  1. See when you grow up and you have a house, a mortgage, a family, etc to worry about in the midst of the worst recession in recent history, then maybe you'll start to see some sense.
  2. Yip, I bought mine about a month ago, I think it was the day of the hearts game. Shame I didnt know about this upcoming offer then. Bad timing I suppose.

Is Decorator a young Louis Walsh??
  4. It is quality, not only is Brown busy working on renewing contracts, Archie has first established the Rangers 9 in a row mentality of winning together and drinking together by sending them down to the Cheltnam festival, he's also off to pinch some ideas off Barca! Sadly neither the Nou Camp nor the training pitch is reminicant of our crater filled battleground or Dalziel Park!
  5. I think we should qualify this thread by remembering that Motherwell Football Club also backed Yaas to the hilt! Fraser, whether he's competant on not, is not a patch on John Ruddy. End of!
  6. Actually, by and large Dundee United have been absolutley dross since their purple patch in the 80's. I don't think they have finished higher than 5th since the formation of the new look SPL, and that has only really been since Levein took over. Time will tell if the guy has left a legacy and if Thomsons son is as bad as chosing managers as his father was. Word is they are shafted in terms of debts (not as bad as Hearts and Killie mind), so I wouldnt be surprised to see them dropping down to the yo-yo type status we supposedly enjoy.
  7. Quality read on the 'fishal and an honory mention should go to the picture of Faddy behind Jennings, complete with red stripe!
  8. I was in the main stand as well lastnight, at least I got a padded seat and comp ticket for my troubles. From where we were sitting we had a great view of the 3 gilt edged chances St Mirren missed. We were really lucky to get out of jail. While we could maybe say we shaded the match in terms of play, we certainly didnt have chances like that. We could easily be sat here lamenting a 3-0 pumping. At the end of the day though, we are not the old firm. A point away from home is not 2 points dropped. If we keep winning our home games and drawing away, we will be in a great position come the end of the season. Mon the 'well and lets hump the FHW!
  9. For all the supposed we'v done no bad against them in the league chat, I can't remember the last time I have actually seen us win away against them. I think it would have been thegame that DLS came off the bench and scored, and that might even have been in the cup!! I've got a comp tonight, so hopefully I'll be sitting on my hands with a big smile on my face if/when the 'well fans get to celebrate!
  10. Unless Birmingham want him when Hart goes to West Ham.
  11. This was reported last Friday in one of the red top rags. I think theres some discussion of it in the Ruddy to Rangers thread.
  12. Added to that point, the minute the accies game was called off due to the pipes in the stand, the covers should have been removed and heating switched off. IMO!
  13. To be honest I dont have a problem with them frisking the fans etc. But they need to find a way to go about the operation more efficiently. The way they worked it on Saturday, there was no need for any more than 2 turnstyles to be in operation, because it took so long for security to do their job the 2 closest turnstyles had cleared anyway. Also, there was about 8 of them standing there having a confab like jumped up bouncers at a nightclub, with less than half of them actually doing any security screening. It was a farce! Maybe not the goals of it, but certainly the methods.
  14. And why does it take 8 security guards to stop us getting in, and wat is the point in having 6-8? working turnstyles, when said security guards are only letting punters through on a 1 by 1 basis. Also heard reports of the security guards and turnstyle operators having a barny with each other. Farce!
  15. You dont need to be that good to play for Scotland though.
  16. Whilst I agree with you that we do have a great deal of amatuer groundsmen on here, including myself. I think we are all a bit pissed off that another amatuer groundsmen - Craig Brown, appears to know more about the subject than our head groundsman!
  17. To be honest, no. Take last Wednesday night as an example. The Papac incident happened right infront of me, albeit 7 rows in front. The whole stand goes mental as we should, but........ a few fannies including the baldy dude can't contain themselves and go right to the front venting like derranged banshee's. Now whilst the guy looked out of control, at least he was able to stay on the right side of the wall. Whats going to happen when the crowd are boozed up?? Sadly, I don't think the Scottish culture and fitbaw can co-exist in the ground together.
  18. Its a stupid article, to suggest that it's Motherwells fault for playing by the rules, whilst essentially admitting the linesman messed up but the decision isn't really his fault, ludicrous!
  19. I think getting top 6 would be a great achievment. Do I think we could get 4th? Yes. Do I think we will? Not sure.
  20. I've been quite critical of the groundstaff on here in recent weeks, and I do think they probably should shoulder some of the blame for the current nick, but from what I seen last night, that wasn't caused by a tractor driving over it. There was no substance to the pitch, nothing holding it together it was like playing on a beach with some green shoots through it. A tracter might mess the thing up, but it certainly doesnt alter the composition of the entire surface.
  21. I still want to know how our manager knows that pitch covers kill grass but our groundsman doesn't!!!
  22. Why do only 'experienced' and supposedly the best refs get to officiate old firm games, when there is no such entry requirement for a game between the likes of Motherwell and St Mirren? Do Rangers and Celtic have a greater need of reliable ref's than we do? Do they get more points than the rest of us for a win?? NO!!
