Randolph, followed by Law and Humphrey.
  2. Great game, shite result! Absolutley pulsating cup tie, end to end, both teams could have won by quite a few goals. I'de like to think we were the better team, but saying that, Randy had to pull off quite a number of great saves. Our defence was terrible, both goals resulting from errors. When did we decide passing it back to the keeper for him to hoof it up the park was a better idea the defenders just booting it themselves?? First 10 minutes I thought we were poor and in for a drubbing, our confidence was clearly down and we looked to be picking up where we left off on Saturday. Credit to the boys though, they got back in there and played much better. I thought we had 3 stand out players lastnight, Law, Humphrey and Randolph. If Humphrey can develop some kind of consistency and deliver on that level week in week out, he will quickly turn into our main weapon and a fans favourite.
  3. Given that Im happy enough to come on these boards and say he's pish when he is, its only fair to say Humphrey had a great game lastnight. One of our better players. Hopefully he can develop some consistency now!
  4. Based on what? 10 minutes of dross on Saturday?
  5. Come on, just say it........... He was pish on Saturday!
  6. Not yet a Higdon basher, but the problem I have with him is that he doesn't seem to bother to try and jump to win his headers. He stands there expecting the ball to land on his head, all the while the defenders jump for it and win it. He was pish at the weekend, but so were the rest of the team.
  7. It would maybe be harsh to call him pish 100% of the time, but he was certainly pish yesterday, as were the rest of the team!

    Big Hutchie

If he comes back in 5 weeks then thats fantastic news. I've said it before, but mine looked identical to that and I was properly fucked. Mon the 'well physio!!
  9. Im pretty sure we do try. Just not succesfully!
  10. We Motherwell fans really are a bunch of moaning bastards. Top6, cup final, clear in third place. Obviously none of that is quite good enough so lets moan about something else. If we were to ever win the league, we would probably be moaning about not being able to win the Champions League! Get a grip!!

    Big Hutchie

Aye, thats what mine looked like. Not good. He won't be playing for a while anyway.

    Big Hutchie

Its definitely a big blow, Hutchie is a cracking player for us and when needed, is probably the one guy in the team that can hit someone hard. He's posted a picture of his ankle on twitter, doesn't look good. I ruptured my ankle ligaments a few years back playing fives, it swelled up like that, and then went black. Was out of footballing type action for at least 4 months. Saying that, Im not a professional athlete, nor did I have access to physio's etc, so you would expect he's going to heal much quicker than me. Hopefully its just a bad sprain or something. Hope the big man gets back soon!
  13. I can't even bring myself to read the majority of this thread. Lets look at the bigger picture. 1 - McCall came in when the team was looking like going into free fall. He got us top 6 and a cup final. That is success in our book period! 2 - After 7 games into the new season we are sitting clear in third place, we have already played both the ugly sisters, and aside from Dundee United we have relative cannon fodder still to play in this quarter so fingers and baws crossed, wood touched we might get 25% of the season in at 3rd place. 3 - We are actually playing good football, certainly a step up from Brown. We look like we have goal threats all over the pitch and whilst we all know it, Radio Scotland acknowledged yesterday that in terms of starting 11, we are good enough to take on anyone outwith the old firm. 4 - We are never going to beat the old firm over the course of the season, so do I really care if we get pumped by them 9 times out of 10? Not really, what is far more important to us is our performance against the other 9 teams!. Any points gained against the old firm should be viewed as a bonus, and it just goes to show the mentality of the football fan that despite us doing so well on the pitch at the moment, some folk still find something to greet about. And as for the statistics presented in the first post, the reality is that there is not much to differentiate McCall from the rest of the managers analysed. A couple of good results this season and he will probably be top in those stats.
  14. Apart from it being a nice gesture by Faddy if true, one added bonus is it will get it right up those dellusional Aberdeen fans who thought McFadden was going to sign for them. He won't sign for Broon and his big team, but he'll happilly give the 'well £25k out of his skyrocket! Outstanding!
  15. Given the fact the Celtic stewards are killjoys bastards, is it maybe wise for the singing lads and perhaps even MFC to contact Celtic beforehand, let them know about the drum and the atmosphere at the last few away games? Surely the club will help where possible, especially given McCall drawing attention to how good the drum is. Would be a real kick in the baws for it to be confiscated and 'lost' by some jobsworth.
  16. I've got to say that while I fully understand the requirement to sell our players on for a fee, (thats how we have to work), I would be more than a little dissapointed to lose anyone in this window given the start we have had. Really want to see how this season could go with these lads. Saying that, selling one or more of them at least gives us a good excuse for when it all goes pearshaped.
  17. I won't be slaughtering your opinion, but I don't see how you can talk about our two unknown youth players McHugh and Smith in a positive fashion but dismiss every other teams unknown youth players. Whilst I don't know fuck all about the other teams youth squads, I certainly think they will be able to rival Boab and Smith.
  18. I like Humphrey, when he is on his game he is both a valuable attacking weapon for us, and also a pressure release valve, he can move the ball from our box to the opposition byline very quickly which helps when we are under pressure. However, when he's not on his game/doesn't fancy knocking the ball past his man/forgets he isn't technically gifted etc etc, he is shite - like he has been the last few games. Hopefully, he will come out of this slump quickly, a confident Humphrey, full of form, bombing down our wing will scare any team we are due to play this season.
  19. JOB flattered to decieve, but unlike Humphrey, he could actually beat a man. He was also pretty good at winning us penalties.
  20. Just because its Clyde in the wee cup, doesnt mean we should be playing the young team in an Arsenal styleee. Get the real team in their, win the game, preferably with a good few goals for the confidence. Make changes once the game is won. I would however be tempted to play Law in midfield linking with the attack. Thought he looked cracking in there against 10 man Hearts.
  21. Thats what I thought as well reading this place lastnight. Totally forgot that McCall got us top 6, a cup final and technically joint top of the league after 5 games.
  22. Personally thought Hately was our best player today and Humphrey was shocking. Everyone's got different opinions right enough but Humphrey needs a wee spell on the bench.......
  23. Don't agree with you at all mate. At the end of the day, no matter how bad a state they are in, they have still won the league three seasons on the spin, still have umpteen international players, probably the best player in the league in Jelavic, etc etc. Look at us, we have had a blistering start, but we have no real striking options and our squad is threadbare. He's right, to beat them we do need them to have an off day.
