For a few different reasons that was my first game since Sligo at home qnd wow, what a turnaround. Forget the scoreline, it was great to see us going forward with intent, attacking, making things happen and even when not in possession, really pushing up on ICT. Our players actually look like they know what they are doing and it was enjoyable to watch. It must be enjoyable for them as well without us all shouting at them. The shape went to pot with all the subs but the game was done by then. Could we have won that under GA? Possibly, but it certainly wouldnt have been pretty or even comfortable. We would have sat back a bit and made ICT look good. Tonight, we never gave them that chance.

Aarons first appearance for us was very positive and full of promise. He only got a handful of appearances after that and was sent packing due to the covid issue so i don't think we should be rushing to judge him just yet. When everything was shut down but before the season was officially called, i did see him out training himself at the palace grounds on quite a few occasions. Speed work, bands, bag of balls. The guy was obviously trying to keep himself in shape/sharp which is encouraging. Given that GA shipped out all of our width and pace, then Aarons certainly brings us something we don't have. Hopefully going to be a good addition to the team.

Im far from in the know, so could be completely wrong here but I would be shocked if we are paying anyone £4k per week. Let alone adding another three at that level.
-
A win here would put us 11 clear of Killie and probably Dundee United (as they play Celtic). While it's very early doors, that is a pretty good safety net for the time being.
-
And given that we don't really have any anymore, and all the ones we did have last year were both (shite and punted out), this is really encouraging. The fact that he is a 'well fan and will be busting a guy both for us and to try get himself established at Leeds is a win win rather than some of the low level journeyman we have had in the last few seasons. This could be a very exciting move for us.

I'm certainly more optimistic about our chances after that Aberdeen result, but maybe we need to wait to see the effect for a few games. Were we really good or were Aberdeen really shite? If we can keep up the level of improvement we saw, and make it count over the next three matches then we should hopefully have a good idea of our trajectory this season.

The official press release makes impressive reading. If he's as good as that makes it out to be then we have won a watch here. All the best Stevie!

Given that we all rightly expect a scudding here, it would be superb if we done them over! Maybe even some of our 2017 Thunderdome tactics to really stick it to Willie Miller and co. Mon the 'well!

In reality, we needed 10 new faces at the end of last season. Except for Kelly, the rest really have no business in the first team. The fact that GA felt he only needed to add 2or 3 shows how much of a fucking diddy he is. Ps.. i rarely if ever agree with yodo
-
No idea if Hammil would be good or bad, but he certainly came across well in his pre and post match interviews.
-
Daily Record is saying we are lining up a return for Robinson.... As bad as that might be, imagine the comedy gold from @Yodo on here were it to happen....
-
Get him out now, there is still time for a new guy to bring in at least a couple of fresh faces and he can have the full season to make things work. GA is going to get sacked sometime in the next 6 months so may as well do it now and limit the damage.

Only one team trying to play football and its not us. Get Alexander to fuck. Hopefully this is the straw that breaks the camels back for the board, the players and even the optimists on here. * still would love us to score 3 in the nxt 45 tho
-
And a competent manager
-
Most fans also recognise that our starting 11 is horrifically short on quality. Keeper aside.
-
With GA and no new signings then at best 10th sadly
-
The limited signings suggest otherwise
-
Pretty sure we had more than 3 wins in 7 months though when we played Llanelli......
-
Well, based on the performances since the turn of the year, we needed 10 new signings. Each for outfield positions. Alexanders problems are not his attitude or his jumpers, really who cares about that? Its that he sets up his teams not to lose, but sadly they aren't good enough to do that. When we go behind, we have absolutely nothing to offer in an attacking sense. The biggest issue is that for some reason he doesn't recognise this and keeps attempting the same rubbish over and over and over again. And now based on the summer comings and goings, he is expecting us to pivot a counter attack with zero pace. God help us.......

Did you see any of our games since the turn of the year?? -
Iv never been one of the boo boys in all the years this site has been going but honestly, as far as i can see, we are going one way with this guy and really, punting him now/afew weeks time, is going to give the next guy the majority of the season to work with. I honestly dont see any sceanario he's not sacked so we may as well do it before panic stations set in

So we begin the season, full house, fancy new pitch & fancy strips....... sadly the crap we sent out onto the pitch was the same as last season. Really, can anyone be surprised given we have only brought in 3 players to supplement last seasons imposters! The manager, tactics and bulk of the team remain the same. You can be an Alexander fan or a hater, but the facts are that doing the same thing over & over again but expecting different results is madness! As for the game, the first half hour we had no urgency, we let Sligo play and made them look handy. Mugabi helped them out but after they scored we seemed to up the effort for 10minutes, we were all over them. At that point i had some hope. Sadly the second half was a brutal shitfest and we could play all night and not break them down. Lasley mustv been sitting in the main stand thinking thank fuck his new mob (who are umder pressure already) have us in the first game of the season. The only hope i have is that if we punt GA early enough we have plenty time to save the season. Plusses - pitch looked good, the boys display, only 1 gosl down, new bogs in the east stand Negatives - aside from the shite on the park, last seasons fancy new sound system didnt appear to be working/turned on. -
Ross McCormack..... Obviously the less said about him the better though

Are they holding ST seats for afew days or is it a free for all? Dont have an email saying they are reserved for a time period.
