A lot of people seem to like having a go at Higdon and Humphrey but today I thought they were absolutely brilliant ,Higdon with his wee flicks and knock ons and Humphrey with his blistering pace and pin point crossing were worth the admission price alone. I was fizzin when they took Chris off and brought on Omar ,fizzin a tell thee fizzin.

To say Motherwell fans are worse at dishing out abuse than other fans is one of the most stupid things Ive heard .Ive always found that it tends to be the same guys that dish out the verbal ,the supporter who was screaming abuse at Clarky 5 years ago is today screaming abuse at Higdon. Every club has them and I would bet percentage wise were no better or worse than any other club.Oh I and i would just like to add that we shouldn't be using words like mongos.

Pretty much how I thought it would go Aberdeen would have been delighted with a 0-0 scoreline and that's how they set out there stall, although it wasn't a great game or performance from Motherwell we were the only team trying to win the match and justice was done when McHugh grabbed the winner. Great way to end what has been a disappointing week for us. Thought Clancy had a decent game today but i'm going to give wee Boab motm for his goal.Im not Higdon's biggest fan but the guy is on a hiding to nothing the way hes being played at the moment. Aberdeen were poor but defended well and Constantine [or whatever hes called] was there best player.

Couldn't care less about Brooni and the Hardons ,they will likely come sit in and hit on the break and as we all know that's a scenario we struggle with .1-0 Motherwell will do me ,but 5-0 would be better.

According to mark benstead on twitter McCall is not planning on making any changes for the game tomorrow. McCall says they have watched the Hibs game a few times and that we played some excellent attacking football,BUT we need to improve defensively.

next round draw...st mirren v ayr...dundee unt v falkirk....hibs v celtic...killie v east fife. I know were not in it but thats it. And you would have to say the draw has been kind to the Premier clubs.

Wouldn't be surprised if some of our young players were looking elsewhere and why not they must be wondering if they will ever get there chance.

Good post wee g ,i just cant understand that when we have a player who's on a bad run or having an off day that we don't give the younger guys a chance .Forbes Pollock or Carswell in midfield ,Lawless Smith or McHugh up front, Page in defense .We have good youth system at Motherwell producing good players but if your not going to give them a chance whats the point.

0-0 draw with hearts at the end of last season was a game where we had to change the team and played a much more defensive minded team ,we did all right that day so mccall can change things when required ,and anyway motherwell at this time are a work in progress .

And i hope all this fun and excitement doesn't mask the fact that this was another piss poor result. Someone said on firparkcorner that this is what you get when you reward failure.The only people that like losing are losers.

A lot of really good crosses into the box tonight but no one on the end of things. So much of our best play is down the flanks then balls hit into the box but time and again there is no one there.

The last of our 3 home fixtures that we were hoping to win, we've lost tae st johnstone and hibs but expectations will be high for a win on Saturday against a team that had a howler of a result tonight.
