If we win 4-0, it won't be the last time we see the 'well in Europe for 20 years.

I read it that Muzz was hoping to keep it quiet, and trying to get that message over to Frazzle. Then he gave up and called him a fanny, for not keeping shtum??
-
Or option 3 - a couple of fannies posting on the internet??

Its what the kids call Tennents Lager, old yin. Watch it again though, he had the clear opportunity to whip that ball in, but takes it down, dilly dallys about and ends up running into the steaua player. Takes it off him, ball go's up the park, goal.

I dont agree with the McGarry part, because he is royally pish!! As for my earlier post, i didnt mean we should have been beating them, I actually think 3-0 away is a fairly respectable score against Steaua, and to be honest, Steaua were better than I expected. My main point was that from what I've seen of the new guys (keeper excluded) none of them have seemed like stand outs to me. And Humphreys in particular has shown nothing. Hopefully that changes though.

Ok, maybe i had too many TL's the night in daniels but...... Last week I thought Jennings had a quiet game and I wasn't that impressed with the boy Humphreys. Tonight i thought Jennings was average with the rest of the team, Humphreys was pish poor. Sorry, he was. In my opinion him trying to skin the boy rather than hurl that easy cross in first time led to the 2nd goal. Coke. Did he play? Was that him that blazed the rebound over after our big chance? I'll be interested to see them play when they are a bit up to speed with the rest of the squad. At the moment I am worried that the boss has underestimated Scottish football and thought a group of choppers from down south can cut it. The keeper was good though!

Youd have thought they could have done their research, we pumped dundee united the last few times wev played them, and conincidentally, our record win came against them.

15-20million euro's. We'll destroy you wih our team of galactico's.............

Surely not Bobby Jenks? The guys an institution.

I do think though that the young protege's like Slane and Forbes need to be put on longer contracts. Getting 100k for Slane now would be gross incompetance when he can be kept for a couple of seasons to shine in the team and command a hopefully Faddy like fee in a few years.

So folk like you could come on and have something to moan about too!

I think Weeyins spot on. What we did late June/early July with the firesale is going to be replicated across the other clubs sooner rather than later. We are in the enviable position of having dealt with it early and have the full close season to bring in the new boys. Having a manager who moves quick in the transfer market has also been key. I thought at the start of July we were really going to be up against it this season to avoid a relegation dog fight. With the manager, new signings and the talent of the youngsters Im quite optimistic. Whilst I dont expect us to romp to top of the diddy league, I think we could easily finish top 8 and out of any serious trouble. It will then give us a good platform for next season, unless of course celtic come in next season and take Gannon, Slane et all.

Its in the Aberdeen Evening Express that he's now demanding talks with Aberdeen directors about how much money he's getting to spend.

Spot on.

Ive used mine in Malaysia, Indonesia, Borneo, Thailand......... Im pretty sure you'll have no problem in Romania.

Can we just hurry up and buy a keeper!! After the euphoria of lastnight and the expectation we are going to be a hungry pacey side this season, I'de hate to see us struggle purely because we have a half wit standing between the sticks. He's worse at dealing with crosses than Buzz for fcuks sake! At least Buzz was happy to shout at his defence and a great shot stopper. This boy appears to be able to kick, and thats it!
-
Love it! Are you sure you aren't from Scotland??
-
Is it real though? Remember Keevins said he had signed for Hearts last week.........

A British passport holds a lot of weight in so many countries and provides you a level of protection your average johnny foreigner citizen wouldnt get, and much easier entry to so many countries. Probably to do with the empire all those years ago. If you have done any independant travelling to 'out there' places, you can see the reactions on the faces of the folks at the various passport control stations when you pull out that British passport. I have no idea why some people give up their passports or attempt to punt them on. Its one of your most valuable possesions. Anyways, imagine what the team at Pie and Bovril would have to say if the cheats, fluked their way into europe for playing clean football, and then cheated their opponents out of the competition due to visa requirements.

Agree 100%! I pay Motherwell for the pleasure, sometimes displeasure of watching them. My career pays the bills, pays my season ticket, golf membership, holidays, beer tokens etc etc. Theres no comparison. You do your job first and foremost.

Aside from the editorial aspect which others have mentioned, the guys got a job to do. Why should anyone cover up the facts, we'r not revisionists like Celtic or Rangers. Fact of the matter is that some aspects of our support are scum bags, just like any other club. Pretending it didnt happen or sweeping it under the carpet would do no good what so ever. At least this way, any future trouble makers will see the assailants life bans from Fir Park and hopefully take it as a warning. Did the reporter mis report anything? No. Basically he did his job and arseholes on a forum being judgemental over someone legitimatley earning a crust is just pathetic.
-
Aye, they'l keep the brand new ones for the season and give you the one McGarry wore last week instead.
-
Hopefully JG moves fast and gets it tied up. The last thing we need is for Villa, or more likely Rangers or Celtic to see the Beeb gossip pages and gazump us.

I really hope, and doubt what the Lip is saying. I just dont believe that John Boyle and his team could be so amatuerish when it comes to finance, as to not bother dotting the eyes and crossing the t's. This is the guy who has been running the financial side of the club at least, in the black for the last 5 years now. Regardless of credit checks, i would also doubt any decent company these days ever enters into any significant contracts without checking out the insurance policies and liabilities of their partners. Sometimes these things happen and you get bitten on the arse. Did Nick Leeson check out before everything went tits up? Woolworths, almost General Motors etc etc. For the record Lip, i thought your aversion to Canterburry was the type of kits they produce for the Scotland rugby team and the amount of kiwi's on it? I can't remember you raising questions as to the financial liabilities of the company.

I couldnt get to Wales (had to attend a wedding the next day), so had to make do with watching it on S4C with BBC Scotland commentary on the wireless. Anyway, the commentator suggested that Slane would be an ideal option as the second striker. I'de quite like to see that myself, been impressed with the lad in the two occassions I've seen him now, and lets face it, McGarry is fucking mince!
