Crowd For Ibrox - League Cup Game
Big Stall replied to walking down the Fir Park's topic in Club Chat
Im quite a few pints to the wind & haven't done my maths but im pretty sure your talking shite! -
I would expect he see's they have not sold many tickets, he wants to maximise ticket sales so he's trying to say Motherwell are not the bad guys and we are in it together with them and shouldn't be subjected to a boycott. Fuck him!

^ My mate sent me the link 5 mins ago..... CHARLES GREEN has insisted that Motherwell will be warmly welcomed to Ibrox next week because he believes they were pressured into voting against Rangers getting back into the SPL. The Fir Park men – who lead the Premier League right now – come to Ibrox on Wednesday in the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup. It will be Rangers’ first meeting with an SPL side since the summer vote to exclude them from the top flight was cast. However, although Motherwell were one of the teams to vote “no” Green says he believes they were cajoled into the decision. Speaking exclusively to RangersTV he said: “We have seen and heard lots of hypotheses on radio, in newspapers and on TV and we understand fans’ feelings “But what fans have to understand is what occurred at Hampden over our SPL status when 10 clubs voted against and one abstained. “Ally and I sat there and we know what happened. We know that only half of those clubs wanted Rangers out of that league. “I believe that a number of the clubs were bounced into it. “Why, for example, would Ross County spend all their life-time trying to get into the Premier League to find Rangers were not there? It’s inconceivable. “But we understand what happened and we know the reasons behind it. We understand we have to suffer the punishment for the sins of the fore-fathers and we have done that. “What we have to understand is not everyone in that room wanted Rangers out of that league and I know –because I could glints in eyes – which ones were happy and which ones were not. “We recognise what happened and when some of these clubs come to Ibrox they will be welcome. When others come, they won’t be so welcome. “We know that Rangers are bigger than all of this so we ask the fans to get behind the club as they have done so well. “I want them out there at the Motherwell game cheering, singing and waving the flags. “Motherwell are a club who are suffering financially because Rangers are not in the SPL and we don’t believe that Motherwell are anti-Rangers. “We believe that there was pressure; they were under pressure from their own fans and they took a decision and we understand that. “If you had taken all of these external pressures away then Motherwell and other clubs would have voted differently.” http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/2235-well-are-welcome

You know, when you think about it, having as many out of contract players may turn out to be a master stroke by the club. We all know that the TV deal seems to be settled for this season, although the money has not come through yet. There are stories out there about X amount being available in the future if Rangers get back in, and Y amount if they are still stuck playing low level stuff. If reorganisation does not happen, and if it turns out that TV deals really are under threat without the great unwashed, having half the team out of contract will not be the worst thing in the world. Sure, we won't be able to get value for them, but we also won't be left with £28k of wages per week when we only get x% of that in the door. TV deals are all scare stories, and so far the shit has not hit the fan. Long may it continue. A softly softly approach however may see us through.

Agree with this! Until the SPL 11 sort out the distribution of tv money, there is a massive pot available for finishing second. If the clubs don't look to rail road Celtic, and there is a chance we could nab that second spot, then there is no sense in selling the crown jewels in January for knock down prices.

He's knocked Aberdeen back twice this summer but its not stopping them trying again

Seems like everyone thinks we are going to hump them! Wheres MJC to give this thread some balance?

Those quotes that youcancallmejohn pulled off a Rangers forum just show the mentality of some of these idiots. I would love one of them to be stupid enough to start advocating some kind of riot or violence, only to be met with a knock on the door from Mr Plodd. The two Rangers fans I work with have just told me tickets are going to be £15, ideal. Definatley try and get along to that. Incidentally, the two guys in question whilst they have their own demons (being Rangers fans) they generally laugh just as much as the rest of us at the online lunatics. They pointed out a thread to me this morning on RM, apparantly EA Sports have excluded Rangers from the new release of FIFA. Seems reasonable enough since they won't include the rest of the SFL. The RM board was having a melt down. This is my particular favourite....... This is an absolute disgrace. The complaints the Celtic fans made in their thousands over the summer about our "apparent inclusion" seem to have paid off. Shame on EA pandering to the filth. People not into computers will laugh this off and claim it means nothing, nothing could be further from the truth, this is massive. Any statements from EA on why the worlds most successful and one of their biggest customer bases have been excluded? -

The rangers boys at work have said they have had 2 pay at the gate games at ibrox this season. Proper money at the turnstyle, not buy a ticket at the office on the night -

I fancy going. Usually I get offered plenty of free tickets to sit in the Rangers end. After years of paying £25 to watch us get humped and and no real opportunity to shout/sing, I started taking the tickets a couple of years ago. Given our performances at Ibrox, its a reasonable enough concession to get to watch the game for free. However....... not a fucking chance I'll be in the Rangers end this time! Bring them on! Might even cancel any work meetings for the next day incase the voice isn't working by the end. -
Just had a look at the thread in question on RM, 4pages in & not one of the idiots have clocked its the away stand!! To be fair, some of my sane minded Rangers mates have long since said it really is a collection of mongo's that post on it all day. Makes this place look like a mensa convention in comparison!

Sevco, newco or whatever they are called, may well be struggling in div 3, but make no mistake, their players and fans will be treating a tie against SPL opposition as a cup final and going at it 100%. Theres also the small matter of our capitulation to Rangers, you could put 11 school dinner ladies on the field in Rangers jerseys and they would probably beat us 4-0! Im happy enough to build our own momentum in the league and cups, leave others to play both half of the old firm. We can take them down in the latter stages if we have to.

I know he doesn't get 100% adoration on these boards but I think we would really miss Hatley if he was off. He might not be the best RB we have ever had, but he's solid, dependable and consistent. I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of the first names on McCalls team sheet every week. * The above opinion is in relation to Tam Hately Right Back, not Tam Hately midfielder. ** However you want to spell his surname!

You know we were 1-0 down when you posted that??
-
Hope Dazzers not listening to this commentary. Crags..... "We all know Chris Humphrey can change a game, we all know he's got potential, unfortunately their are huge question marks over other parts of his game!"
-
Mine is working, its half time, they'v flicked over to Anfield. It will be back for the 2nd half.
-
Sounds encouraging, come on 'well, intae them! 45 minutes of blood and thunder please!
-
If we win 3-1 wouldnt we go through on away goals??
-
I'de probably be dead if I won it, spent it myself and the wife found out further down the line
-
Got me there, just looked on my open bets, its 2500/1! Get in!
-
Some throw away change on tonights game. Very little chance of it coming up so minimum investment, but since my normal, well thought out Saturday investments return heehaw, I might as well give this a shot. Motherwell to win 3-0 - 500/1. £1 Motherwell to qualify through pens - 500/1. £1 Ojamma to score first and Motherwell to win 3-0 - £225/1. £1 Captain Keith to score anytime 22/1. £1.
-
I heard the moaning c**t that sits behind me in the east saying, 'That Ojamma's fucking lazy at times!' I had my head in my hands at that point
-
Seems Coventry fans think he's one of the best 11! http://www.skybluest...n-everyone-play Probably should be in the other fitbaw section, but hopefully the mod's will leave it here to get Dazzers attention.

Dazzer, shut the fuck up. Our best opportunity of the game last Thursday was when Humphrey beat his man down the wing, there was four Motherwell players bombing it into the box and he passed it straight to the keeper! Humphry is a good player for us, but wouldn't get in the Coventry first team with your man Jennoe and certainly won't play many games at Celtic. I actually hope we keep him if £200k is all thats on offer, however one of the benefits of selling him would be not reading your constant drivel about the boy!
