A guy sitting across from me has just read out something on 'Rangers rumours' or something along those lines saying they are after John Sutton and have been told we value him at £200k! As much as I think Sutton does a great job for us, I think it's a sad indightment of the state of Scottish football if the old firm are in for him. Porter, the Juke, yes, but Sutton?? Hopefully its not true and we can get him signed back up.

And he still managed to score our only goal that day! The boy has got real potential.

Lets just hope in the light of the Sun branding Goodwillie a rapist, that Rangers don't change targets to another Scotland under 21 striker.

I want him to play Hutchy soon. I want to know if he really is as good as we all remember/wished he was, or if the grass is always greener. I thought back in Gannons time that he really was a star in the making. I know he's been injured and he's had crags and reynolds infront of him. But i am starting to think that if he was as good as we thought, he would have been able to shove his way into the reckoning. Lets see what the boy can do. If we can't fit him in at the back, send him upfront with Sutton.

Radio just announced same money but longer deal. Fair play to him. Job security and all that, not many of us in the real world can argue with that.

If he's good enough then fair enough, but I haven't seen enough of him to judge. Saying that, I don't want to see everyone get games 'just because' they came through our youth set up. I think I've saw every senior game Boab 'shags the birds' has been involved in, and while Im happy to say he might be a prospect eventually, I haven't seen anything (yet) to suggest he is going to be what we need upfront. Infact, I would rather see what Cassagoldust can offer us.

I dont see a problem in signing an out an out left winger. Yes, there will be certain games that we can't afford the luxury of two wingers, but there will also be plenty of games that Lasley and Jennings can more than cope in the centre allowing us to exploit down either flank. A left winger would be a very valuable addition to our squad. IMO.

To be honest, I think there both shite. The main difference is that if the team plays the correct balls, i.e knock it past the defender for Humphrey to run, then he will thrive and destroy teams. Gow on the other hand, I have no idea what the team have to do to get anything out of him. Maybe he's one of these mythical creatures you read about on here (aka forbes) that he's too gifted for the rough and tumble of the SPL.

When McCall turns into the managerial legend we all hope, with his Rangers history its not Aberdeen we are going to have to worry about when McCoist fucks up in the next few years!

As much as I like it, in reality the OF probably deserve a bigger whack than the rest of us due to the fact the 4 old firm games are what the TV companies are paying for. PS - If he does end up at Aberdeen then its pretty apparant he's going because of Brown, and we can take it as read that had Brown not been a 'sleekit wee c**t' we would have retained Blackman for the season. PPS- Hopefully he tells the old bastard to take a hike and he comes back to hit 20 goals in the season for us!

I don't see anything official reported anywhere. Hopefully its just Keevins and co going off on one. Give the boy a chance until he's officially an Aberdeen player. The facts are that we are stronger with Blackman in the team/squad, as will Aberdeen be.

You would rather play someone who the previous management brought in but have obviously had second thoughts about hence his lack of game time (when fit), than a player who has been key to any success we have had this season and has 10 goals in the bank??

Whats the contract situation with the three of them? I thought they were out of contract as of yesterday? Or do they run until the end of January?

Pulled off a cracker of a save from Muphy deep into the second half, but that's about it. We were shite!! Sutton was much better than Gow. Not really much else to add, it was a dire game. Hamilton played their usual game and we were too shite to take the game to them. Hopefully McCall can fire them up.

I see where you are coming from, but in reality, it is normal to list the biggest clubs. I would expect had we appointed Nicky Butt, we would be reading about former Manchester United legend. And forgot all about Newcastle, Birmingham City and South China. At the end of the day, his biggest achievements were with Rangers and Scotland, the press and punters up here will most associate him with those two aspects. I don't really see the problem. All the best McCall. I am yet to be convinced, but will support you until you do something to deserve otherwise!

Many Condolences

Don't usually engage in all the usual, someone told me something pish but what the fuck..... Was just told by someone who was speaking to someone in the know at the club, that we'v got burst pipes in the South Stand. Dependant on how bad it is, boxing day game might not be able to happen. Would be interesting to see (if true) how the press react to it, and compare this reaction with Rangers burst pipes last weekend.

That would be the same game where we got a very 'fortunate' penalty! no??
