I think it was blatantly obvious the other night that no matter how much of a trier he is, or how nice a guy he may be, but he just doesnt have the skill nor quickness of thought to play a role in this team. He's out his depth with Forbes, Coke, Hately, JOB. He doesnt offer us anything different and im afraid to say it, just not good enough.

If Hutch is fit i'de bring him back into the fold. Saunders has done exceptionally well, far better than I would ever have thought, but I think Hutch is the better player, and of course he's got a goal threat. In fact scratch that, leave Saunders and Reynolds at the back and get Hutch up front!

^Pretty good going there, they got 1,2,3 and 5 right!

Very strange game last night, nae atmosphere and no urgency from the players. We kept the ball well in the first half and stepped it up a little in extra time. However if the plan was to play the retention football, I would rather we came out the traps and leathered them for the 1st half hour and then moved to the passing retaining game when we were comfortably ahead. We lost some soft goals, but the truth is we were always the far better team. Saying that, if it had went to pens then we’d probably have got pumped out. Yaaaass was emence I thought. The big Pole was a diddy. Laugh of the night was when the boy a few rows behind me pointed out that Gannon was making it 10 a side by bringing on McGarry for JOB. Also, got my text question read out on Clyde Super Scoreboard, asked Broadfoot if he stood by his prediction of us getting relegated. He said no, and was impressed by our young team, but then said he thought ICT would beat us. Haha Broadfoot, wrong again. Right up yi!

Enough of this clarcky nonsense. The guy was a great player and would do well in this team, but he woudnt be in infront of Ports upfront. Gannon plays Sutton or the Pole upfront. Neither of which are in clarkys mould. Granted he was landed with sutton, but he had the summer to find a striker to run about like a maddy if thats what he was after. He chose not to get one of them, or even bring in one of the boys upfront with boundless energy and give them instructions to be a clarky Mk2. Instead he's made it clear Sutton is 1st choice, and we all know that in every single aspect, Sutton is a poor mans Porter. Wheres the tin hats?

I think hibs will be good this season. Noone else in the league (not even the old firm) boasts two strikers with the potential to hit 15-20 goals a piece each. If they shore up at the back, they have the firepower to be challengers for 3rd place

Nah, thats my mate, who also posts here. But im usually present when the shenanigans are on going.

Tell P2BAA pogo says "PUMPED!" Also, interesting to note he thought Coke was the best player on the pitch but the majority on here thought it was his worst game for us. Maybe you lot were lucky we didnt tear you a new one like we have done in each of the last two seasons!

Whilst I fully understand that this is our best chance of silverwear, at the risk of sounding like an OF fan, I would quite happily take a draw or even defeat tomorrow night if it meant that any notions of being better than we are, picked up from our great start, are kicked out of our system before the next league encounter next season. But lets pump them 5-0. Get the stikers fireing and set them off on a run of goals ready to carry into the next run of league games!

Wasn't it Yaas that put in the blinder cross against Rangers that Coke just narrowly headed over? And for the record, I'de have Porter in the team before Clarkson any day of the week!

Lets just take it one game at a time. There will come the time when the rub of the green doesn't go for us, injuries catch up etc etc, and when it happens, i just hope it doesnt get all the youngsters heads down. We can all dream and it would be a great dream, but lets just give this team a chance to keep putting some points up on the board before we have them down as the next 'team that was' To answer the question though, Rangers and Celtic truelly are poor at the moment. Watching the Stutgart game on Wednesday I was of the opinion that we had given Rangers too much respect last weekend. Neither of that mob deserve that respect. McLeans team would have won the league against the current old firm opposition no bother. What we would need is a huge amount of luck to avoid the injuries etc, Gannon to continue playing a blinder, and Boyle backing Gannon all the way by not selling the players in January. Fortunatley it looks like the refs are starting to play fair so its one less thing to worry about. What a dream it would be.......

I dont think we can claim to be British champions until we beat Rangers on Saturday. How many other teams have ever had a chance to take on champions of England and Scotland in a week?
-
Good stuff, now lets get Hutch, Slaney and the rest, round the table as well!
-
He's no a h*n though!
-
I would guess that us, 'the wee diddy team' dont really come into it in the SPL's thinking. Although many would disagree, McDonald is rated as one of the better refs, and this is a TV game involving the old firm. I think that has probably more to do with it than whether he's reffed us this season. On the plus side, we haven't lost with him on the park this season yet....
-
Naw, that was the lips excuse. He's changed it now though.
-
At fighting? Jeez, we haven't even seen this new right back yet, and yer judgeing him already!
-
I'de take Porter back in a heart beat.
-
I know that hence the ^ which related to the other 5 posts on the subject. I still reckon we are going to be the first team to get beat by them this season.
-
^ I fully expect us to be the first team to get beaten by the accies this year!
-
Keevins has just invited any of 'the morons' guilty of the chanting, to phone up super scoreboard now and tell him the justification.
-
I dont know. Ive been impressed with how far up the pitch reynolds gets when he's playing left back, and I don't just mean when he's got the ball and coming forward. He seems to have more of a license to get up there and make himself available to join in the play. I would expect to see him score a couple of goals this season if he plays that role on a more regular basis.

And here I thought we went two months unbeaten in the league at the start of 2009
