I met Alan on a number of occasions when as our media man he used to cover our under 20's games at Bathgate. Down to earth guy and a Motherwell fan like us. Wasn't to sure when he got the general managers job (or whatever it's called), but he seems to be growing into it and as he says in his interview "he's made mistakes", but learned from them. What I really like is our open relationship between the club and fans. Refreshing.
So it's Robinson next season ,no my choice but I'm not going tae go on about it, getting behind him and the team next season. Hope I'm wrong ,I often am, have a good pre season lads...
Sometimes players sign and it's a good fit ,John Sutton comes to mind as a player who did a good job for Motherwell but struggled at other clubs, well Hearts anyway. Clancy from Killie fitted in well ,as did Higdon.
I've got no doubt whatsoever that if we stay up the powers that be will give Robbo the year left on his contract. Sorry but I foresee another season fighting relegation with a team of ex players and lower league duds, and Robinson in charge ...aye right.
Just my gut feeling that we will win and I think it will be good as it's a local derby ,both teams fighting relegation, decent crowd.Id go as far as saying it's the top fixture in the league this weekend.....
The biggest mistake we made was bringing Robinson back at all, looking at the big picture as a club were going nowhere with the present set up ,on and of the park. Shambles of a club.
Soon as we went one down I knew we were beat, were as predictable as that.
Only good thing was other results were kind to us.If were rubbish (which we are) and could get relegated this season, that logic must apply equally to others as well.
