  1. I think he forgets he's never had competition at Motherwell. If we had any decent back up keeper buzz would have spent reasonable spells on the sidelines over the last few years with some of the calamities he has produced. Saying that, he has improved. His kicking is so much better than last season, if he could fix his ability to deal with high balls into the box he'd be a very good keeper. I'de like him to stay but its not the end of the world if he buggers off.
  2. I thought Sheridan was gash yesterday! Ive thought a good few times he doesnt look like he'l put his head or his body where it hurts and really commit himself to the cause. I think that half hearted shot that allowed the united defender time to get back and clear it off the line was further evidence of it.
  3. If thats the case, i hope they do the deal quickly behind the scenes. No press coverage saying McGhee wants to buy him etc etc which is only going to alert others.
  4. 1st day of the season we just bought them at Tynecastle. No problems with it at all. Had to go in the offices for them but the wummin was sitting with plenty spares obviously returned by Motherwell.
  5. Exactly mate. It was only what 3 months ago we were sitting third and about to embark on a run of games against the diddy teams. We were all expecting to be cruising and yet we ended up losing most and going bottom of the league at christmas. This one game at a time philosophy is working better imo.
  6. Third may well be a bridge too far but its not out of the question yet. McGhee says a draw is worthless to us on Wednesday and we are going to Tynecastle looking for a win. Good enough for me. Hearts are what 9 in front of us, and we have to play them twice........ For what its worth, if we get through the united game with our unbeaten record in 2009 still intact, i think we are going to be looking good for 3rd or 4th. Get beat in the next two games though the heads go down and we may struggle to keep in the top 6!
  7. No. Atmosphere is not limited to back and forth shouts between sets of fans. If the entire Motherwell support sang their hearts out the full game there would be a quality atmosphere, even if no away fans were present! Shouting 'fuck you ya wank' etc etc to the away fans is fun, we all sat in the corner of the east stand and did it when we were 13, but it is not 'creating an atmosphere.' The team create the atmosphere. When Motherwell are fireing on all cylinders and pumping either one of the old firm, there is an atmosphere in fir park
  8. Did last season work out fair to everyone? If not celtic dont have a leg to stand on. If it was fair, then surely the fixtures should just be the same, but swap hibs for hearts? Anyway, its all academic. Because there is definatley no guarantees who is going to be in the top 6 this year. Celtic outrage though is always funny. Lets hope the Motherwell - Celtic game can be Helicopter Sunday part 2! My final point, top 6 games occur in April and May. It is warmer than 5 degrees in those months hence the grass grows. Pitch arguaments by then will be over and done with........
  9. I don't usually listen to my old firm pals conspiracy theories but my rangers mate today told me he thinks the green light has been given by the media to push our park up the agenda. It takes the heat off Celtic winning 2 games from their last 5. 1 came after penalties and the other was against Queens Park............. Now I don't buy into any of that type of nonsense but my dundee united mate was at Pittodrie at the weekend and told me it was just as bad as ours, and yet we haven't read a thing about the sheeps pitch. Just sayin......... Maybe Cameron as much as he protests is really just an old firm apologist as well! Although the facts are probably more that the guy can't think for himself and has jumped on the bandwagon.

    Canterbury

Canterburry's traditional market is rugby euipment. Do you reckon they'v looked at our pitch and got mixed up........
  11. Who's gonna phone him? He's just put the invite out!
  12. Cameron? Cool, hopefully he reads this and wants to read out the things he said on air before, for starters how about....... McGhee to Hearts is a done deal..... Porter to Hearts is a done deal.....
  13. Course he can. Just ask Melvin Bragg to post a selection of his McGhee titbits, and you will see there is definatly 'well fans who would be glad to see the back of him.
  14. Aye, I've saw him and Michelle McManus in there on many an occasion. Sadly not together though.
  15. Daryll Broadfoot is a big Rangers man - FACT. His elevated position at the herald aside, he is still relativly young for a broadsheet football journo - FACT. As such he has to try and be a little controversial. Additionally, due to the fact he is a Rangers fan and that he writes for the Gasgow Herald, he has to be seen to pander to his Celtic readers as well. Next time i see him in the Shed in shawlands, I'll let him know his piece provoked some outrage on the internet. He'll piss himself!
  16. Thanks, See thats all that I really wanted to know.
  17. Not sure where the tone of the response comes from. You seem awful defensive. You lot openly publicised your group and aims on here over the last year or so. So why not tell us if and when your wee crew breaks up? You see, I haven't read any of that anywhere else so that's what I was enquiring about. However I would suggest that that reads as: "we cany be bothered being involved with a bunch of wee boys….." much like some of the 'well boys critics on here always thought. Not really, no.
  18. Fair enough, but whats happened to the 'well boys?? Surely Siebs plans for project mayhem against them hasn't shut them down already?
  19. Over the last couple of days I've read a couple of different posts saying the 'well boys are no longer a group etc. What happened? Whats going on? Everyone knows my good mate Sieb_Dykstras_Barmy_Army has a special relationship with the 'well boys. One I like to dig him about after a few jars. What has happened? Just so I that I can use up to date ammunition next time Im ripping it out him. Also, I noted some discontent from Frazzle towards the 'well boys. Have the Supporters Trust turned on a section of the support?
  20. Fuckin brilliant!!! And Buzz's celebrations getting it right up the south stand, more than made up for the way skippy celebrated at the east!
  21. Quinn was booked for not shutting the fuck up. McDonald had spoken to both of them, waved him away and Quinn couldnt stop nipping at the ref, culminating in him actually putting his elbow up on the refs shoulder. He was booked for being a wanker and not letting the matter go after he got his telling off! Saying that, it was good to see his celebration after the final whistle. Finally, I thought McCarthy was really good. I would have him in our team in a heart beat.
  22. “You should do it for all fans — I don’t think you should take a tenner off for one side and not the other. " Well nice to know you are worried about this now. Didnt bother saying anything at the time when we were planning charging the 9 'diddy' teams less than we were going to charge rangers and celtic!
  23. I was talking about his piece in the press 3 weeks before he signed, all about how happy he was at United, how settled he was and that money wasn't everything. A few days later........ its all about the benjamins
