  1. While we'r at it, when your looking for a goal, bring on Hutchy!!
  2. Im not suggesting we punt him or anything. All im saying is he shouldnt be played upfront. Personally I'de have him as an impact sub, and bring him on to play on the right wing.
  3. Just like nam, you weren't there dude, you werent there! I can't be arsed but I would bet a hefty chunk that were I to dig through the archives and find the match thread, you will have been posting from across the pond. Put quite simply, Humphrey was atrocious in that position. Add into the fact that in all the games I have watched him in (which is far more that you will have seen ) the one thing he is even worse at than crossing, is getting his foot through the ball. Now being able to hit a shot is a key skill for an attacker so I would quite happily say no. Keep him on the wing to try and stretch the game. I should point out though that I do think there would be merit on standing him on the half way line when we are defending corners, any big punt up the park with him running onto it would have an opposition defence in disarray. Full time upfront - no thanks.
  4. You weren't there. You didnt see how dire he actually was. Saying that, admitedly the whole team were shite that night, including the manager.
  5. He was shocking when we tried it against St Mirren last season!
  6. Yep, me too. We need a player who can run at better teams than Breidilbank, and make things happen!
  7. At the end of the day, a wins a win, and we cant really ask for more than a win and keeping a clean sheet in our first game. Were we impressive? No. I was quite surprised when I got in the car after the game and heard the radio say we should have won it out the park. Don't get me wrong, Im delighted to have won but I didn't see anything to suggest we are going to be having a great season…… just yet. Last night for me showed we are short of a striker and more importantly a player who can run at teams and open things up a bit, a JOB. Just a shame Slane sold out, as he would have been an ideal replacement. The pitch looked fantastic, and whilst it did early doors last season, big slide tackles would always result in cavernous divots being excavated from the pitch. That wasn't the case lastnight which was very good to see. Finally, what went on with the seat numbers in row F in the east stand? Either there has been a mess up with new number stickers or they have added in 4 extra seats. I sit in the row behind, and watching everyone struggle to find their seats, which had just been moved 4 spaces away was funny to start with, but as the game went on and more and more punters came in it really started to frustrate.

    South Stand

Hard to please. Personaly I'll be happy walking away from FP tonight with a win.
  9. Given the level of panty wetting in both this thread and any other related to Fir Park, the new sponser Leeann has hinted at has got to be............... RIGHTMOVE!
  10. Its not a new development though.
  11. In my opinion, this should be the clubs number 1 target. How much bonus money do we earn for finishing reasonably high in the league? Compare that with shelling out a couple of hundred grand every season to get the pitch fixed, plus all the other embarrasment, potential injuries and players potentially not signing that can all be attributed to our pitch.
  12. Deemed not good enough for a division1 team so he should be fine for the SPL and European participation?
  13. If we are not on our game, we could have a very barron festive period as well!
  14. Sadly, most of us have seen Jack Ross though.
  15. I think some posters here have to wind their necks in. A fucking man u player?? Very good. Yes we got a couple of boys from Everton this year but its not like that happens every year does it. I think a good bit of that was down to Gannon. And yes as someone mentioned. Just because you can get a good young player up from man u, when your playing on your computer, doesnt mean it works like that in real life!
  16. I'de have to give him performance related access rights dependant on how many goals he scores.
  17. I've just bought a new house, move to Hamilton next month. Would be quality if the big man was across the road.......... unless he shagged ma burd obviously! Seriously though, someone says an estate agent says...... sounds about as reliable as a taxi driver says or bustanuts wednesday afternoon shampoo and colour says!
  18. Nah, I'll manage fine waiting for official announcements and watching the panty wetters on here decide certain players are away......until they sign 3 year contracts. Its more fun that way.
  19. Got to love the on internet message boards as people allude to others or perhaps delude themselves they have some degree of importance.
  20. So Gordon Young picked up a bargain from his holidays, lets hope Archie Knox can do the same........... Also, can the mole hurry up and get to work on the status of the Everton lads. Preferably in the positive!
  21. Nah, it was fine last year even up to and including boxing day. It wasnt until the weather and the supposedly professional groundsman took their tole before it turned into the WW1 battlefield.
  22. Simple really. I don't rate the guy as a footballer, although he is better than McGarry ever was. We have managed fine without him this season, and to be honest I can't see him getting a regular place in the side anyway when fit. Squad player at best, but as others have pointed out we have youngsters getting promoted who can take the role of squad players. Nothing personal, I don't pretend to know the guy, I dont have anything against him, I just don't think he can cut the mustard.

    Season Tickets

Interestingly, how would you have felt if you had waited in the half hour queue, got to the front, then someone phones up and the wee bird just does their ticket over the phone, ignoring you?? No doubt there would have been the outrage in this thread!
  24. Amazing that the majority here appear to have forgotten that Fizy was essentially the 11th best regular, in Mark McGhee's team.
