  1. Big Stall

    Dazzler

To be honest I think he's pish. Sorry, but thats what I think. Saying that, we don't exactly have much cover and if we start getting rid of the pish like him and McGarry then we are really going to be struggling for numbers.
  2. Aye, it wont be roasting!
  3. And he was also the stand out player in the last two games he played for Scotland, you know the ones where this forums favourite son Clarcky was almost used as a time wasting sub in injury time.
  4. Is it the old guy that sits in the east stand with the huge tash and sideys?? Whoever it was it is shocking and out of order. One question though, if the radio, tv, fans and if you read this thread the club, know all about it. Then how come the official Albania press release says there was no reports of any trouble last night? Does trouble only relate to fighting with opposing fans?
  5. Fuck it, im confident. Saving my money and annual leave for our third round clash with Roma!
  6. Doubt it, would you really want to stay at Motherwell and get paid 1-2k per week or move to the championship and get 10k a week? Its a no brainer, even if Morinho was Motherwell manager, money talks.
  7. I think you need to engage your brain and read and understand the posts before you shoot your mouth off pal. The post prior to mine suggested we wouldnt have been better with Quinn, Hughes and Clarky in the team. I believe we would have. Quinn is a better player than Saunders regardless of whether he wants to play or not. Hughes can thread passes through the middle and put his foot on the ball, while clarcky would have ran that back 4 ragged. Ball control or not (and i happen to agree with your beach ball assesment of the guy) he would have worked that back 4, certainly providing them a bit more excercise than the imobile John Sutton. You will also notice I haven't once critisised JG, infact in another thread I praised the guy for having the balls to take senior players off who were playing poorly and leave the kids on. I don't understand your point on Slane? Did you not think he was a stand out performer? Perhaps you know him personally and know him to be a fanny? I don't see how saying, 'he looked a good player lastnight' can be questioned.
  8. Quinns far better than Saunders is - one day Saunders may be a player but right now he's not, he's certainly not big enough to handle spl week in week out. Last night he didnt play well and was literally hiding from the ball as time went on. Hughes would have made the midfield tick a bit more and hopefully threaded a few more passes through up front, while Clarcky would have ran the part timers back line ragged. So while we could still be piss poor with them in the team, I think they would all have given us a good bit more to work with. I dont know all the young lads faces or even numbers yet but the one that stuck out for me as a real prospect was Slane. Unlike the poster earlier, i don't know the boy or know if he is a bawbag or not, but he looked like a good player lastnight. -McGarry can fuck right off back to St Mirren. -O'Brien shouldnt be shouting at the youngsters when its him that fucks up -We should not be resorting to long balls at all, especially not after 30 minutes against a pub team - Craigan, Hammil and Reynolds all offenders. - Sutton, i dont even know where to begin with that c**t - Finally the c***s at Canterburry who designed the keeper tap, shorts and socks, and the arseholes at fir park who sanctioned it should be the first ones Gannon puts out the door the morra.
  9. What impressed me about Gannon lastnight was that he wasn't feart to take the 'big' players off when they were playing shite. Lasley was as bad as I've seen him and O'Brian was pish, regardless of the number of times someone gave him the ball. And the bollocking he gave Saunders when it was actuially O'Briens overhit pass, was inexcuasable. Saunders didnt play well to be fair, but on that occasion, it wasn't the boys fault.
  10. I know what you mean but this week alone Clarky and Fletcher have went down south for decent sized fee's. If the lower leagues in England were a production line of that sort of talent then Cardif, Bristol and Burnley et all wouldnt keep coming up here.
  11. So far so good, im very impressed by this guy. My only worry is that he misunderestimates the SPL and thinks lower English league boys will run riot up here. Hopefully thats not going to happen and Jimbo will have us powering into Europe 3 seasons in a row!
  12. One of the bread-knifes best mates is getting married the next day. I have been told I have to attend. If the home leg score is tight and dependant on how much enthusiasm I can work up at our 8? outfield players, I may drive down and then attempt to come straight back after the match...... maybe.
  13. Gannon for me, without a doubt.
  14. Aye, you must be gutted at the moment, nae manager to moan about for at least 2 weeks!
  15. Mine came through the post on Monday. A bit valuable though to be sending unrecorded delivery surely?
  16. I've met Staunton before - years and years ago as he was coming towards the end of his time at Villa. Great player though he was, he came accross as a quiet polite and unassuming sort. Not the type of guy I would immediatley imagine to being a football manager.
  17. Then im glad your not John Boyle. I want the best possible success for Motherwell, and success starts with a good manager. If he's good enough to get punted onto a bigger club in a year or 2 years then it means we have had a succesful couple of seasons. I'll happily take 3rd and 7th and the manager offski than a couple of relegation battles with dross served up on the pitch thankyou very much.
  18. Looking at the names, and reading gannons thingy on wiki (admitedly the 1st ive heard of him) he would be my choice. Maybe a move to fir park to participate in europe and watch his managerial stock rise would appeal to him??
  19. Bit in bold, Where do you get that from? Do we even know if anyone has applied? Have you seen the cv's on John Boyles desk? I would personally think Sir Govan Ferguson would be the best candidate out there.
  20. McGhee wasn't the fans favourite then either though, Boyle pulled him out of nowhere, look how well he did. I'll happily not sour Nijholts star status in exchange for another manager of McGhee's calibre.
  21. Aye very good but a sample taken from those who have internet access, or at least those who choose to talk pish on the internet is not representative.
  22. Better whisper that, incase any of the Nijholt lovers hear you not towing the party line.
  23. Never said you did, was using it as an example. The point was the ridiculousness of it all, suggesting that the membership of this board (a tiny minority of all 'well fans) somehow translates to what all the fans want.
  24. Maybe this thread should say, he's the favourite amongst folk that post on the internet. I think saying he's the fans favourite based on a poll on steelmenonline is about as legitimate as the trust believing they speak for all 'well fans.
  25. Im sure a succesful business tycoon like Boyle knows a good bit about recruiting the right managers for his businesses, and a lot more than a mob of fannies on the internet. (Zoom excluded obviously)
