when he started running at their defence he had them everytime. A couple of close attempts, one bad pass when he put in a lung bursting run from our box. He was on fire in the second half. Would love to have seen the wee man hit that pen. The way he can put the laces through it he would put the keeper through the net.

First half I thought it was the worst of our four recent 'revived' performances. Not bad, and certainly miles better than the rest of the season, but not as good as the last three. Second half, much better. We really need to be keeping our foot on the gas, I hope Barraclough and the senior players drill it into the rest of them that they can't relax. We are playing well but with the way Ross County and Thistle are picking up points, we are literally in the fight of our lives. Lionel, what a conundrum he is. I thought he was terrible in the first half, indeed I said after 17 minutes we should just get him off now, he's no use when he's not at the races. What a turn around second half, and when he really got the bit between his teeth he was probably unplayable. We need him stepping up that side of his game big time. OK, he's not going to score 35 yard pearlers everyweek but when he has his eye in and starts running at teams with pace he is some weapon. Special mention to 'big straker'. I along with many others here have given him stick but credit where its due, the boy played well. Onwards and upwards, need to rack up some points.
