Not pretty to watch, but not as bad as some of our performances this season. The most important thing today was the win so no real complaints. We really are missing people who can drive forward from midfield with the ball and make things happen. Law and Ojamma could both do that. Now we are overly reliant on the ball over the top, and if the team we are playing against are half competant at defending then we are in bother. I thought Faddy was shite and offered very little. He did try and get on the ball which is encouraging but he's slower than a week in the jail and on days like today when the silky skills are not paying off then he might as well be sitting on the bench. What he does bring to the team& i noticed it last season is a 'mouthy bastard who wants to ref the game himself'. This is actually refreshing for us to have someone the refs are scared of after years of Scott Brown and Steven Naismith doing it against us. Ainsworth - dont want to say hes shite but he wasnt at it today. Next weekend might be a problem if we are missing Hutch, Hammy and Ramsden. Regardless of my moans, well chuffed with the 3points. Hard fought victory. Onwards and upwards mon the 'well!

If I don't come up to get my prize its not because I don't want to shake your hand, its because I'll be at the game! On second thoughts given we witnessed the 'well pump Celtic twice last season, some dinner, a bevy and watching the Rangers fans squirm at the jokes might be a better plan.

Pish, gents dinner and presentation of prizes at the golf course that night. After dinner speaker a certain Sydney Devine!

Wasnt he on the deck before he even got to it? The touch when he slid into it? I'll need to watch it again.
-
Im not sure if we can blame him for the 2nd. Pishin rain, heavy pass back, he slipped. I would expect every player on the pitch will slip today, just a shame his slip led to a goal.

Cant say im excited by that line up, maybe picked with an eye on wednesday & maybe also due to the weather. I hope im wrong but i really dont think Boabs got it in him. Come on Boab, grab a hat trick today and shut me up

To be honest, I said to the guys around me at the tail end of the first half I thought Vigours was a passenger. Fair play he did step it up in the second. Also thought that while ZFA was having a mare, he looked knackered early doors.

I would much rather have a real go at them and get beat by 4 goals, than turn up and play for a draw only to lose narrowly. Saying that, I don't know if our team is ready to be a slick gung ho attacking force just yet. Might have to wait another couple of months for those gears to kick in.

Aberdeen felt our arse last month, but we were shite. As good as we made Aberdeen look that day, our team from the tail end of last season would have wiped the floor with them. Obviously there were easier opponents but lets face it, its a team that have averaged 8th place in the league the last 4years we are up against, not Real Madrid! On our day we can beat them, on theirs they can beat us. Should be a good game. I liked mccalls statement lastnight, "anyone at home!" Bring them on, we are due a cup win over them anyway!

Ok, had a look, maybe he didnt get that much game time. Still pish tho!
-
Didnt he play Europe and the first 2/3 games this season?? Wasnt he pish? Regardless, i hope he scores a good few goals tonight and the boys give the 10burds went tae bed song a run out

Urelated to kit manufacture but something i was wondering about this morning, anyone have any educated guesses as to how much our main sponser stumps up for the front of the shirt deal? I have no idea.

Is it worthwhile getting the club to ask upfront if the drum is allowed in? If not, fuck them, open the cooper. Im pretty sure i've heard that the head of security at Tannadice got his jotters at the end of last season so things might have changed.

Im not on scudbook either, I just googled it and it worked fine. I was posting from my phone so I couldn't put a or even after it.

Cant you just type 'police scotland facebook' into google or do you want everyone to cook your dinner for you too??
-
Awe naw!

Everytime he scored an OG he was a cunt!

Aberdeen no doubt.

Is anier only 6months? I thought we had him for the season

Looks like the PNE fans are finding the same problems with Humphrey as we did...... http://www.pne-online.net/forum/showthread.php?82538-The-Humphrey-conundrum

Whilst no-one is going to bring an old firm esque support, I would have thought Morton would bring a half decent following. Playing well the last few seasons, not too far for them to travel, distinct possibility of an upset. Saying that, I've never been to Cappilowe so I'd prefer them away. Edit - Must have posted that at the same time as the draw. Away to Livi is decent enough.

^ Good going forward but not as good as Dunfermline evidently

Some real positives to take from the game, we were so much better in the first half than we have been this season. We pressed high up the pitch, gave thistle no time to settle on the ball, looked to actually create chances and play football as opposed to the long ball tactics of the last few games. Second half however was reverting back to type which was worrying. Anyone who thinks it was only the last 20mins or after we lost carswell is off their head. Yes we got even worse in the last 20mins but right from kickoff in in the 2nd Thistle came out fighting and really went at us. Still, we got 45 minutes of improved football and 3points so it was a good day. Other positives: - Hollis clean sheet -Ramsden pushing forward - Carwell very assured in CM - A goal that wasnt from a long ball I was impressed in the 2nd half with Thistles left back with the double name. Not sure if he was any good at defending but he certainly wasn't afraid of getting forward.

So Mark, wheres all these English clubs that want yer boy....... http://www.dailyreco...ell-son-1956283 * Still, got to say if he hasn't burned his bridges with the team and McCall, and we have budget, I would have him back. IMO.

I wouldnt mind as much if we were giving teams a game and just being beaten because of dodgy decisions/bad luck. But..... neither of which is the case. We have been god awful, bereft of ideas, creativity& to be honest, ability.
