Josh law was much better than usual today IMO
-
Played really good in tbe first half and losing Lawson really affected us. Whether he was the difference or United stepped it up im not sure, but reid doesnt offer the range of passing to link the midfield and attack as lawson does. Second half it was all United. Dan played a stormer today and didnt deserve to be on the losing team. Really, while im dissapointed to be out the cup, im only angry at Kenny Black. To think about bringing kerr on for a defender at 1-1 was bad enough signaling he was happy to take a draw. They score, we are heading out the cup with 5mins to go and still bring him on when we have attacking options in Ainsworth and Thomas on the bench is unforgivable! Also, as much as Josh Law is shite, he was actually half decent today.

Whats the point in getting a new manager and then he gets punted a week later if we get new ownership?? Imagine we had appointed McKinley, and then the South Americans took over, poor guy would be lucky to get his 3 game run with us. The board are doing this correctly, Black can handle the ship until we get ownership sorted out, at which point whoever is running the club can put a manager in place who supports whatever their ambition for the club might be.
-
Do you really not 'get' the phrase??
-
I can't imagine we are considering him. Potential future owners might be but i doubt the current group are after him
-
Was he bullying as well?
-
I said when McCall resigned that Malky would be an outstanding appointment if we could get him. Not convinced we could but if he was at all interested, the board should at least sound him out. Would expect he would be able to get some good loan deals in. Plenty managers thought he got a tough deal under Tan.

Rather Calderwood than Adams but don't want either. Adams plays drab, defensive football (not something thats going to entice fans to Fir Park). He's also a moaning face wee runt who will always find someone to blame for a defeat be it the ref, linesmen, pitch, dirty opposition tactics, you name it. While some of our fans might not have appreciated McCalls nicey nicey approach in interviews, at least he was able able to be the bigger man and accept that sometimes you are beaten by a better team. From what i've seen, Adams doesnt have the ability/class call it whatever you want to take a defeat on the chin.

While I agree with you, theres no money to be made conventionally, if, they had a steady stream of reasonably gifted South American players and were succesful in using us as a staging post for getting them into the EPL, there could be decent money there. Obviously dependant upon the quality of the players. Remember South American football is not run the same way as it is here. Very often players are owned by individuals or groups of individuals. See Tevez!

And the fact he's still punting motors in Stockport should silence most thoughts that he is Morinho2.0

Im not quite in the vigurs love in yet, but there was a good 2minute spell that included flicks, back heels & a cruyff turn that was very impressive to watch. With a good, confident team built around him he could be a player
-
Ojamma for me, thought he was buzzing everywhere tonight.
-
Im not confident about tonight either but i dont think we are as bad as you make out. A slip on the grass caused us to lose the last two games. If things were going for us we were due a draw minimum in both. I would suggest we were probably the better team in both games. We certainly were not setting the heather alight, and didnt look like destroying anyone but im not convinced our form is too far away

Can't expect too much from this game, lost 5 on the spin, dressing room in disarray and playing one of the better teams in the league. Probably means we'll turn it on! So when we are 3-0 up and cruising after 35 minutes, does the drum kick in and the full stadium stand for a rendition of 'We are all, Stuart McCall'?
-
Did he play? I could be wrong about this but I seem to remember he was scheduled to play and then at the last minute pulled out? Probably after noting what the reaction would be amongst our support? I could be entirely wrong about this.
-
Don't forget the ones who obviously had questionable allegiances and went on to play for the old firm.......

Butcher was fine at putting the fear into the young lads we had at the time and getting them playing. He was what we needed at the time. His approach would go down like a lead balloon with Lasley, Hammill, Vigours, Sutton et all. And whilst some might think that is no bad thing, we certainly require these guys to get us out of the mess we are currently in. None of the above even takes into account we should have been relegated under his watch, and he managed to get a Hibs team with significant resources relegated last season. He wouldn't be my choice.
-
I haven't really paid attention to Billy Starks performances with under 21s, but when someone resigns from a safe job when theres another job available...... Of course, it might just be coincidence
-
Maybe reading too much into it, but Lasley hasn't put anything on twitter about it yet which given he's usually quite active on there, struck me as a bit strange.
-
I don't think anyone can disagree with you on that one, particularly at this moment in time. Original point still stands, we are halfway there, although will need to pick up a spot in the league.
-
Blah blah blah, I support the team just fine mate. Who am i saying i told you so too? Someone pipes up the cup doesn't matter this season, i gently remind them that apparantly it really does, because thats all we read on here all summer. If you can't recognise that, then perhaps you too are one of the bellends in our support.
-
'accept it' for something that has only happened 3 times in 128 years. Tough crowd we'v got.
-
Well given we wont get a good league finish, those people are still half way towards what they wished for. Bellend.
-
Of course it matters, half the bellends on these boards wanted a cup run and a shite league season. Well their half way there.....

Butcher, relegated with hibs, and should have relegated us if it wasnt for falkirks stadium, adams, a moanimg shite, mcgoo walked out on us, broon did so as well and is director at aberdeen. All the names on mcbookie are lazy punts. If you look at Mcghee, gannon, broon, mccall, none of them were active and in the frame in scotland when we got them. I would expect another surprising appointment. From the other names flashed about on this thread, I would expect Coyle and Malky McKay to be pipe dreams, but if Malky was available and looking at it i would take him in a heart beat. Young, ambitious, forward thinking manager, talks very well, experience at a far higher level. Obviously he made some distasteful remarks a while back but everyone deserves a second chance. Also, he has said very complimentary things about McCall and Motherwell in the last few years. Pipe dream i know, but would be a good appointment. Really hope its not Derek Adams!!
