  2. My personal opinion [which aint worth much i know] is that Boyle will surprise us again .
  3. Perhaps some of the footballing gurus could enlighten me ,what club is the visionary Gannon plying his trade with at present ?
  4. The trip to Odense as it was my first Euro away match, the whole trip was great 2 days of all things Motherwell. Met a few posters who i only knew by name from this forum as well which was good.
  5. In his first years at Motherwell McLean had no cash whatsoever e.g selling Mauchlin and McAllister just to keep the club afloat. Anyway its not going to happen weeyin .
  6. +1 anyone knows about working with nothing its the wee man ,if boring Broon can be brought out of mothballs then so can Tommy.
  7. He doesn't mention McDonald by name either Ricky it could be someone else ,but you would have to assume it was McDonald .
  8. Found this about Dave Penney. Not the most sophisticated of tacticians, Penney is a hands-on type and a superb man-manager who could be compared to the likes of Josà Mourinho in that he commands an extraordinary amount of loyalty and respect from his players. However, it is worth noting that, unlike Mourinho, Penney is almost universally liked in the world of football, and can call the likes of Kevin Keegan, Steve McClaren (who was reputed to have considered Penney as a candidate for the England U-21 job a role in which I feel he would have succeeded) and Chris Kamara his friends. 9. My take on this is that although individuals might be ruling themselves out of the job it doesn't necessarily mean they have been offered it. We want and need someone who is prepared to step up to the plate anyway not some shite bag who's no up for the challenge.
  10. scott burns is a well fan he also has this to say . .Motherwell also interviewed a foreign managerial candidate before the Rangers game.
  11. Now now Bob you specifically said Sam Allardyce would be in charge for todays game. Or did I read it wrong.
  12. Where is Bop by the way he seemed to have all the info the other night..........................Not.
  13. Well that was a dire dire performance today in every way ,I cant take one positive from that display ,we didn't have one player today that would get pass marks. I'm not going to mention any individuals but some players just ain't good enough to play for Motherwell f.c. I can understand anyone looking at our squad at present then being told by J.B that no money is available for players and having second thoughts about being our gaffer.
  14. To be honest I cant see what this guy has that makes him a stand out choice ,54 years old and apart from a brief stint as caretaker manager at Sunderland has no managerial experience at all. I'm not saying I dont want him as our manager but hes not the be all and end all of the search.
  15. I would imagine if things ain't sorted out today it will be next week before we appoint a new manager.
  16. Ricky Sbragia has emerged as Motherwell’s main target to be their new manager. The 54-year-old Scot currently works as Sunderland’s chief scout, having previously been boss. It is believed Well chief executive Leeann Dempster is working hard to land him before Sunday’s game with Rangers. from the glasgow evening times
  17. I must be Martin Oneill and John Robertson.
  18. I wont push you for a name Bop but has J.B going to surprise us again .
  19. Stubbs said: “I would never rule the Motherwell job out because I had a lot of good times in Scotland. “There has been a bit of talk about the vacancy there and senior management is definitely something I want to get into. “But I’m currently the reserve team manager at Everton and I’m really enjoying that.” Stubbs added: “I was very lucky to have played with a fantastic club up in Scotland like Celtic. “ That would make it easier if the opportunity came along. I’m not saying I am going to get the Motherwell job, but I would never say never. “I am hoping to complete my pro licence in January so senior management is definitely the next step for me and something I want to do.”
  20. Luc Nijholt, was on the shortlist to replace McGhee could he be in the frame this time ?
  21. Stubbs received a glowing recommendation for the Fir Park job from Toffees boss Davie Moyes and it's believed he's now close to being handed his first managerial role by Well chairman John Boyle. Stubbs' knowledge of the English market is key while Well are also keen to retain their links with Everton, who allowed John Ruddy and Lukasz Jutkiewicz to join them on loan last season.
  22. If it was between him and McGhoo who would you take Johnstone ,don't sit on the fence now its one or the other.
